so whats up guys......I am glad that I have this little place on the net to come to and discuss the days happening.....

Pumba, I so agree with that. I am not being very talkative tonight, such a busy week last week with budgets (that we have to redo in 2 weeks) and next week another forecast (working the 4th). Then the big "REAL" budget for two months. I just want to vegge for a few days.....

But so nice to be able to come here and talk to friends

Hi Pumba!

It is very hot here also. The air is so thick . Can't be outside too long. Our pool is also not ready. Hopefully it will be in a few days. Ou a/c has not stopped running. Should be a high bill - the power company loves this weather.

hi Marita!

We're watching a Harry Potter movie...again :) My daughters are refreshing their memories before the next movie and book come out.

I want to reread the 5th and 6th before the next movie and book come out.
I'm good on the movies (I have the first through fourth pretty much memorized!).

My youngest has been rereading the books this month and is on # 6 now. I can't tell you how many times they reread the books and watched the movies. They love them!

I think that invention could have save my marriage:confused3 :confused3 :surfweb:

Quoting my former assistant when I worked at a place that had at LEAST once a year reorgs and layoffs for 5 years:

Change is Good, We LOVE change, We EMBRACE change.........

The place finally folded.
Bonus points to whoever can guess what it was.

I'll take a guess-

the disney institute?

Another rough day at work for me, but after work I went out to dinner with my four girlfriends who I went to Disney with in January. Our friend from Florida was up visiting her family. We had a wonderfu visit. Made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Grammy - loved your post!

 miinie moo's "post-her" pic.! & here i was thinking it was some naughty ....rustlers....duke & the gang, of course, there's sumpthin very appealing to cow girls~ all decked out...in all their brands. :flower3:

buttie..minnie moo~:snooty: , i thought we "all agreed"..limiting the "bulls"
esp. the crappies..., no wonder iam all worn out, :scared: --chasing
them all out here! right, underdog? "two"..is a good round number....

do you guys like the signature stuff? maybe lil' moo could find an
appoirate bull...that my lil'grumpy could ride around? :dance3:
Glad you liked the pic, Lil G!

Hey, I'm not limiting the bulls! All of us heifers must be intimidating :lmao:

I think you might exceed the signature limitations if you add a bull pic to that siggie!!! It looks fantabulous as is :thumbsup2 But you ARE making us all jealous ;)

I went to the Dr. earlier today due to having one sore breast for no identifiable reason. The doctor couldn't feel anything amiss, but it hurt when he pressed in one particular spot. I have an apt. for a mamogram tomorrow. I bet that's going to feel great when I'm sore to start with. :scared1: This whole thing has me nervous and on edge. I have been very lax about my annual exams, much less about getting mamograms.

Other than that, my addtional whining is that Lowell's son didn't graduate. And daughter # 2 failed ninth grade. Again. Unbelieveable. Her mom caught her smoking, and she has been hanging with a bad crowd. They may send her to a different school, but if she seeks out the bad crowd wherever she goes, I don't know if it will help any. I have decided that I am glad I never had kids. It's bad enough dealing with this. I hope none of you ever have to deal with these sorts of problems, but kids certainly face a lot of carp these days, and a lot of adverse peer pressure.

Before I put everyone on a complete downer, I'll try to think of something more cheerful to talk about. Hmmmm. Errrr. Nothing comes to mind. :confused3 Sorry to be so gloomy.
:grouphug: We are here for venting, Kay, as well as celebrating life's high points!!! I echo MommyP's and others' comments about following up with mammograms religiously. I do because I lost my mom at age 64 due to breast cancer. She originally had it at a pretty young age (early 40s), then it metastasized and came back about 15 years later. She fought it hard for a number of years.

Hope things turn around for the kids - have any of them lived with Lowell and you for any length of time? Sounds like they might benefit from a change of venue . . . `

How am I going to go on the wicked rides in Sept.? Hannah for sure won't go.
Oh, you'll be with some friends who may prefer the wimpier rides, Nabbie! Hannah can hang out with them (not mentioning any names) :rolleyes1

Moo scares me because she is good at spelling. shhh don't tell her.
:rotfl: Caught that comment, Nab!!! Goog spelling was drilled into me in school, plus I was a voracious reader - ALWAYS have my nose in a book as a kid. I need to find a job as a proofreader after I retire from my current job. I find spelling and grammar mistakes in books that I read ALL the time!!! They NEED me to be their proofreader!!! I want to see if that is a job that can be done from home so I can work from my sofa like Marita

Hee hee - I made the correct guess also!

Good evenin'(or is it morning where you are?) meeps. got a little good news to share with celerystalker. My niece's ice cream shop, The Pied Piper will be featured on Tennessee Crossroads on PBS this week. It comes on at 7 on Thursday night and 10 on Sunday morning in Nashville. She only been open a couple of months and business is booming. We're so proud. BTW, that was also the name of her mother's day care for years.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!

Melinda-- Ouch on the sunburn. Is Kings Island the Paramount Park there?
Yep...The sunburn was pretty minimal. I've been tanning at the ballpark too but have unfortunately been wearing short sleeve instead of sleeveless shirts...not pretty at the pool. And YES King's Island is the Paramount Park round these parts.
We're watching a Harry Potter movie...again :) My daughters are refreshing their memories before the next movie and book come out.
I'm good on the movies (I have the first through fourth pretty much memorized!).
That's what DD17 was readig at the pool yesterday! And I have the movies about memorized too. Can't wait for the new one if DS doesn't drive me crazy first. Every time a commercial comes on for Transformers or Harry Potter, he asks me "when is it July?" That's only about 400 times a day. FYI.

That's so exciting! Where is it? In Nashville?

Have a great day!

Last edited by Minnie_Moo : Today at 12:47 AM. Reason: Sorry to be o late, Marita - after I got home, I was on the phone for an hour. Yikes!

Minni_Moo glad you had Fun at dinner!:thumbsup2 Sorry about your day at work:hug:

An hour on the phone, no big deal, I opened our phone bill about 6 months ago and was $700.00. That's a littlemore than an hour.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My cousin's wife went through a similar situation with breast cancer. She had been free of it for years but it came back, and that time no treatments of any type helped her. It was very sad.

As for the kids, no they have never lived with us. It wasn't really an option for a number of reasons. At this point daughter # 1 is 18 and is working full time and has moved out. Son is nearly 21 and needs a job and a life, and hopefully he'll move out in a year or two, and daughter 2 is the only remaining child to worry about. At the rate she's going, she'll be 20 when she gets out of high school, just like the boy, but if she straightens out her life that is the more important issue.

Pumba That's scary how at a certain point in your life you stopped being healthy and carefree and developed so many health problems. It sounds like you are being very serious in dealing with all of them and I give you credit for your patience and discipline.

Morning All,

Moo -- sorry to hear about you day  You need that retirement ticker fast.

DonaldTDuck-- how cool for your niece. We don't get that show here I don't think.

Marita-- glad your taking a few nights to just relax.

Underdog-- a $700.00 phone bill :scared1: Almost anywhere we call here is long distance, we try to use our cell phone which has a good plan for that.

Last day of school !! I am sleeping in tomorrow that is for sure.

I am really grumpy today to and don't know why. Poor kids this morning they were all happy and mommy was yelling at them to get there stuff done.

I packed both of them their favourite things for lunch. Including a lunchable. I usually don't buy them because they are a waste of money but they have been asking forever for one so I got them yesterday.

I think I will go lay back down, and hopefully wake up on the right side of the bed this time.:lmao:

Goog Morning All!

I have a bit of a headache today. Hopefully it goes away.

Nothing big happening here.

Lots of laundry. Thankfully Chad vacuumed the house last night for me.

My stress relief tea is a joke. But I'm learning to enjoy the taste. Maybe I can be sophisticated after all. :rotfl:

100 Bonus points for Poly!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you, thank you very much:)

We loved the Institute ! Our daughters took courses there and had a fantastic time- they were even taken below the HM and shown how the holographs were made!

Undie- I'd have had a heart attack:eek:

So much to say! Ack!

Kay  I haven't had a mammogram yet, but I'm not looking forward to my first. The pap smears are bad enough. I hope everything is ok.

Moo and Nab - Do not worry one bit about not having someone to NOT ride rides with - Tammy is a big ole fraidy cat. And she's going to be using Jeanne as an excuse. I just hope I have someone to ride the scary rides with me! Cuz I love them.

Nab - woo woo on the last day of school!

marita - the disney institute always intriqued me, but I didn't get what you actually did if you went there.
