DTD Mid November is good, usually, weather-wise. I can warn you though that the last day of F&W can be a madhouse. We did that in 2006 and the crowds were worse than we had expected. I was on the phone today with CRO trying to wheedle a pin code out of the CM to tack on a day or two onsite before our timeshare stay. I'd heard some people got a 40% off code for the dates I wanted. No dice. sigh.

UMA I can appreciate the whole Jordon on a health-kick thing. Lowell's boy is doing weight lifting and nutrition stuff and it's like role-reversal hearing him tell US how important nutrition is and how badly most Americans eat.

NAB Don't worry about Buddy. They always adapt really quickly and it shouldn't be an issue at all in a few days.

I love those specs........My daughter went with me the last pick out frames day cause she said I was an old memere........geesh........I thought that was what I was.....an old memere.....so anyways....she picked my frames and i do like them.....but I only have photos of me with dead critters so I will have to wait and have a photo shoot done .......minus the critters.

Hubby went to Home depot ...should of gone too so I could pick out some overhead lights for the kitchen.....although he said we dont need any....the old ones are fine......geesh......just wanted to update the kitchen a wee bit....the ones we have now are hanging ones ......six ones on each hanging one and one fat one in the corner .....so we have alot of light coming in...

Made homemade pizza for supper......and If I do say so myself ...IT WAS DELICIOUS.......my homemade sauce, a whole green pepper and onion cut up...some pepperoni ......HOT RED PEPPERS......WOWZA and italian seasonings.
oh yah ......cheese too.....

Speaking of lights, DD's former BF gave us a Halogen lamp. He said it would flood the room with light, and it sure does, I love it.

I think DD has practically moved out now, she is spending most nights at her new BF's apartment. TBD what happens with that, he is going to law school somewhere in May Nice boy, I like him. (well, I met him like 3 times).
So I am feeling like an empty nester now,,,,,,,,,, Don't know how I feel about it, really.

I have had a cold, so I ain't been good company. How is everyone doing? We finally got some real, actual snow! It's mostly melted now, but I really enjoyed it while it lasted!!

So, my DH is making chocolate chip cookies at this very moment.....

He wanted me to do it but I'm dieting and that would be WAYYYYyyyy too nice of me. It's the Mrs. Fields recipe too (AAAAAaaaargh!). I took one and ate it. Shhhhh! OMGosh it was goooood. He has to store the rest in his car's locked trunk. Yeh, I'm that weak.

I bet that one cookie was like 200 calories. CRAP!

I went to the Casino last night, or should I say last night and this morning. Early. Anyway. Great time, I still own my house and I won just a little. Basketball today and a volleyball tourney all day tomorrow. Finished off with dinner at a friends house. I need the weekend to hurry up and get over so I can get some rest. A slumber party. Amazing, simply amazing.

Morning all,

Went to bed at 9:30 last night. That is not like me at all. And I am still tired this morning.

We picked Buddy up from the vet. I feel really bad watching him with no claws even though I know it had to be done. I can tell he is really confused.

Also went to the kitchen place last night to get a quote, way more then we thought it would be, going to go to Home Depot for another quote.

We missed you last night, Nabbie! I also think Buddy will bounce back in no time. I took the puppies to PetSmart for a toenail trimming today and Sukie was a little nervous riding in the car. The last time they went for a ride they were neutered. But she settled down pretty quickly.

Remodeling is ALWAYS more than you think it is going to be.

Started looking at this year's possible trip to Disney. Couldn't decide if I wanted to go for F&W or Christmas. Didja know that last year the first MVMCP was the day after the last day of F&W? So I think mid November it is.

I am thinking about December for a trip. Mony's going a little later than I was thinking of though.

Melinda - Weekends are always spotty in terms of who is around. I read up earlier, but I just didn't feel like posting then because the puppies were playful and hubby was riling them up so I couldn't think straight to type until they settled down.

Marita, I have been an empty nester for 7 years now (except for a few summers) We have reached the point where we aren't too sad to have her go back to her own place after a visit. You really do learn to make the most of their visits when they are home. DD's next visit home will be for hubby's birthday in early March. Then it will be in May for her graduation. We only see her every couple months these days.
