I think that the Living Seas needs something new. Since they took out the ride, it's just your basic aquarium that you could see just about anywhere in the country. It need either a new ride or something to make it worth seeing.
Not only is it now "just another aquarium," but it doesn't even stand out as a very good one of those! IMHO the National Aquarium in Baltimore is nicer (includes a Dolphin show) in attractions and in aesthetics. The Living Seas just looks/feels old and tired to me.
Yes, the Living Seas needs a can of pixie dust sprayed all over it.
I aslo have to add that Food Rocks, needs to be redone. Take it out or something. Bring back Kitchen Kabaret!!!! Also the conservation themed movie with Timon and Pumbaa needs some serious help. Although it is better than its earlier couterpart Symbiosis, it has become another snorer!
I went there last year and the manatees weren't even there cause their area was being redone . I don't think I'll bother with going to the Living Seas when I am there in 2 weeks because there really isn't anything to do there and the film is too boring to watch again and again in my opinion.
I remember when it first opened and the line was so long and there was plenty of neat fish to look at, seacabs were running, and it seemed more lively. Hopefully this is on the list to be redone with some sort of actual ride.
The Living Seas is so far off from "Living" it isn't funny. We were there 3 years ago, and it was so sad. I actually felt sorry for the manatees, they weren't getting many visitors. Seems alot of people are avoiding TLS because it's depressing. I love sea life and know that Disney, with the help of it's Imagineers, could turn this pavillion into the shining spot in FW. Why is it they don't see what it's become????
I agree with The Living Seas but I think The Land could use some sprucing up too. Over all though, Living Seas won my vote because we don't even go there any more...nothing to do.
I hate to "pile on", but Living Seas is really pretty embarrassing as a Disney attraction. There is so much they could do with that theme....even if they just used Little Mermaid theming it would at least give it a little Disney magic. As it is, it is not very special in our opinion and won't be on our visiting list.
Beyond that, I think Innoventions could step up in the technology side. More virtual reality, more computer stuff....just seems like it is dated technology. But maybe that's just my impression.
I remember anxiously awaiting the opening of The Living Seas. After our first trip through I think I've only been one other time. It was a let down from the start. Next to the JIYI rehab this is one of the worst attractions I've ever seen from Disney.
Living Seas needs help - we go there since DS 3 1/2 finds it interesting. I was impressed the first time but then realised the second time that it could use some help.
Even something so fundamental as having a CM or two who knows about upkeep and facts of the attraction to have a discussion with would be a good start
