Most Embarrassing Cruise Moment....

Now my kids will never let me forget this and I have a nice little scar as a reminder.... One day a few months ago we were walking through a parking lot and DS was busy talking and not really looking where he was going, I told him he really needed to pay attention to where he was going and he turned around and said "Yeah, Mom, or you might fall off a pier"...

;) They will never let you live that one down, eh? If they do...your fellow cruising DIS friends wont. :rotfl2: To bad he didn't stumble...just a bit in the parking lot. ;)

omg christi's just takes the cake!! I was actually embarrassed FOR you when I read that! Did you carry anything when you fell in? Knowing me, I would have carried my $1,000 camera and all my shopping!

Cristi had the camera in her backpack at the time of her little swim. Unfortuanantly that wasn't the only camera casualty on our cruise. :( DH dropped our camera into the water at the end of the bike trail on CC. :(

I know you will never let me forget it Lisa. :) Yes, I did have the digital camera in my backpack, along with water bottles and sunscreen. Luckily, DH had the camcorder in his backpack. The funny thing is I didn't even want to bring the digital along, I just wanted to use the disposable waterproof ones. I still think maybe he pushed me..... He had been wanting a new camera all along..... ;) I did feel like a complete idiot, but figured I gave several people a funny story to tell after vacation.... :rolleyes2

Oh my gosh!! I started reading this thread and was thinking I didn't have any embarrasing stories from our two cruises, but then remembered Cristi falling off the pier!!! I couldn't believe when I went back to the list of threads and sure enough Cristi was the last poster!!!

What a story. That is one that will live for ages!!!

Darci

:tiptoe: I will be sure to walk VERY carefully on piers from now on.... ;)

Yes, the 12/15/07 will be on alert when you set foot off the ship. ;)

My Husband and I were eating at Animator's Palette. Our Waiter pulled out my chair and when I sat handed me my cloth napkin. I sat and placed my napkin in my lap. I kept dropping my napkin so I tucked it in my lap. When we got up to go all of the dishes started to fall and the tablecloth was coming off our table. I realized then that I had accidently tucked the tablecloth in my lap. I was soooo embarassed .   My Husband and I still laugh about it.

I'm reading this threads :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: so hard nearly wetting myself.

Couldn't sleep so started reading new threads, this was the killer. I started about 4:30 am trying real hard to contain myself. Don't want to wake Ds who has to get up at 6:00 am.

This thread has been a scream :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: .

Wish I had one to share but to busy laughing can't think of one at the moment :rolleyes1

it was my turn again and I was determined this time I would make it - I dove down deep, grabbed Mickey's head and then it was gone!

I came to the surface and told my DH - I think I knocked his head off -

Okay, I have read through a lot of this thread...had a smile or two. The "poop on my shoe" made me chuckle......"no pants" actually had a little laugh.......but this.......knocking Mickey's head off ....and the great visual you have created......
PRICELESS!! My kids came running to see why I was laughing so hard!!
Thanks for the laugh!!

Ok we are leaving in (Yikes! :scared1: ) 4 days for our week in Orlando then finishing off with 3 nights on the Wonder!
I have been reading this thread in between packing, laundry, cleaning and making lists. My kids keep running in to see why mom is practically falling out of the chair laughing.
Making mental notes to: not tuck tablecloth into my pants
not to fall off any piers
remember to leave out pants/shorts last night
not twist the sunken Mickey head
not plow down my kids on the docks
remember my room key EVERY time I walk out
and duck when waiters drop stuff

This will be my families 1st DCL, and we just got upgraded from cat 9 to cat 6. We have a verhanda and my son (age 9) was dancing around singing "We have a porch!!"

I was just looking at the thread about the music in the DCL hallways, and thought of another embarrassing moment (once again my DH).

We were on Wonder in December, 2002, with my FIL, who had always dreamed of going on a cruise. He had never even had a real vacation in his life. Even when the family was "away on vacation" he would have to go back and forth to work every day.

SOOO...

During the holiday cruises, they play some great holiday music in the hallways. One of the tracks is James Brown's version of "White Christmas". DH and his dad were dancing in the hallway on our way back to the room very late one night (some time after midnight). I was walking a good distance ahead of them, trying to ignore them. I was opening the door to our room, and turned back to see where they were, just in time to see them dance into someone's large collection of used room service items--you know, all those nice big aluminum trays and dishes and covers! They made a HUGE amount of noise, and a rather large mess. Then they started laughing so hard that they were both crying by the time they got to the room. I made them call housekeeping and confess that they had made a large mess in the hallway on Deck 6! It's hard to believe that all we had been drinking that night was Coke!

That's a cute story. I'm sure they will cherish this crazy moment and say remember when...

Note to self: Watch out for room service trays on floor when dancing in the halls.

Ok keep em coming.

Ok Guys I have one: Me my dh, my ds15, and dd18 were in the 1st 10-day christmas cruise in 04. It has been a long running joke in our house that my dd18 will do just about anything to make a quick buck while my ds15 has no concept of money. He once lost his wallet with $80 in it and just shrugged it off. My dd lost $40 once and my dh had to literally calm her down out of hysterics. We thought she would need years of therapy to get over that one! So on our cruise I set out to prove that dd would indeed do just about anything for$$$. So I tolds her that I would give her $10 if she wore an Incredibles mask all evening (from about 3pm until she went to bed) on the ship, through dinner and everything. We had the masks because we were celebrating my dh's 40th b'day on the cruise. She jumped at the offer. So during the show (Taylor Mason, ventriliquist) we made sure to draw plenty of attention to her. When Taylor saw her she immediately turned BEET RED. He asked her IN THE THEATRE in front of everyone what bet she lost!!! Then he made her come up on stage and they put her and her violet mask on the BIG SCREEN!!! Did I forget to mention that the other part of the bet was that whenever anyone asked her why she had the mask on she had to do her best Incredibles impersonation and say, very loudly "BECAUSE I'M VIOLET". Needless to say he had alot of fun with her. She was very embarassed, but still thought the $10 bucks was worth it. Ds says noway he would have ever done it. The last cruise we went on was Sept 05 and Taylor was on once again. He remembered dd and wrote her a little note and even called her Violet! Now we have a picture of Taylor, Amber(dd) and "Romeo" the puppet to help us remember this great moment :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's not fare that should have been worth at least 25.00 :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
