Muddy Buddy Training!

ADP and Paul, how are the training going for both of you this week?

I just got back from a 3 mile run. I have my girls down here at work with me, and I took them to the college track. They played on the high jump mats and in the long jump sand box while I ran.

We just need to hear from Chris, and we'll have heard from everyone.

You podcast cruisers need to teach me how to use multiquote.

Hi Dave, My training is going great. Running anywhere from 3 to 5 miles at a time depending on time constraints. My strength training is through the roof! Feeling very strong. That doesn't equate to running very fast though. I have to remain strong due to work concerns so my running will not be maximized until I change careers. I can however, beat most people at arm wrestling!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Dave . . . to multiquote:

There is a button to the right of the quote button that has " and a + sign. To multiqoute, hit that button on the posts you want to quote instead of the regular quote button. Then when you hit reply all the posts that you quoted will come up into one reply screen. Does that make sense??

Glad you are feeling better Don. :thumbsup2

Thanks guys, got in a nice workout today. Did lots of pullup, dips, closed grip bench, some shoulder work and a good core. Also, I rode my bike to and from the gym, about 2 miles each way. Tomorrow I HAVE to run. That is my weakness right now! I hate running, I run slow, but I have to keep plugging away.

I think our definition of slow is a bit different :lmao: I can however beat most people in a thumb wrestling match!

Not too bad Dave. I was able to get out a few times this week and run. I plan on going out in the AM for a run as well.

I'll probably get out on the bike this week. I have been ignoring the bike because I feel I can get around on a bike rather easily. I'm going to combine a run and a bike ride to see how it goes.

Long, slow run for me today. I'm going to listen to a couple of podcasts and keep running until I get to tired to continue. It's a chilly, rainy day here so spending a little bit of it inside on the treadmill is no big deal. Are you all working out today? popcorn::

Wow, you have rain over there Paul? It's chilly here, but no rain. I have my long, slow run on tap for today too. I need to get out there soon.

Hope you had a good run Aaron, and good luck with the bike ride.

Shelly, thanks for the instructions for multiquote! That made a lot of sense and helped a lot. :thumbsup2

Question for you Dave. How would you like to be paid for the GKTW shirts? Money order by mail? Pay you cash when we see you in May? Whatever is easiest for you is what we'll do. Thanks again for handling this. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure yet Paul. I'll think about it and let you know when I get the final total for the shirts.

Hey guys, I'm here.

I have been very busy this week, so sorry I haven't gotten back to you.

My workouts are going well. Today I am going to run and bike as far as I can and see what happens.

I like the final shirt descriptions, so go ahead and get them. Can we get mud-proof shirts? :lmao:

Have a great day everyone. I will check in later. :thumbsup2

A couple shows! :scared1: I wish I could run like that, I just can't pull together anything outside of a couple miles. I'm still plugging away waiting to get off the plateau.

Today is bike/run day. Now that Paul is going for a 2 hr run the least I can do is run 3 miles today. Then a bike ride of 6-7 miles or so.

Ok, guys!

Back from my workout!

I did sculpting workout with weights, bike 1 mile (Woo Hoo! :cool1:), ran 1 mile (BIG WOO HOO!) and walked .5 mile for cool down then a good long stretch!

I feel great! I may be able to do this after all! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Chris is going to be a chizzled masterpiece! :lmao:

Yikes, I made it 3 miles, however it was very slow took me 28 mins. It was a bit windy though ;)

I'm going to rest for a bit then hit the bike for 6 miles.

You can definitely do this Chris. Nice job on your workout. I'm very impressed. BTW, I listened to the call-in show during my run. You cracked me up calling in from the emergency room. "I'm having a hard time hearing because of Mom's moaning..." :lmao:

28 minutes isn't that slow at all Don. Don't be so hard on yourself. That's quicker than 10 min miles. WTG! Good luck with the bike ride.

I did 14 tough miles today. The first 7 felt good, but the last 7 miles coming back were really tough. I don't think I ate enough last night, and I was running out of gas.

Enjoy the day everyone.
