They usually don’t post any info. about planned resort activities until a couple of days before New Year’s Eve.

We are arriving later at night (flight lands at 945....I assume we will be to ASMo by 11/1115..). Do they still do pizza takeout/delivery until midnight? We won't get a chance to eat before our flight, most likely, as we are scrambling from work to the airport as it was the only flight that somewhat worked.

Otherwise, might have to do doordash or hope something is open at MCO when we land. Thanks!!

I'm bummed that AS Movies wasn't available for my trip because the theming nails that 90s Disney nostalgia so well. Glad it's a mile away from AS Music cause i want to see the Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians & Mighty Ducks theming in all their 90s glory haha

I don't know if you've been before (if so, you probably already know this), but it's very easy to walk between the different All-Star resorts. When we stay at Movies, we often walk over to eat at the food court at Music. It'll be very easy to walk over anytime you want! The Mighty Ducks section at Movies kind of lines up/is across the street from the main building/pool at Music, and there is a crosswalk there on the road that runs between them.

Very walkable between all 3 All-Stars.

And you don't need to use the sidewalk that runs out by the main road.

From Cinema Hall at Movies walk through the Dalmatians section,through the Mighty Ducks section and across a road and you will be in Music.

From Melody Hall at Music walk through the Calypso section and across a parking lot and you will be in the Home Run Hotel section of Sports.

At a steady pace it is about 10 minutes from Cinema Hall at Movies to Melody Hall at Music and about 10 minutes from Melody Hall to Stadium Hall.

The website says the food court closes at 11. The McDonald's close to the All-Stars is open 24 hours. I don't know how late the food court area is open at MCO.

Just wanted to update - we were there last week, fantastic stay. We have now stayed at all 3 all stars and Movies is definitely our favorite. It was so well done, felt better laid out (def better than Music), and the busses were PERFECT. Never waited more than 3 minutes or so. We were in Love Bug, building 6. As far as you can get from the main area and it was still not a bad walk at all.

We will definitely be back.

They had it last week - we happened to be getting chair massages in the arcade when it happened, ha! Went from silence to chaos real quick

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort Room Refurbishment Starts Late May 2026

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is heading into a room refurbishment starting late May 2026 at Walt Disney World. The work runs through the end of January 2027 - just over eight months of construction activity at the value resort.

Disney says guests staying during the refurbishment may see or hear construction work, and alternate paths of travel may be in place at times.

Disney hasn't specified which room buildings will be affected first or how the work will be phased across the property. That's typical for rolling room refurbs - Disney tends to close sections progressively rather than pulling an entire resort offline.

What is confirmed:

• Construction noise is possible during your stay
• Some walking routes around the resort may change
• All resort amenities are expected to remain open

The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool are not listed as affected by this work.

All-Star Movies received a significant room overhaul in the late 2010s and early 2020s, which brought updated flooring, a Murphy-style fold-down second bed, improved storage, better charging options, and a refreshed bathroom layout. This upcoming refurbishment appears to be a separate wave - it's not yet clear whether this will be a soft-goods update (linens, flooring, furnishings) or a more comprehensive reimagining.

Planning around the refurbishment

If you have a stay booked at All-Star Movies between late May 2026 and January 2027, you'll want to factor in the possibility of some daytime construction noise. Requesting a room away from active work areas is worth doing once more details about phasing become available.

If you're flexible on dates, booking before late May 2026 or after January 2027 avoids the construction period entirely.

Disney has not shared details on whether guests will get access to newly refurbished rooms during this period or only upon completion.
