Thanks for the tip, Pumba!

It's dreary and raining here today, which is foiling my plan to go grocery shopping, dangitt! It's throwing a wrench into my schedule, so I was working instead of shopping or cleaning, LOL. I hate, hate, hate going out on dreary days, and even more in the rain on dreary days.
Great, newblip on TV just said heavy rain is coming in the next 15-20 mins, and it;s going to rain all day :sad1:

I was up till 3am doing stuff, like boiling eggs for the deviled eggs, folding laundry, cleaning stuff. A nap is surely in my future today. The eggs look like they will be perfect. Just cracked the shells and put them back in the fridge in the carton, on their sides.

Neatest thing today: we got the cable tv on Monday, right? Today, the phone rang, and the phone # and caller ID showed up on the TV! Ok, I'm easily amazed, apparently. I read about that, but I thought you had to go to some site to enable it.

PS: OMG, it's coming down in BUCKETS now, and it's almost dark outside

Thanks, Pumba! I'm thankful for all my online friends too.

The turkey cake looks just the same as the one on my facebook page.
there were so many desserts, no one ate it. :(

Oh well.

marita - my friend Pat had the same thing happen with her tv! it amazed her as well.

I'm working today and friday.
woo.
gotta keep busy to keep the urge to drink far far away.

Cel, woot for working, I guess? Never did see the cake pic on FB, I'll have to hunt for it.

It finally stopped raining here, so I am getting my mind ready for going out (did I mention I hate shopping almost as much as Pumba hates snow?)

Of my grand plans for today, so far all I accomplished was to put part of the laundry away. Does not bode well for my mile long list... I'll get moving as soon as this episode of Judge Alex is over. :rolleyes1

And I am grateful for all my friends here too, about the only social life I have

Proving I'm not lost......

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to all! Tomorrow I cook for Tim's side of the family and my mom.

It's also Matt's 13th birthday! I will officially be a mother of a teenager at 2:03am.

10 days til Tim and I leave for Cancun. I'll miss a week of class but I'll have all my assignments finished and turned in next Thursday. Cause i'm down like that.

Hope all is well with my moover friends.

Thanks for checking in, Mony!!

W00t on having a teen  Have a great time in Cancun!!

I'm back from the store, now the real work can begin (or not)

Thought I better check in over here, so no one came a stalkin' me. :tiptoe: :rotfl:

I've been wicked busy with the MMO Thanksgiving meal, and now we turn into Santa's workshop. Got to paint 130+ t-shirts for work in 10 days. It will be a reindeer pattern. We will paint each child's foot for the face and use both their hands for the antlers. That should be LOADS of fun!....NOT! We struggle getting them to hold their fingers out to do their handprints, so I suspect we are really gonna have trouble with painting their feet! Should be cute, and there will be pics over there. ;)

Just finished cooking 2 chocolate chip pies and have a third in the oven. I still have to make a Hershey bar pie. The kids and I have had our haircuts, so we are good to go. :thumbsup2 I'm taking them to my parents, and my DH is staying here with his mom. I haven't had time to get on here and tell you, but she got SHINGLES! It is on her forehead and in her eye! :scared: She has been going to the eye dr. every week, and everything is good, but she has had a hard time dealing with all of this, so we decided it was best for DH to stay in town with her. Plus it saves us in dog boarding fees. :thumbsup2

I hope all the Moovers have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! I'm very thankful for my friends here. :grouphug: I know I haven't posted much lately, but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Gobble, Gobble.....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY FRIENDS!!!

Enjoy your holiday, you all deserve it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, ONE & ALL!

Hope everyone has a happy, blessed day with family and friends. We are not traveling due to DS having the flu Sun/Mon/Tues. Mimi has also been exposed by a friend. That's definitely something we don't want to share with family and friends....namely my grandmother who just moved to assisted living after a hospital stay. So. DxSIL invited us over to her house so we're going there tonight.

Hope all is well with all of you. ((big hugs))

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Moover friends!

We are off to BIL's house in few. Hope you all have a great and thankful day.

still waiting for the lovely part to happen......food is in the oven....I am almost ready to put the potatoes on to boil and everything else will be finished too.....I did cook the carrots this morning.....all pies are done and in fridge.......ready to go and whip the whipping cream......I put the bowl and the beaters in the freezer to get cold too.....I love the real stuff once or twice a year.....YUMMY....
The turkey smells delicious.....I did make vegetarian gravy for son in law and his stuffing is separate from the bird.....in aluminum foil......and daughter is bringing his tofu turkey.....(shudder here )....ROFL.
Hope you all are happy today and healthy too from the sounds of some.

we have shopped, cooked and eaten it all.......that is the best part of Thanksgiving day......family and friends and good food to share......except that tofu thing...hahaha....we laughed and made fun of it.....I did make(son in law) him an apple pie so he could have something with no milk products too....lactose intolerant too......so we all ate good..
I have a photo of the three pies.....one regular ten inch apple pie .....one graham cracker crust with the cheesecake in it.....and hubbies big pie....so if someone wants to post it so others can see.....send me a pm with an email cause I do not know how to put a photo on this place....

Sounds like you had a fabulous Thanksgiving, Pumba!

We had a fairly low key day at my BIL and SIL's yesterday. Very relaxing and lots of good food. We had a lot of lower calorie options. I added up my calories from Thanksgiving this morning, and while I was over my goal by quite a bit, I still managed to keep it under 2,000 and got in a little exercise last night. I think a high calorie day once in a while helps rev up my metabolism (rationalizing that Godiva chocolate martini that I had ;))

I'm not a Black Friday shopper, so I've just been puttering around the house so far today :goodvibes

Hello day after the turkey day.....Today is our sons 40th birthday and I know he is older then most of you guys here......but i am still YOUNG AT HEART.......so today it was pouring pump handles and hubby and I went to another city to look at cars........we are now the proud owners of a 2010 Corolla S.....it is so pretty and the first car we have had in eons....we have had two trucks and then before that we owned two jeeps....so this is a first in quite a few years.it is not the red one we wanted ....but this steel grey will do....

Guess whats for supper.........TURKEY.........have a great day everyone.

and I dont do black friday cause it is a zoo out there and people run you down:rotfl:

Happy birthing day to you, Pumba, and Happy 40th to your DS! YAY for a new car!!

Moo, a little Godiva is all part of a good Thanksgiving :cool2:

We had a nice afternoon at BIL's yesterday, then DS got home about 7pm, and DD and his friend dragged him out to play pool and darts till 1 AM..

It's so good to have him home :cheer2: Waiting for DH to get back from the store now with potatoes and eggs. DS wants Bratkartoffeln (fried sliced like FF potatoes in salt pork) with fried eggs for dinner. I already cut up the salt pork, now I am waiting for DH to get back to start peeling and cutting potatoes :scared: The things we do for our kids.....

pumba - did you try the tofu turkey?
I wonder what they taste like.
Congrats on the car.
I have a 2005 corolla S - I love it!
It's got 100,000 miles on it now.

Cel...I will tell you that it smelled delicious and I didnt try it. But it was stuffed with herbs and spices to make it very tempting.....I was to full to try it. Some day I will.....

I will put out my confession.......I do not drive. I do not even have a drivers license. I do not even want to. I had my learners permit years ago when our little munchkins were young. Now I was not driving at the time, but we were plowed down by a group of young people in a car with ten day new plates on it. They were going to fast and I saw them coming and I said omg they are going to hit us and they did.....I had minor whiplash as I held onto the kids really tight.(before car seats)...But the fear of having someone hit us makes it so when we go thru an intersection I shut my eyes sometimes......especially if there is heavy traffic. Scares me to death......so I can see myself learning how to drive and the instructor watching me close my eyes as we go thru an intersection.......HAHAHA......probably give the guy a heart attack.

hubby is hunting and I slept in until 7:30.....I was recooping from the turkey day ......
it rained hard all day yesterday and into last night and now the winds are unreal.....like hurricane force almost.....scared poor megara to death......but I told her to go poop or else she wasnt coming in......she pooped finally:lovestruc
