Nabbie, yikes about Nicholas. Scary stuff for sure.

Still not sure if we go on a cruise or not. I was thinking today, what about if we go on a Disney vacation with free dining? :rotfl: Dont think that will happen, at least as much for 3 as for a 4 day cruise and i dont think hubby and Chris would be too enthused about it (me neither, to tell the truth). Alternatively, I thought about going to dinner for our 40th anniversary at V&, but I hate blowing $400 on 3 hours. So everying is up in the air still.

I checked on nicotine gum at the Disney pharmacy. $15 less for a 100 unit pack! $37 at Disney vs. $52 at drug stores. I'll take it!!

I'm taking Friday off so I wont lose a vacation day again, im 8 hours away from stopping to accrue vaction. That happened to me once, not again! Just hope its not too late already

morning everyone..
I hope that Nick and hubby are fine today and that he has no lasting problems...A boy down the street is still on leave from Football because of a concussion....
Marita....how about a different vacation.....Maybe go on a trip to one of the islands and sit there for a while...free food and booze, and all the sun you can inhale......oh yah you already have the sun part.......I hope you get to go someplace and relax...

Today will be warm in Maine......so I will change my slacks for shorts when the temp rises from the 54 it is now at....it is nice to sleep when your nose is cold.....I love that part....

We had a huge storm roll in overnight. Hannah jumped in our bed about 2:30 then the power went out. Almost slept in this morning. Good thing my internal clock works , I was only out by 10 minutes. We have power this morning but some areas were that lucky. Sun is trying to come out now.

Nicholas is still home. Head still hurts and not feeling well so we are keeping him home for the rest of the week. He actuall was suppose to go on a field trip tomorrow so he won't be missing much school work and they are off on Friday for a P.D day. The grade 8 are going to clean the shore line and creek areas's in town , so he isn't missing out on anything really fun.

Off to watch all my recorded shows from last night. Trying to check out the new ones on this fall. Funny how fast you can do a half hour sitcom when you fast foward though commercials. Watched the Event the other night. I am totally lost on that one but might give it another try next week.

Didn't sleep well last night.

Got up and ready for the day, even woke up Hannah only to find out I was an hour early. The power went out the other night and I set my alarm clock wrong. :headache: Sent Hannah back to bed.... She said she wondered why it was still dark. I did too but I just thought we were in for a rainy day.

we woke up at three am and I had a hard time going back to sleep....stinking dog has been flapping her ears.....I need to get some meds into those. she has the flop ear syndrome so she gets like a yeast infection in them every so often.....but she wont let me near her with the bottle of cleansing stuff with antibiotics in it.....so will try the ointment one..

I am so tired and I would like to go back to bed for a bit.....but ava is on her way..
Hope that Nich feels better today....how long does the headache last????

Nab, Hope Nicholas is feeling better!

Pumba, I was tired this morning too, i was late to work by an hour :scared1:

I have tomorrow off, otherwise I will not accrue any more vaction time, so im not about to let that happen. I almost called in sick today since i was so dead this morning, but i thought that wouldnt look so good since I have tomorrow off.

Anyway, tomorrow I need to get a present for knitfreaks baby shower, get my new router set up (wish me luck that I get an Indian I can understand), get some tax stuff straightend out, clean house, get nails done. There goes my vaction day!

Oh, Chris booked our cruise today, so I am officially booked for a 4 night cruise to nowhere (well, a private island). Guess I need a ticker  Oh, and DD is going to Europe with a girlfriend (France, Germany and Prague) and wants to check out more nightlife this time, so I need to get them some defense items to carry with them. BFF found a cool website for stuff.

Let the weekend begin!

better post while i still can, not that there's anything wrong with
that,

first things, furst....do i know anyone here,?

you're insight backie, probably right. i am afraid dvc will never be the same
with me. [ they probably wished they double our money back..he,he! ]

making it work. well we did our firs adventure & it turned out pretty good.

...few gitches, here or there. [ our home was nearly hit with severe
t-storms,high winds on the news!

on the cruise we got upgraded! from 11-7. [ actually we'hv been lucky in
this area . ] can't tell anyone on the dvc /cruise site, they kill us!
how do i know? wouldn't you know it---we also won 2 ducky williams
drawing- "2" princess:, snow white & the new one. [ we got several now.]
well the cast member how to "scold" the audience because some were
very angered we won. well, they let 2 lil'girls do the drawings....i told you
how kids like me?....i just knew we was going to win. an you imagine
if they knew we were upgraded..on a sold out cruise? :rolleyes1

went to the hollweenie party...boy! did i scared the old hag. ok, not
that old hag,

So our church has an annual chilli supper and Reformation day celebration at the of October. The kids from church dress up a little and have a Reformation Day Fair...anyway.

I found Ellie's "costume". No way I would pay that much money for something that easy to make. So I order my tulle and I cannot WAIT for it to arrive. Is she not going to be the flippin' cutest thing EVER!? http://www.etsy.com/listing/56381661/my-lil-pumpkin-tutu-dress-sale-this-week

Going out with Chad tonight. Yay! We have to make my last trip to the peircer's. I had issue with my nose healing, but it's all good now so I need to get the jewlery cute down to fit snugger. After that we will go get some dinner. We are thinking about trying out BluSushi. I can't wait to get dressed and prettied up and go out without kids!!!!!!!!!! I haven't left my house in over a week. UGH!

One dog down, 2 to go. This one wasn't collared at all and showed aggression to us(in our yard). No idea where they belong, as there are only a few houses on each block around here. I know they don't belong in the immediate vicinity. But at night you can hear massive amounts of barking in the distance. That didn't used to be there, so I assume it's someone new. I'm sure everyone who lives close to them is so happy they moved in with free roaming big dogs that bark all night. lol.

MommyP: She will be so cute. Be sure and post some pics.

Twink: One, good, comma, deserves, another.

Nab: Injuries can be so scary. Sounds like he is doing ok though!

Moo: Keep up the goog work. It's amazing how far you've come.

LilG: Where ya been hiding? On a cruise ship?

Marita: Whatcha gonna do with your day off?

Pumba: I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep the other night too. Then on FB the next morning I saw a lot of my friends suffered the same malady. I wonder if something was in the air. Weird.

Football here all weekend. And some babynursing. And hopefully some delicious pizza in LooUhVull. Have a nice weekend.

Babynurse- The weather is BEEYOUTIFULLE here. Homecoming football game tonight. I couldn't sleep the other night either. Actually any night this week. Strange.

MommyP- She will be the cutest pumpkin around. My mom made tutus for my twins when they were little by copying someting off of ebay. The were true tutus and super thick and she did different shades of the same color (one pink, one green, one blue)....so cute and easy to make. I am kind of sort of making a Snow White Costume and maybe a hairbow or several. Little Miss No Naps is keeping me from achieving my full crafty potential. ;) I am seriously jealous of your date night.

Marita- Any jobs open near you? I have stealthily obtained my sister's resume. It would be in MY best interest for her to have some perks I am interested in ;)

NAB- I dvr'd the event but haven't watched it yet. I still haven't finished Flash Forward. Did anyone watch that?

I promised the kids fudge covered brownies this week so my kitchen smells soooo good. I am trying to lose a few more lbs before my big disney trip

MommyP...did you get your nose pierced....did I miss something here.....My granddaughter did but when she knew she was going to be interviewed for pharmacy college she took it out and now it is healed up...she did have an issue with the scab on the inside.....YUCK....ROFl.....I thought she was picking her nose but it was the way it felts she said...it was very dainty and pretty...

Today got a call taht hubbies aunt passed away and he is leaving tomorrow AM for the moose trip with our son and my hubbies brother...so they are planning the funeral for Wednesday so that if a moose has been gotten they can get it and come back in time for the funeral.....not going to be a long thing as my hubbies cousin is very very upset.....she and her husband were Aunts caretaker for the last three years.....and one year in the nursing home.
so I told hubbie that I would represent the family and so will our daughter and dil.....and I will make sure that all is well if they cant make it back in time....

SOooo we bring our new truck in for a small problem on the side door and they give us a stinking rotten park avenue buick that has seen better days.....we still havent figured out the AC thing......all we had was HEAT....this is one issue with this dealership......whenever we have had problems with new vehicles...even minor ones they give us a loaner and they all stink or are ready for the junk yard.....he aims to tell someone higher up.

Twinkie, you'll have to check the Disney site for jobs. I'm sure some part time jobs are always available, other than that, good luck! Trust me, I am of no help to you with that, but Google will hook you up.

I'm in a rotten mood. Bah Humbug!

Its okey Marita...we all have those days......I did a few days ago and I called the cable/internet/phone provider and gave them a piece of my mind when he kept on saying he would send someone to check my lines....and I said...WHAT part didnt you hear....it was the whole NEIGHBORHOOD WITHOUT it.....hubby said are you having fun.......Then I emailed a product that I used and said....where is the chicken flavor.....did someone forget it.....hahaha....one of those days I can tell you that.......

It must be in the air....that is why I really haven't been on either.

To much going on all at once here, stressing me out. And I feel like I am not getting anything done around here.

Hubby went back to work today, Nicholas seems fine now. So that is a start.

Now I have to go do my least favourite thing and do the back gardens and get them ready for the winter. I could never be a garder for a living and I do not find it relaxing either like some people do.

Marita-- saw you booked a cruise , :woohoo: I'm sure Nov can't come fast enough. What cruise line are you on? The other cruiselines can be lots of fun too.

Mommy P-- Love that outfit, so cute. I should have learned how to sew. Only took basic in Home ec. in grade 7&8 . Hannah wants to be tinkerbell this year but she almost has to move to the adult costumes here and that is way to much money.

Lil'g-- you were on your cruise already? I thought you were going in Dec.?

OH MY! My DS also has his first date to homecoming and he is wearing the uniform described above. His date's dress is black so he all set for weddings, funerals, or joining the mafia ;)

Good luck to your DS and his homecoming! Our outfit has been changed due to her dress. She got a navy blue dress. Well, a navy blue tie would NOT look good with a black shirt/pants combo. So we are now in the market for navy pants, white shirt and navy/silver striped tie. Our Homecoming game is next Friday and the dance is Saturday.

MommyP - Ellie is gonna be the cutest one there!! :cutie:

Marita - Hope your day improves. Congrats on the cruise!

LilG - congrats on your good fortune!

NAB - Hope Nicholas feels better soon. My DS got a concussion when he was in third grade while ice skating before his hockey lesson. He always wore a helmet for practice, but not for the public skate. :headache:

I slept in today! It has been raining all morning and I love sleeping on rainy days. I have been going to bed WAY too late and have to get up WAY too early for my job. I think I have survived the first two months ok, but I think it is catching up with me. I am a night owl, so going to bed early for me is a chore!!

BBNsportslovingfreakfriend - Enjoy Football Saturday! ROLL TIDE!!!!

I have decided ...I hate gardening. Was out there 5 hours and still not done. The catched me in. Wish it would have 3 hours before. It is much easier making a garden then taking one out. There are 12 year old roots there. My hands are hurting...

Good thing I don't have to cook tonight. Nicholas has his second Baseball Banquet tonight at a pizza place. Families are invited. This is for his select team.

Allie-- hope your son has fun at homecoming. Yup black and navy don't go. I am trying to find Hannah something to wear for our Christmas picture this year. Then we go from there. I have a month to get everyones look together.

Whew! Our Roll Tide almost became Pig Soup! :rotfl2:

Well, all homecoming attire has been purchased!:faint: He was a very good participant, and it did go fairly quickly. 1st pair of pants tried on fit, and looked good! :thumbsup2 Thought that was going to be our hardest purchase since he is shaped like a light pole. :rotfl2: Went to store number 2 and found a shirt and tie(found out at the register that the tie was 50% off and it was $5.00!!!! :thumbsup2). Found a tie at store #1, but it was $30 :scared1: for a TIE!!! We spent just a little more than that for the pants. Anyway, just couldn't justify that! Had to go to three stores before finding affordable black shoes. Man, who knew men's shoes were so expensive! :sad2: I don't shop much because I HATE it, and my children have acquired that trait too. :rolleyes1 i just hope the navy in his pants and tie match the navy in her dress. :goodvibes

Twinks - Hope your son has a good time tonight.

My long post just got swallowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

short version: hate shopping too, knitfreak shower gift still not gotten, nails still not done (emergency state), hate that DD is not going on the cruise, going to get her an airhorn for fighting off danger in European nightclubs.

Better head to bed.

Allie-- me, me I know how expensive boys dress clothes are, well more like men's dress clothes and shoes. And they don't get the wear out of them. Nicholas wanted me to get him a new suit , just got this one last year. For reasons I can't fathom he wants a white suit. :scared1:

Marita-- tickers are good!! That means something good is happening. An air horn will definitely get someones attention or scare someone off.

I don't mind shopping for others but not for myself. Nothing fits right or looks right. Did you know Christmas is 89 days away!
