When Bing sings I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas, I dream with him. I even learned it in French 40 years ago for class. But Homer Simpson's version of We Wish You a Merry Christmas rocks. But Allie, yours is right up at the top. My sister and I sing that to embarass her kids. Bbn, Deano's version IS the best, but is done so well in Elf it's surprising.
Our stay at WDW has been extended by a night. We are going to Boca Raton for a ball game on Sunday the 11th and had planned to stay at a cheaper hotel that night before doing Universal on Monday. I went to Expedia today, and they had Pop Century for $49 for that night. Yea. So I get to stay at another new resort. And can just have Disney deal with our luggage that day.
Creme Brulee? I thought the only dessert at Le Cellier was whiskey cake. At least, the only one for me.

I had no idea! I always sang it happy in my head, thinking he came back. See what printing the lyrics does to you?

Oh, I am sorry if I messed this up for you! Let's just say I interpreted that wrong and he DID come back, OK? I'm sure he did!

Pumba, too funny about the run over by a reindeer! Im sure it's not that funny to you.

I got a great email at work today, from the president of Disney parks and resorts (well, everybody in Outlook did).
A personalized little movie about the new "What will you celebrate?" promotion.
So the premise was, we will transform the entire park for this special person.
So, it had my name on the Marquee of Small World (it's a 'last name' world), "it all started with Marita" on the back of a parade float, A big banner wishing me Happy Holidays hung on Main Street, Big 'last name' Mountain RR", the horse trolly with my name on the back, my name on the marquee of the Main Street Movie Theater, "Marita's special Holiday Turkey Legs", a special "Marita's Entrace, a bunch of other stuff, and in the end, Fireworks that exploded to "Happy Holidays Marita"
Really cool! I would post the link, but it has my last name in it, so I won't.

Of course there was a disclaimer, they wont actually turn over the entire MK to one person. Guess just to set the tone for upcoming promotion. But if you want me to send it to you, pm me.

ETA: I just looked more closely at the package I thought was xmas ribbons. But why is it in the guest bathroom??
Well, it's Xmas themed TP, with stars and ribbons and Xmas trees! I dont know who to blame for this!

Hola, Moovers! Day four and counting of my office Unabomber wearing the same outfit. P.U! :sad2:

Seems like there was a fair amount of activity here today, even despite our many travelers.

The best version of this song, IMO, is the Bing Crosby / David Bowie duet. The song itself starts at 1:46 in this video.

-- Rob

ITA! In fact, it's the only version of that song that counts, if you ask me. ::yes::

Lynt, I love that latin song too. And goog job on posting the Little Drummer Boy Lyrics!

We did take a couple of pics at lunch, but I threatened Moo if she dared to post them, as I was NOT feeling photogenic! (SEE THAT MOO?)
ALAS, bedtime here too. I am NOT made to get up early, it goes against my nature!

Thanks, Marita! Now let Moo post the pics! Pretty please? :flower3:

You can say that again, but I think that's one of the reasons I like you.

Well, well...aren't you being agreeable today?

L...schlumphy? Really? Your words get wIerder and wIerder by the minute, I swear. Good luck with schlumphs-a-lot.

Okay. Now you have to post your favorite Christmas food. Mine would have to be the cookies. Definitely the cookies! I can pretty much take or leave most food in life (except pizza), but give me a Christmas cookie and it's all over. YUM. Man I want to make cookies now....

Peej, it's schlumpfy. It's a good word.....embrace it.

Hmm......my favorite Christmas food is fudge. Milk chocolate fudge. Or chocolate peppermint. Or Mayan chocolate. Or butterscotch. Yep...fudge. :cloud9:

Marita...festive tp???? Who knew?? :confused3

DTD...yay on an extra night at Disney. Always a goog thing. I actually did the same thing. To fly back on Sunday was $99 but to fly back on Monday was $59. Plus I already have a free room Sunday night and, let's face it, mom will pay for my food. I am now taking a "personal day" on that Monday. :rolleyes1

1. This is blowing my mind. Where did CBM find this person? I didn't know there were really adults who found it acceptable to wear the same outfit day after day and not shower.

2. Well would ya look at that....L is agreeing with ROB. There must be something in the air. Tis the season and all that crap.

3. Consider it embraced. Can I get the official definition, please?

4. Send fudge my way posthaste. You know you want to.

Thanks, Marita! Now let Moo post the pics! Pretty please? :flower3:

NO!

Is this an invitation to another posting frenzy?

I'll have to think about this one, though... I dont know that I have one, Christmas mostly means stress to me. It used to be treats that my mom sent me from Germany (in a brown paper package, wrapped up with string, literally). The kids and I went nuts over it. But those days are long gone.

Anywhoo:

But I have a great New Years Day recipe to share once we get there. NOT for the dieting crowd, though!

My flavorite Christmas food is: carrot sticks in hummus (not!) OR Buche Noel (Christmas log)
buchedenoel.jpg

Allie- See ya at the SUGAR~BOWL, sugar! (This is as sporty as you'll ever see me!!!)

Pumba- OMGosh!!!! :rotfl2:

Marita- that is SO cool!

Lynt- Thanks...now I want (NEED) chocolate. Gross on the unabomber. :scared:

PJ-dd's teacher nicely requested "no cupcakes". I like your style: Sugar 'em up and send 'em home!

RIBKC
- crusty...FUNNY!! (I don't get it)

Mrs. The King- HI!!!!

Celery! I pegged you as a Santa Baby kind-a gal :confused3

MommyPoppins-I'll share my snow with you!

It takes one to know one! pirate: We have photographic evidence, Wendy Lou!

1. I didn't realize that such people existed either. I wish I was still blissfully ignorant of that notion. Beurk!

2. A true Christmas miracle! :rotfl:

3. Schlumpfy: unkempt, sloppy, slovenly

4. Got a flavor preference?

BbN- you "took" MY song!
and...

Gotta watch me. Ya never know what a bbn might do.

I had to turn on the AC.

I think I despise you Miss Smartypants. ;)

BUT FOR THIS GRAMMA ....I hate this song.......we stayed at All Star Movies one Christmas a few years back and they played this song over and over again.....and a few other not so overly religious songs.....

Oh Pumba, I can see why a gramma might not like it. lol

Oh Rob(bie) you are sooooo funny. not

I had no idea! I always sang it happy in my head, thinking he came back. See what printing the lyrics does to you?

oh no. QUICK. Go back to your happy place. He comes back. Consider it a Christmas miracle.

1. I propose we do this:

to all my posts.

2. Okay. Now you have to post your favorite Christmas food.....

1. Sounds like a great idea to me.

2. Look, I played along with your favorite song thing, but Ive just about had it with you dictating what we are going to post about it. I dont play by yer stinkin' rules

Bbn, Deano's version IS the best, but is done so well in Elf it's surprising.

Oh yes. So true! Absofrigginlutely. You're a genius.

And that log you posted looks yummy![/B]

oh forget it. i'm going to bed before i say something stupid.

1. I thought every side of yours was your good side. ;)

2. You know it to be true. Look at all those losses piling up this season.

1. After much consideration, I'm going to have to agree with you.

2. whoa whoa whoa. They have won the last SIX games, and hopefully that will continue.

3. You got your own post. Consider yourself lucky doofus.

Somebody give the nurse the keys to the Waaaaaaaaambulance!

Marita...festive tp???? Who knew?? :confused3

I know, PeeJ,I sure didnt! I suspect my DD did it, but I cant rule out DH.... He is weird that way. He goes all Santa this time of year.

WOW, somehow I missed a whole posting frenzy!

And somebody threw out my leftover box with the remaining half stick of pretzel bread from Le Cellier today!:headache:

Rob(in), funny cartoon!

My favorite Christmas food is my maternal grandmother's sloppy joes (hey, you have your Christmas traditions and we have ours).

ITA! In fact, it's the only version of that song that counts, if you ask me. ::yes::
I KNEW you had good taste (even if you hang out with that BBN).

1. After much consideration, I'm going to have to agree with you.

2. whoa whoa whoa. They have won the last SIX games, and hopefully that will continue.

3. You got your own post. Consider yourself lucky doofus.
1. This would be a good policy for you to use in general as you travel through life.

3. I always consider myself lucky when I have the great fortune of interacting with a person as sweet as you.

Rob(in), funny cartoon!
Thanks Marita! I'm glad somebody else on this thread enjoys a good comic strip. The strip is called Pickles (can be found on Comics.com) and I just discovered it this afternoon (one of the very few highlights of my day today).

ok~~~here's what i thought about utahm's personal history.....

...she's gves life a lickin..instead of the other way around..and
....she makes everyone happy doing it. truly, a real~ bonus baby,

:yay:

animal pictures, eh?...well waht do you expect? animals are funny
creatures, by nature!

[ now if we can just figure out her favorite favor, :confused3

tuti~fruity? ].

why learn real reality? best response i kno? jus look how others live
around you.

then there's all the vantages....:rolleyes1 . take dancing? have you really
thought..about all the levers & options ...that you body can actually..
egads, ..actu~a~tor..preforms? i've seen..dancing..with the stars..ha!
...enter with an open mind...& they haven't seen anything yet! [ soetimes,
i like practicing...my old "freddie~a." days...here's a simple truth..jus, begin
with the motions..your finger van do.., & add ..to any basic dance,
will juice it up, like { old, } spice...to your family recipes.

utahm?..iam..more a "reflector"..than a thinker, and a detailer....
a lazy student , for sure..becos...all my teachers..expected very lil'
from me. sometimes..i 've look back...@ life by measurments of
10 years...., 0-10, 10-20,...then the ground work shaping my
views, come into focus. lil'things..can open so many...:cool2:
ways of thinking. why reject "labeling", by me?....becos...every-
where i went..they were all negative, junk that! ...& seeing all
the realities....that were being covered up.

take away....the ego & image projections, makes it so much easier
to enjoy..all the goodies..in life. you won't ever required "permission"....
..to really do the things...you want to do, and sharing such things-
interests..of those you spend time with. ta-da, it then comes back
on you...in many happy experiences.

for us?..it was a sad decision..when we decided to throw the towel
in..with "2". we had 2 boys. so where we're @, had a differnt meaning
for my wife...no girl...no mother -daughter moments. soo she started
a barbie colecting...trend...that our daughter now, benfited from.

but, it's what we shared...during those years...that now, have alot
of..special memories...becos, i had no ego, controlling /blocking me
from pparticipating...in her interests. art?..is the way..we decorate
the world. and what that implies..., are the things we learn to
appricate. .....is there's any greater comfort measure? having
others..demonstrate...how they care for you?

sex..can't we get the simple things right..especially, since they govern
...our hapiness?..sex, is a behavior..but like ..life, & living,....there's
sex..& then there's sexuality...[the things we feel about ...

why, so many...are so off track...explain....why, we're sooo busy?

see? that's what..i think..backie's blue bird..is missing..."self expression"
for desires? :lmao:

yep ,silly old bear, me. :wizard: ..but then again..what do i kno?

"rocky ~road scholar. :hippie:

I think I despise you Miss Smartypants. ;)

As much as you may think you hate the cold, ice and snow. You would want it at THIS time of year. Everything Christmas is cold and it really stinks when it's 85+ and humid on Christmas like it has been for every Christmas in my entire life. You should NOT be sweating on Christmas and huddled around the AC vents to stay cool. ;)

We're going to Chad's Dads house for Christmas this year..so hopefully it will be cold. lol. Augusta, Ga will have the warmest Christmas in history!

:headache:

My favorite Christmas food? I love all food...and I'm really not a big cookie fan. I think it would have to be the roast beef.

For LexMelinda (who says I never say WHAT I'm doing): Today I am taking DS16 to school early so he can go to Fellowship of Christian Athletes (since he does not yet have (1) a car of his own and (2) a parking sticker for the highly coveted student parking spots at the school) and then (and here's the really big news) late this morning and into the afternoon we are having our Department Christmas Party for work -- food (not sure what type), bowling, and karaoke for all!
