Yep, Norton worked for me. It was tough to be able to load it up because several keys weren't working because of the virus. I managed to put on a free trial version of it even though I had trouble typing and after it was cleaned up, I was able to buy the full version.

And we haven't had Wendy there in eons

Oh, I have been veeeeery bad and have disappeared for a long time. Again. And supposedly I have more free time since I am back to being on unemployment again. But I have been doing house projects and other non-computer things and I just haven't had much motivation to DIS. I do miss you all, though.

In a brief peek, I saw that MommyP had the new baby. and that all of you are your usual wild, crazy and fun-loving selves, so all is well in the world.

Morning all,

Went to bed at 9:30 last night. That is not like me at all. And I am still tired this morning.

We picked Buddy up from the vet. I feel really bad watching him with no claws even though I know it had to be done. I can tell he is really confused.

Also went to the kitchen place last night to get a quote, way more then we thought it would be, going to go to Home Depot for another quote.

This morning Hannah and I are off for a retreat at the church for her First Holy Communion. She is pretty excited about it.

Lexi-- I think Mommy P birthday is May 25th...

Mony-- I too love POR !! That is where Lexi and I stayed in Sept.

Lil'g-- you mean the dress you wore home on the plane too....

W.T's -- You are one funny writer. But I knew that from the Trip Report you abandoned a long time ago.

I remember when our Herman had his claws done.........his front paws were so strong that he could jump from a standing position and hold onto the door frame at the three foot mark.....yah I remember measuring......your buddy will get over it......

First communions have changed from when We did it ......to my kids to our grandkids.......we had the fancy dress and the fancy veil. My kids had a covering like an Eucharistic Minister would have.....and the same with the grandkids....it was a big deal back then too.......Love their faces....
Does your dd do her Confirmation at the same time.......they are doing that alot lately....

I don't have any whiskey . In this state, alcohol is only available at State Liquor Stores. I'd have to put on a disguise to enter one. So I made due with a double dose of NyQuil....I'm a lush! But doubling up knocked me out, thus I didn't cough as bad.

Wait, Beer is available at gas stations along with hard lemonade type drinks and wine coolers.....which the politicians here feel are gate-way drinks for our youth. It's usually a big ticket issue at every election. Youth don't get alcohol at gas stations....they get it from their parents' fridge and liquor cabinets, duh.

hey hey - I did it!! Went and worked out for an hour!!

Gee Utahwendymama, I always feel like a lush!! I didnt double up or single up last night - guess I'm behind!!

Nab I was in bed at 9:30 too, and I fell asleep in the chair at 8 - I think I may be caught up on my sleep!!

Mony the only thing I didnt like about POR was the busses - and the mansions were too far from the food court (to refill my mugs!!) BUT it was free dining, ('06) and I dont think Disney was ready for the crowds that week - the week before and after were really slow weeks!!

Pumba Lutherans do different communions - our Evangelical Lutheran Church leaves it up to the parents and a meeting with the Pastor so no big communion day - Confirmation is our big deal - usually in Jr Hi after a year or two of classes - some chuches do the robes tho - depends - its still very special time!!

LOL, I just noticed your and Uma's locations today. I noticed Twinkie's before.

I am STILL located on my couch, though....

Got up at the crack of dawn (for me) today, at 8:45. Before hubby even, which is practically unheard of.
I may or may not have donned my dress, heels and pearls and perfectly pressed apron to make breakfast (including HOT syrup) for DH.
Caught up here, there and on peeps and now trying to do some work, since a screen froze on me yesterday. I really need to go to the store and stock up on some of MY grocery items, and get a watch battery at Walmart, but it's a dreary day out. I hate dreary days!!!!!!! And its supposed to get cold tomorrow, ACK! So maybe I better do it today.

DD is going bike shopping later today with DH, why, I don't know yet
She goes to the gym and runs around like crazy both as a player and a referee in Lacross. Which reminds me, they pay her $50 a game to be a referee. Seems like a lot to me for an hour, but YAY for her! (mot like it's an every thing, but hey, it helps!)

DS is going to my nephew's McMansion today with his friend to install a security system. He is not taking payment, since said nephew wrote him a letter of recommendation for the Air Force. Nephew was in Army Intelligence, so I guess that had some weight.

I did? Hee hee. I'm all but worthless in the exercise department. I'm stuck in couch/bed mode. So do an extra mile/lap for me I'm doing my neblulizer breathing treatments which help but make my heart race from the albuterol (epinepherine...sp?). Thank God I own one for emergencies....Me, Norah and Jordan have asthma symptoms when we're coughing. LOVE your location Sandy! I didn't see it before

Norah's is all stuffed up with boogers which her one eye also has a boogery discharge (That's STUFFED!) so she's on the Dimetapp.

YAY for Jordan getting health concious (sp) My DD did that sometime in her teens. Now we have nothing but fish and veggies and fruit in the house, and fat free milk and in huge bags from Coscos, so there is NO room in the freezer for my french bread pizza, qiuiche or Texas toast.
I was thinking of making chicken a la king tonight, but it just does NOT sound good with fat-free milk. Beurk!

So I just got a Whopper and small fries from BK. I got half the whopper left, but thought I would save it in case I get hungry later, to the dismay of my dog.

Yes First Holy Communion has changed since I was a girl too Pumba. They still get to wear fancy white dresses. I wanted Hannah to wear a veil but she wouldn't go for it . When she got her hair done at BBB she got a tiara and that is what she wants in her hair.

Now the Italian girl in her class I am sure will be dressed with everything. Her mother told me the other day they have hired a photographer for the day too. Plus they give out favours just like a wedding but she called them something else.

They used to do Confirmation the same time but changed it because the kids were picking weird names from movies and TV Now they do it in grade 8.

Sandy-- way to go on doing the exercise. Do we get to see what your metal looks like?

Marita-- you only ate half a hamburger.... That is how you stay so skinny. Mine would have been gone with an order of fries and a diet coke.....

I went to the women's basketball game Thursday and someone asked me to go to the game next Thursday with them, in New Orleans. So I'm taking an extra day off and headin' to N'awlins. We're there 3 days ahead of Mardi Gras season, so I found a great rate on a room. Gonna let Bush pay for it with his tax rebate.
Started looking at this year's possible trip to Disney. Couldn't decide if I wanted to go for F&W or Christmas. Didja know that last year the first MVMCP was the day after the last day of F&W? So I think mid November it is.

Howdy, Meeps!

I have had a cold, so I ain't been good company. How is everyone doing? We finally got some real, actual snow! It's mostly melted now, but I really enjoyed it while it lasted!!

Oh, and I got GLASSES!! This is my first time I've ever had to wear them, so they will take some getting used to. Here is a pic of me and my spectacles! Feel free to mock me and call me four-eyes now!
