Like 15 months ago we booked 2 rooms at animal kingdom, with animal views, about 3 months ago they called and said ak would be under construction/repair, They moved us to the polynesian on the conceair(sp) floor, we requested a view of the castle and i believe it is. Good or Bad, We leave in 9 days YES!!!

some of the Polyn 2nd floor does not have a balcony or patio.

You lucked out! We love AKL but it doesn't get much better than the Poly concierge!

I fail to see a question here...but financially you are coming out ahead. I do not take a vacation to be in the middle of a construction zone. Overall, I'm not sure you would get a lagoon view, but if you do you should consider it part of a Million Dreams.

Wow! No problem here at all! AKL is incredible (go eat at Boma just to see it)! But the POLY is the best place ever and concierge with an mk view is about as good as it gets!

I would take a POLY parking lot view over an Animal Kingdon Lodge Savanha view any day of the week.

You are comming out ahead.

I have stayed at both, and poly is the much better resort.

Wow...you deffinately recieved some major pixie dust! Hope you have a wonderful time. I think you will deffinately be more then pleased with it!

This sounds like a win-win situation! You can stay at AKL another time but you might find it hard to beat the atmosphere and convenience of the Poly! I think you will be very happy in almost ANY room there, especially Concierge. Our stay at the AKL was definitely below standard but we loved our Poly garden view room (including seeing the monorail whoosh by)!
