Marita - Cool about new job = less stress!! Port Orleans is so pretty! Scary about knitfreak. I had high blood pressure with both kids, and it can be scary stuff. Hope they can get it under control, or, like everyone else said, they will have to take the baby.

Homecoming is tonight. :thumbsup2 Pics will be *over there* later. ;)

MommyP - That is so cute!!! You are one talented lady! Got any ideas on how to make a taco costume for our chihuahua? :rolleyes1 I told DD that I could NOT make three matching dog costumes this year, since I am working, and just don't have that much extra time. Plus, I am not good at walking all three of them at the same time. :rotfl: Some or all of us would end up in a heap on the ground. :headache:

Monica - I am amazed at what all my teacher has to do outside of just teaching the children. I am glad I am an aide. :goodvibes

NAB - I always try to put as much info as possible on my kids envelopes when I send money in to the school. I know from experience. :upsidedow You're a good mama for helping with that though. Our school raised over $52,000 in our school fundraiser. :cool1: It is almost 100% profit too. :cheer2: I was shocked!! They will be able to pay off the playground and do some other things around the school.

Oh, and I am an Amazing Race watcher, and was feeling for that girl too. OUCH!!!! I am surprised that the medical team didn't come in and at least check on her. :confused3 Glad she made it through. Was sad to see that team go home. The tattooed idiots have got to go. They got to the finish line by accident. :rotfl2:

morning..
yesterday and today is the Dempsey Challenge in Maine.......Patrick Dempsey has done this for the second year in a row and it is amazing..last year over a million dollars raised for the cancer unit and care for all...
My friends all had photos taken with him last night at a dinner at the hospital....

Yesterday had to get a freezer and it is now in my spare bedroom because it couldnt go down to the basement where the other upright is......we also have a chest freezer......so I am sitting here looking at it...hahaha...

today is our granddaughters White Coat Ceremony......we are going for another two hour drive and then back again........we are excited for our gd as she is too....she is loving this college and the classes .

I am pooped........hubby leaves either sat or sun for the next moose hunt.....hoep that his brother gets it on the first day.......cause I am not a good alone person..just me and the dog.

have a good day everyone and we will see you later gators

Pumba-- Are you saying you have three freezers now? So what happens if you husband gets another moose or are you only allowed one?

Alli-- saw the picture over there. Your son and date looked great together.

Marita-- Well going to POR make it easier on you work wise? I love this resort. It is the one we stayed at most.

It is cold out today....fall is here for sure. Still need to get out in the back again and get those gardens done. Only did half. To lazy today to do it though.

Allie, great pics of your son!

Nab, I am taking a step down at work. Port will be a lot easier and also no DVC. I cant wait to get rid of this constant knot in my stomach from stress. But also means less pay, so that will take some adjustment. Maybe I'll turn into coupon freak, But my other worry is I will be bored out of my mind.............

Howdy, all!

Marita - Maybe that's a good way to ease toward retirement? Hope the new job turns out well for you.

We have a sweetened retirement deal going on where I work and we will be losing a fair number of people. I'm eligible, but I really can't afford to retire yet. The monetary incentive is not as big for people who weren't previously eligible for retirement (like me). My boss is going to be retiring in mid-December. I've worked for him for a really long time. Things have finally settled down a bit at work. Just have one project to finish up over the next couple weeks.

Allie - I enjoyed seeing your handsome son's pictures over yonder! Good thing it's not as cold down there as it has been up here in Michigan. We don't have too many kids painting themselves up during football games unless we have a fluke warm night ;) It only got into the 50s today. I'm tired of the cold already. Wah!

Nabbie - My friend Debbie and I went out to a cider mill which was having a big festival today to listen to a band that she likes. She wanted me to ask you who you're rooting for on Amazing Race. The jury's still out for both of us on who we like on Biggest Loser. It's kind of hard to decide this early.

Pumba - That's one heck of a lot of moose meat. Yikes!!! :scared1: My hubby was just talking about possibly going deer hunting this year. It's been several years since he's gone.

MommyP - Loved seeing the little punkin' outfit. So cute!

Mony - Hope school goes well for you this semester :)

they will most likely share this bit of meat with a few families.....it is alot of meat.......the upright that was in the basement went capoot........we lost 20 or so lbs of chicken breasts...boneless skinless and made me cry but we didnt want to take a chance ...
so we have one chest freezer and the new upright.....we will have to go to the dump with the old one.....I like to buy turkeys when they are on sale...so two freezers will do it.
The next hunt will be bil's and he will share his catch with everyone too......
I love venison from the deer..as that is my favorite type of meat.....YUMMY..so deer season starts the last of october and thru November.

Marita., Our favorite moderate is French Quarter ...so maybe we will see you sometime in the future......

MommyP: What cute pics. I wouldn't know where to begin to make a Halloween costume. I think that gene skipped me. Along with the one for super high speedy metabolism, a firm grasp of Calculus, and the ability to comprehend why Lynette insists on caring for 103 cats.:confused3

I went to the gym this morning. I hate. every. single. moment. Where's that speedy metabolism gene when I need it????? Or maybe a genetic mutator at my rescue? Sheesh and you call yourselves imaginary friends.

MommyP: Tutu cute! You did a great job on your lil pumpkin.
Allie: I will have to go check for pictures over yonder.
Marita: It does seem like the new job will be a nice step down towards retirement. Is knitfreak's baby ok?
Moo: How are you? Have you been hineyhiding during meetings lately?
Pumba: I know what you mean about crying over freezers. I didn't but I wanted to the last time our freezer went kaput.
Babynurse: I have failed you as a genetic mutator and an imaginary friend. I am sorry. Maybe a peanut butter cup will help? oh wait that is how you ended up at the gym:yay:

Something witty.

You are right.

It did have to be done.

And I'm glad someONE did it.

Not to be confused with someTWO, cuz we all know that's crazy talk.

I have failed as an imaginary friend tutu. I did not shout out to the cool sports chick. Or the gal who hates DVC. or the one who created these green pastures. or the one who hunts and kills her own suppah. or the one who lives in that frozen tundra of a wasteland aka Canada. or anyone(two or three) elses.

Forgive me. Or not. I'm used to it.

twinkie...I spelt capoot wrong........thanks for the proper spelling........I actually thought for a moment...how does one spell that......hahaha.
Two freezers now.....One chest and one big upright...

Babynurse--not the frozen tundra get but darn cold today. Sweaters and coats needed today. Lots of Reese's candy to be had in stores now, it is evil. any Halloween candy is.:lmao:

Twinkie-- Nice hear from you , what are your kids going to be for Halloween? Did see the picture of the kids over there. Beautiful family you have.

Moo-- I love the son/father and the daughter/father teams. They are pretty funny. I thought for sure the team that went home last night would be them since they said something about karma and giving money to the people begging. I would not like to visit a city that make there own lanes...:lmao: Scary driving that is for sure.

Marita-- I slower pace for you sound wonderful. And it probalby pays more the a greeter at Walmart.

Twink - No hineyhiding posts lately :lmao: Too busy at work to actually post, but I do get on FB occasionally during break

Like Nab, I'd also love to know what all the kiddos are wearing for Halloween.

bbn - Do they have kettlebells at your gym? Trust me on this. It is a VERY powerfu (TM Twink) workout. If they have kettlebell classes, try one. They are super addictive. Cardio AND resistance training all in one. My kettlebell trainer is a great motivator. We even got to do some boxing stuff last Friday since he is now doing his classes at a martial arts place.

Nabbie - I'll let Debbie know who you're rooting for on Amazing Race. I think she told me that she likes the women doctors.

Moovers! The Mouse is toying with me! I got a PIN code email today..for dates thru the end of NEXT September! Whatever shall I do? :rolleyes1 Does anyone else think that it just makes plain old sense for me to plan an imaginary vacation using said PIN code? You know, just to see if maaaaayyyyybeee we could get a deal that would be unpass-uppable? Whaddya think? popcorn::

Now, of course Big Daddy will immediately put a big ol' kibosh on the idea of another trip, since this is technically a non-Disney year for us. Also: that's pretty much his M.O. He replies to every new idea with a firm, resounding "No", and then ever so s-l-o-w-l-y gives in.

Also (yeah, I know that's 2 also's in a row. Deal with it.) after a long and painful (for me) illness, my washer/dryer died on Saturday. Lucky for me, and probably directly related, I had spent the previous NINE hours doing ALL the laundry in the house. So now we are in the market for a new washer/dryer combo. Grrrr!

Upside: It bears repeating that I managed to get ALL the laundry in the house done. Yes, I know that it was a short-lived accomplishment, but I was dang proud! Especially because I also managed to re-do Boris' room, wash all the floors, hang some Fall decorations, and do some baking that same day. I guess the homemaking gods saw me getting a little smug and decided to smite me. I harumph them!

MommyP: I think that gene skipped me. Along with the one for super high speedy metabolism, a firm grasp of Calculus, and the ability to comprehend why Lynette insists on caring for 103 cats.:confused3

Oh Nursey, clearly you ARE confused! I don't even own ONE cat, you silly woman! If you remember correctly, the Yodeling Cat went to the Great Litterbox in the Sky just after the Lalijacks returned from WDW this summer. Duh. Try to keep up, sweeeeeeetie. :upsidedow

Go for it, Lynette!!! :goodvibes My hubby and DD don't like going as often as I do, but I'd go every year if I could.

Wish I could get back to the food and wine festival now that I've found that I can drink wine again! I think my up north wine touring weekend just got scuttled today because one of the women has a family member with health issues and she can't make it :sad1:

Last edited by babynurse1; Today at 12:26 PM. Reason: Twink: This is the most I have posted in 6 months. perhaps more. You are my muse, methinks.

I am your muse? Like I amuse you? Like a clown?

ARE YOU CALLING ME A CLOWN???

You had me at "post something witty" and of course you are, as always, the wind beneath my wings. Or somesuch nonsense.

It is nice to see a veritable posting frenzy over here. Or at least more than two posts in a 24 hour period.

YES, Lynette should plan a trip. And I think you will be very happy with your new washing machines. My mom's newish one is awesome.

Thank you Moo for remembering me via your powerful workout. I have been walking alot lately but I am preventing any weight loss by eating a ton. popcorn::  Even though you and Mommy Poppins are a huge encouragement by your very tiny-ness.

Just a few more days until the Twinkies et al return to WDW!!!!! I am so excited. Princess NoNaps is also Princess High Fever For No Good Reason (proabably teeth)... she has been miserable lately so I haven't had time to make hairbows and laminated agendas and whatnot.

Lynt: I remember the yodeling cat. But don't try to pretend you don't have 103 other cats hidden away in your basement. Don't try to pull the wool over this gal's eyes. Got it?

ALSO, please plan a trip next year. I am planning a trip next year. The dh says "whatever you think we can afford" *sigh* He knows the good lil banker in me will do just that, but I still plan to afford a trip. So there.

ALSO, I want to swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove. It is on my bucket list. Everyone please feel free to give to the imaginary "Help bbn swim with the dolphins" fund. Tia

ALSO, (that was a threepeat of also's so I beat you!) have fun with your new washer/dryer. It's amazing what makes Martha Stewart's heart skip a beat, ain't it?

Twinkie: If I was a carpenter, and you were a lady (*snort*), would you marry me anyway? Would you have my baby(nurse)? Uhhhh, wrong song?

You do amuse me, no clowning around. Get "IT"? Bwahahaha. I crack me up.

Nab: I am so over winter and it hasn't even started. I fear I shall be quite miserable until 80 degree weather returns. I should have jumped at the chance to move to New Mexico when we had the opportunity. *sigh*

Pumba: There was a time when incorrect spellun was not only overlooked, but downright encouraged. But times change. People change.

I can't lie; I don't sleep the same
one eye open because people change
when best friends turn to enemies then
Good times turn to memories

Did I just spontaneously break into song? Old habits Die Hard. (ask Bruce Willis)

Moo: I don't think we do have kettleball. But that made me think of kettlecorn, which is (to quote Dora the Explorer) "delicioso"! And that my friends, is why I head begrudgingly to the gym 3-4 days a week.

Babynurse -- we were in New Mexico in the summer, I will pass. That is the campsite the guy told us not to put your hand behind us while in the bathroom because you never know what is back there...snakes, bad spiders etc. Hubby didnt' even connect the trailer there for fear something would come out of the hole. They do have great weather though and do not change the time at all , stays the same all year long.

Twinkie-- Are you going to the Halloween party when there?

Lynette-- your hubby sounds like mine. He says he wants to go somewhere different and we always end up there.

twinkie...I spelt capoot wrong........thanks for the proper spelling........I actually thought for a moment...how does one spell that......hahaha.
:rotfl2:This is funny on a number of levels. Me? the spellunking? HA. Why are we thinking about how to spell caput/capoot/kaput? Why do freezers go kaput instead of die? or kick the bucket? Why does babynurse have a bucket list?
Twinkie-- Nice hear from you , what are your kids going to be for Halloween? Did see the picture of the kids over there. Beautiful family you have.
Thank you! I like them. We are going as Snow White and Seven Dorks. No kidding.

ALSO, please plan a trip next year. I am planning a trip next year. The dh says "whatever you think we can afford" *sigh* He knows the good lil banker in me will do just that, but I still plan to afford a trip. So there.

But he knows that you will plan to afford a trip and thus he has his cake and eats it to. Or has his trip and no money but it is your fault because you said you could afford it. Anyway, all y'all plan away for NEXT year because I am going THIS year. Copy cats. Posers and Losers. Or was that Losers and Slackers?

I just had a yard sell. To fund my own disney dreams of MNSSHP. We have met our goal plus 11ish dollars. And still have a garage full of junk. I could fedex the junk to YOU and you could sell at your garage sale. Or stable sale or whatever it is that cowpeople have.

Kumbahya? Maybe your BFF should write a musical next? Do you think he can handle IT?

First of all did you know my bff was in cahoots (kuhwho-ts?) with John(formerly cougar) Mellencamp to write a musical?

Idk what happened to that idea though. Perhaps it is still in the works? I must speak to my bff postehasteishly.

Twink, you crack me up too. Like an egg in a toddler's hand. Wtheck does that even mean??????

Can you have a stable sale in an earthquake? Get it? stable? shaky earth?

Mooooooving right along.

Idk if I like bucketnurse. Do you need to wucket in my bucket? Is that like a wocket in your pocket? How about a bunsen burner? Is that how you got your blue ribbon?

I "fell" quite certain that Twink's extra 11ish dollars will be going in my "Swim Happily Amongst Dolphins? Yahoo!" fund.
