Nab, neigbors around me still have lights on their houses, and they have no snow excuse, so don't sweat it!

Well, not surprisingly, trip to Earl on the boat didnt happen again today, oh well!

Wendy, I feel for you hating your job, I've had those before, no fun at all:hug:

Big announcement from DIsney today at an Investor Conference on new technology coming to a park near you, like flying to Disney with room key in hand and making ressies for rides from home:

Sorry you didn't make it to EOS again, Marita! Hope you get your day off. I am taking a vacation day tomorrow. w00t! And we have Monday off for Presidents Day. I'm going "up north" with friends for a couple nights. SO excited!

Tonight I met some of my old Camp Fire girlfriends for dinner and then we went to my friend's daughter's basketball game. They are having a great season and won their game tonight. It was their "pink out" game in honor of breast cancer awareness. Lots of raffle drawings and freebies. I got a pink rose, but I gave it to my friennd to give to her DD since I won't be home this weekend. Wine tasting. Yay!!!

Nabbie - Beautiful day here today! Hopefully more warm weather is heading your way. We didn't put any outside Christmas lights up this year, so no tear down.

Wendy - Sorry to hear your job isn't going so great :grouphug: I knbow it's hard going back after being off for medical stuff. Hopefully it's just a small bump in the road. If not, hope you're able to find something better!!! In the meantime, have fun with your trip planning. I'm hoping to be able to get back to DL in the next few years. Maybe when I go again the castle won't be wrapped in a big blue tarp

Moo, YAY for 4 days off!

I just put in for Monday off, it's a Holiday anyway. Director scheduduled a Town Hall for Monday, I'll just have to miss it :rolleyes1 Why does he schedule a meeting for a holiday anyway??? My guess is the secretary did it and didnt realize it.

Ya'll be sure to read the links I posted above, big doings for your future visits.

Marita-- read your links. That would be a lot of extra planning. Heck I don't even know where we are heading most times in the park. We really are not a comando type family. What if you planned a time for a ride and you were sick that day , or tired and weren't even in the park at that time. It is bad enough we usually plan what park by what resturant we eat in.

Moo-- sounds like your going to have a great weekend. Hope the weather holds up for us too.

Sun is not shiing but they are calling for double digits today....

Hubby just took my car in becasuse the engine light came on hope it is nothing. Some people are telling me it could be my gas cap needs tighting. :confused3

morning

Our engine light on our older truck has been on since it was two months old....it is a chevy truck and they said all of them do this....We had it looked at under warranty then and it is still there.....the cap was also replaced......We just go with the "dumptruck"....we call it that....our new truck is our go around and visit and longer trips.....very comfortable...

Sun is almost out and I have a hair appt at eleven thirty.....it is WARM out too....I could wear a spring jacket and be happy.....BUT ...cold is coming in for tomorrow and then FREEZING for Sunday.....oh well....snow up to two to four inches for Monday.....we did get a few with no snow fall.......I guess we should be happy...

Marita...hope you get a chance to go the river route and get to EOS....I love that place and we are anxious to go back....we always visit it a few times during our visits...

Hope you all have a great day....see you later gators

Wendy-- what is your job? I remember you going to school but can't remember what for sorry. Health insurance is good to have, well I guess a job is good to have too especially if you are going to Disneyland. I can understand not wanted to go to a job you hate though.

It is nice outside....I took the Christmas lights off the front tree. The cord was frozen and under a lot of snow but today I could pull it out. Now to get hubby to take the ones off the house. I tried to put them down but it didn't work and I was not getting up on the ladder to take them down.

Report cards come home tomorrow....

And it is a long weekend too! We have Family Day on Monday. Everything is closed up.
Labor and Delivery dept. registration. The job is a great entry level position but it's not hands-on patient care...just sitting at a computer. :surfweb:

I totally make fun of people who keep there xmas lights up too long! LOL! (Hard with the weather being soooo freezy though)

Yayyy for family day!

Thanks. It's so hard to feel tip top after tummy (bladder) surgery. SOOOO tired.
My bosses NEVER smile (even before me, LOL) and are determined to be miserable women and inflict said misery on all under them.

Well I'm glad I made hubby take the Christmas lights down yesterday, it is freezing today. And a wicked wind to go with it. It blow the bbq cover right off overnight and it was up against the fence this morning.

Wendy -- I would suck if you worked with people who don't smile. They must not like there job either.

Just doing the normal stuff today, wash, clean , cook. all that fun stuff.

Wish we were going to my mom's today because they are calling for snow toworrow and I hate driving in bad weather. Hope we don't have to cancel and not go.

Everyone must be busy doing day to day stuff today too...so quiet here.

Nabbie - It sure got cold here too! Low 20s ...brrr. And the wind was wicked yesterday.

Had lots of fun wine tasting today!

oh wow......my post is GONE..

recap....kt and her beau came to town to figure out her taxes and financial aid stuff....she is claiming herself this year for the first time so wanted to do it right ...so they came here after for supper and we had mac and cheese and salad and then brownies for dessert with whipping cream on top...

I have a headache probably from the chocolate brownie...go figure...

hope you have a good night everyone

Nab, yay for getting the lights down!

Moo, glad you had a nice outing.

Well friends, I am a total MORON!! My self cleaning oven hasnt been working, I'd push the button, 3 green bars came on for about 3 seconds, then went out, NO cleaning.
Then I tried to broil. Same thing, push broil, 3 green bars for 3 seconds, then nothing!
So the repairman came today to fix it. He pushed the button, then hit the UP arrow, and low and behold, it WORKS!!
There was nothing wrong with the oven, operator errors!! Im so stupid, its not that I never had cleaned the oven or broiled before, I just plain forgot! Expensive $89 service call for nothing :headache:

I spent the day playing Eggz all day, which is an arcade game on AARP.org. Very addictive. Also went shopping for some meals to make, including the Le Cellier risotto again since I still have the rice left from last time, but Man, is that expensive, with the beef stock, heavy cream, 1 1/2 cups parmesan, 1 lb mushrooms, etc.
Also bought some bell peppers to make stuffed peppers with. They overcharged me by about $1.20 vs. advertised price, which I didnt notice till I got home. Not enought to make me drive back, but GRRRRRRR!
DS called tonight and was complaining that is was Minus 238 degrees in Montana. Told me to bring a snowsuit in June, LOL. Glad I have another 2 days off, whew! First time in ages I havent even looked at the work site today.

HELP!!! I've turned into an EGGZ addict!

Got nothing done today except for making stuffed peppers for dinner.

Good thing I have tomorro off to get some work done.

Snow, snow, go away!

Made it back safely from my weekend trip and came home to a winter storm. Several inches of the yucky white stuff is on the ground since early this afternoon. Boo!!!!! At least I only had to drive about a half hour in the snow. Glad I headed back when I did. We had lots of fun wine tasting yesterday and visited a couple places on Friday as well.

My friend who I went with is an excellent cook so we had some fabulous meals. I got to play sous chef and did a lot of chopping and grating :) We had Thai peanut chicken one night with broccoli and cranberry rice salads and Bulgogi with kimchi marinated veggies the next night. Yum!

morning everyone......well now its afternoon....geesh..:confused3

Hubby is home for his day off and Ava is here too cause the doctors office doesnt have off where her mama works.......

we had snow last night or this morning....but I didnt have to go out.....hubby put the trash out and the recycle bin.....I love it when he does this.....YES YES YES...

Ava is snoozing as is the Megara doggie......hahaha...Hubby is working on the second floor apt to try to finish up the living room before he starts to tackle the big room....KITCHEN.....need to pull the porcelain sink out and side boards which are porcelain too....rebuild the cupboard where the washing machine was and put in the tile floor.......then and only then will it be a done deal.....hehe...
I am wearing these white sneakers that I bought last year before our disney trip that I didnt wear cause they were TOOOOOOOOO WHITE....if I wear then now maybe they will tone down the whiteness of them.....or else I will jsut wear my old greyish pair to disney and bring my LL BEAN sandals......they are wicked comfortable ....OR maybe I will wear my crocs in disney too.....I just dont know yet.....

Hope you all have a great day

I have a trip coming up very soon and I don't feel like I'm prepared. I'm kinda stressed. :(

There's family stuff going on with my brother - he's been diagnosed schizophrenic and has become very violent. If you see odd posts on facebook about jail or the courts, that's why.

I'm also heading up a huge project at work to teach people how to eat less sodium.

Blah.
I really didn't come over here to complain.
Mainly just to see my ticker. :)

Wendy - I'm sorry you don't like your job. I figured registering people for babies would be a cool job for you. Sorry the biddies are a pain.

Pumba - forget the snow! Just move to Florida! ;)

Moo - is the castle really covered in a blue tarp now? :scared1: Didn't they know I was coming back after over a year!

Marita, nab, babynurse et al hi!:yay:

Cel - So sorry to hear about your brother's troubles :grouphug:

But yay for your trip that's coming right up! Not to worry . . . it was the DisneyLAND castle that was covered with the blue tarp when I went a few years ago. I'm hoping to get back there in the next few years to see it in its full glory!!!

I have a friend who eats a low sodium diet. I personally don't think she gets enough sodium in her diet and that that's the cause of some of her health issues, but I know sodium can be problematic for people who are having kidney and other medical issues.

Pumba - Hope your hubby made some good progress today.

I was basically a slug today. Just did some reading, a bit of cooking (Thai peanut sauced pork chops - YUM!), and played on my computer. Very relaxing. It was nice not having to get out and about in the snow today. I'm not looking forward to having to go to work tomorrow :(

my daddy back 40 plus years had a heart attack and he had to have no salt, no fats and no FOOD...hahaha.....well we all basically had almost the same type of foods......so when I got married 44 years ago...I didnt salt anything and I am sure to my husband thought it was blahhhhhh....BUT I use other herbs and spices instead....My hubby now instead of salt uses a potassium base no salt...which his doctor approved of....some salt sub's are not good for people...so always check....BUT anyways......I do not cook with salt...havent forever......because most foods that people buy have high sodium content ...I do love bay leaves and garlic and parsley and other good stuff......YUMMY today making chicken caccitore with meatballs and sausages for our neighbors next door......he is the almost 40 (Sunday) and he didnt want a party...he told his wife.....if people are in his house next week he will leave......I do believe he meant it...hahahha..
Cel...on another note.......I hope and pray that your db has some good results of him being taken care of ....sometimes going down is the only way to get back up......hugs to you all..

sun is out and it is STINKING COLD...

It is sunny and freezing here too Pumba.

We had a great weekend with my Mom. Celebrated my hubby birthday too, went out to dinner , had cake plus let him open his presents last night. He was gone already this morning and won't be back until 8 tonight.

I have to bake him a big chocolate chip cookie for his birthday today and have to make something for potluck tonight for Hannah's Guides. I looked this morning and thought I could bake something to take but it has desserts crossed out. Meatballs it is I guess but have to run to the store now.

We do not cook with salt either. Like Pumba said enough in the food we buy to have to add any. Think the only think I shake salt in is water to cook pasta.

Better get a move on we leave for school in 5 mintues and Nicholas is still in the shower. His hair is going to be frozen walking to school.

Helloooooooo!
(is this thing on?) Hello? HelllllO?;)

It is sunny and cold here too. We are not buying or selling a house. We are not planning a trip. I haven't made it to Earl of Sandwich lately either. :lmao:

I am feeling kind of blue for no good reason so I came here for laughter (the best medicine ya know).

Windy and Cel- happy trip planning! Magical times taking a 4 year old for the first time. Or Celery any time. ;)

Cel- Sorry about your brother.

Pumba- Best wishes with house hunting. I have been house shopping vicariously. I am trying to get my parents to moove out here.

Moo and Marita- :wizard: Happy February.

NAB- My son's birthday is this week too. He asked for cheesecake instead of cake.

I am trying to justify sending the littlest two to Lazy Mother Academy (as my DH calls it AKA Kids Day out) for next year. I have realized that I really miss teaching but I just don't see how it will fit with my current season of life. Plus they are trying to cut back on adjuncts so I am not certain they even want me. Other news (and probably the reason I am so blah is that my daughter is having minor surgery tomorrow to prep for her big surgery later (just LIKE DISNEY.... ya know, the line to get in line, the show before the show- HA)

So- I should be around tomorrow afternoon nursing a loopy daughter. Bring on the dreck and drivel!!!!

Hi-ho, ladies and germs! Long time no post.

Cel, sorry about your brother's troubles. I'll keep him in my prayers. But YAY for your upcoming trip! How long will you be there? Got any good ADRs? popcorn::

Marita, glad your walk-thru w/Director went okayish. How are you and this Khaki person getting along?

Moo, sounds like you had a fun getaway weekend, with a bonus bum-laying day at the end of it. Excellent!

Pumba, NAB, Wendy, Twink, BBN: !!! Sup?

nonNews from the Lalijack household: I am not buying or selling any property, planning a trip, or accompanying Directors on resort walk-throughs. I do not have a job I hate (or any job, for that matter), or an addiction to Eggz. What I DO have is a yard full of giant ugly piles of frozen, dirty snow PLUS 2 kids who are on February school break with no place to play outside. Urgh.

Natasha has her BFF sleeping over tonight. Of course, that means I'm in for a loooong night of giggles and nail polish.

Also, Boris was chosen to be on our local in-town television station playing Can-Can on his viola for a "Music in Our Schools" program. We are going tomorrow afternoon for the taping.....he's quite excited!

I think that's everything. (Exciting, no?)

Gotta get back to watching GLEE! See ya!

twinks - hugs and prayers for you and the twinkie!

lalijack - woo hoo on Boris's viola skills!

marita - so you don't care about seeing me unless I have a le cellier reservation? :rotfl2:

I do have some exciting ADRs! Artist Point, Kouzzina and Flying Fish! I've never never been to any of them.
I also have a Boma ressie cuz it's my favorite!

We might do Cali grill, but it depends if we can get in or not and which day we decide on.

I'll be in Tampa next Friday night then Saturday the 5th to Sunday the 13th in the World area.
Three nights at the Homewood suites across from Universal and 5 nights at Bonnet Creek.
