Well, deader than dead around here

My excitement for the day: got pulled over for speeding (52 in a 35) on the way from the toll plaza to the hotel. Luckily I talked my way out of a ticket, citing my 20 years of no tickets and safe driver status, WHEW! A girl at work was clocked for the same speed got a ticket for $300 and 2 or 3 points on her license!

Oh, and I bought the entire Microsoft Office 2010 Professional editon through Disney for $9.95, w00t!!

WOW Marita....first good going that you didnt get a ticket and wow for 9.95.....

I remember seeing Capt Eo at Disney......wasnt impressed then and I am not impressed now that they brought it back....

We always go by the walkway Odyssey Bld....have bathrooms next door to it......SEe I told you my husband thinks I know each and every potty house up close and familiar.....hahaha

Today Ava and I walked to the store and back...she is a good walker and we didnt use the carriage either...she is doing excellent going to the potty....not one accident all week......even during her nap......but I said pull ups for one month and then we will think about her wearing the skivvies......

Marita! Thank goodness you didn't get a ticket!!! We have a speed trap (motorcycle cops patrol it) on my way into work. I'm always really careful when I go that way.

I came down with a cold yesterday. My first in over a year. Wahhh! I was off my vitamins for a week in order to have a colonoscopy on Tuesday, so I'm sure that's why my immunity was down Plus we had a mandatory division-wide meeting on Monday. Over 300 people in town from all over the state.

Pumba - Yay for having your Florida retreat fiasco behind you. Hope you find a better place in good time!

Nabbie - Gorgeous weather here this afternoon. Hope it's heading your way and that it hangs around here all weekend. We want to go to the Renaissance Festival on Sunday

Marita-- did you flirt with the officer..... I have never had a speeding ticket but I have been lucky. I have a heavy foot on the highway, never in town though.

Pumba-- how old is Ava now? Yeah for the potty training. I'm sure her mother loves you for helping out with that.

Hubby and I were out all day. It as nice. Hannah is away for the weekend with the neighbours at a trailer park. Hope they have a furnace because it is getting pretty cool out there right now.

Nicholas went to a meeting for the alter servers, Hannah should have been their too but they only told us about this meeting on Tuesday. Then one of the priests told me tonight she couldn't serve because she wasn't there , I called after I found out about the meeting and they said don't worry about it let her go to the trailer by the secretary and other priest. This really ticked me off since she has been serving every Sunday because others don't show up. She is going to be upset, I am upset.

Then Nicholas was suppose to be a server for a wedding on Saturday but had to cancel because they moved the wedding a half hour. They had to find someone else. Hated doing that. His baseball banquet was suppose to be Saturday afternoon. Just got an email from the coach saying see you on Sunday now....

Was suppose to babysit on the weekend for a friend she called last night saying she doesn't have anyone etc. So I said ok I will, knowing Hannah wouldn't be here to play with her, it is her best friend. Then tonight I find out no I don't have too. What next.....maybe I will stay in bed. Changed my weekend plans for her.

Nab, they will ask her I am sure when they have the shortage of alter servers. I am still a lost lamb..have no clue what church I want to go to ....and if it is a Catholic one or not.....I got really upset a year ago when they excumuicated a family in So. America because the little girl (10) was raped and got pg by her own father. The mom and rest of the family opted for an abortion ...thus you are kicked out of the church....just upset me so much.....I still feel extremely guilty for not going to church on Sunday but I know where my heart is....I still believe but just not going...

It was frost advisories here last night......probably more in the outskirts but not in the city.....But neighbor and I stayed out on the porch with winter coats on until 8:30.......told her we will bring our chairs out in a snow bank and wear our snow suits.....we will have a good time laughing I am sure.

Marita - Thank goodness you got out of that one! lol. Back when I got my nose pierced Chad and I got pulled over(he was driving, I've never been pulled over). We weren't 5 miles from home and he was speeding down a semi residential road at 45+ in a 35. We weren't even in our car. But the police officer was very gracious and just let us go. Chad mentioned that we were using my Dad's car because we drive a big van because of our six kids and we were on a rare date. The officer was pretty young, so I guess he felt sorry for us, since we too are pretty young. lol.

We hosted my brother's 18th birthday party today. I had a migraine, but it was still fun. A house full of 18-26 year olds.

Our chickens were attacked the other day in our yard by some stupid labs. So we are now on the prowl to kill some dogs. If they come into our yard or near it again, they will be dead. Thankfully poor little Frizzle survived and it seems she is going to be okay.

Wow! I didn't realize how far behind I was over here.

Been really busy with working. Now my new germ monsters are "sharing" again. I'm sick for the second time since school started. For the first illness, I started sneezing the second day of school. This time, it's nothing bad, just some, not much, congestion and I have pretty much lost my voice. Hope I heal up before Monday. I have never been a big believer in the flu shot, but I signed up for it on Friday. We get it for free through the school. My husband said that he thought I ought to get it since I am on my second illness, and school has only been in session for six weeks.

BBN - so sorry for your loss. Glad you got to walk with your friend. ROLL TIDE!!!

Marita - Sorry for your puppy loss, and glad that officer was kind to you. Great job on the still not smoking!

Mony - Glad school is going well

MommyP - so how is Jeremiah's head? Ok? Glad y'all had a great trip. Sorry the Labs are harassing your chickens.

Pumba - Good luck with the sale of the FL property. Yay for Ava's potty training!!

Moo - You look mahvelous!! Glad your Mari got to come home for a visit.

NAB - for bringing up boys!

Oh and my DS got a date for homecoming. This will be his first date ever! He asked us first if we would help pay some of the expenses before he asked her. Anyway, she is in his Peer Helping class, which is a class that helps integrate new kids into their 2200+ kids school. They have been creating designs for their class shirt, and were getting everyone to vote on them, so they can decide which one to make for real. Well, they (he and his friends, aka cohorts) made an additional shirt for the girl, and on the front it looked like a regular Peer Helping shirt, but on the back it said ***** (insert girls name here ) Homecoming? Signed, *My DS*. How cute is that? Well, she said yes, and now we have to buy him clothes, shoes, tickets, and meal money. It's ok, but boy!!! There is a big group of them going to Homecoming together, and all the boys are going to dress alike. Black shirts, pants, and shoes, and then ties that match their dates dresses.

I will try not to stay gone so long next time.

Hello Allie.
What a beautiful day today.......the sun is out and it is crisp....Last night neighbor and I sat out until nine thirty and froze my butt off.......I had on my winter jacket and also a blanket around me too.....we had fun laughing our heads off......

We got all our info from the sale of our place and we are now a done deal.....I dont have to worry about it anymore and hubby is stress free.......he and our son and hubbies brother are going on a moose hunt soon and he can relax and enjoy himself......Of course I will worry sick because the last moose hunt he and the rest went on ...my hubbies gun exploded and it was touch and go for a few days.....three hours away and two ambulance rides later he was home here but still had to be operated on and then in an induced coma for three days......it was scarey for us.....but I wont mention my fear until he comes home.....

Nice weather wise today, but I hear you on the cool at night. Good for sleeping.

Very busy with church, kids club and baseball. I just got home. Now I have to and get Hannah bathed up.

Allie--What a cute way to ask someone out. I am sure he is a true southern gentleman. Nicholas not so much. I told hubby he really doesn't want to date he wants to make out and that is why he goes though so many girls. They say no thank goodness. They tell me 13 is our 18 . But I don't care what generation it is , not going to happening if I can help it he is going to be grounded for life.

Well better get to my chores or I will be up all night. Tomorrow is Monday already. Where did the weekend go....

The weekend went zipppppppppppp thru the window......i am tired today so hopefully i will be more alert tomorrow....need to go sleep......

We stayed out tonight and the moon is bright as this one star...or it could be a planet that is so bright....dont know much about up there but it is beatufiul.....tomorrow night at dusk we are able to see jupiter they said in the newspaper.....so i am anxious to be able to see that........watch and see it will be overcast tomorrow....hahaha.

Cool morning but suppose to warm up and be humid by the end of the week.

Back to our scheduled stuff this week. Swimming Tuesday and Wed. Guides start next Tuesday. Which also means cookies to be sold....Off and running again.

Got out in got my front flower bed cleaned up for the winter now I need to get in the back. Had Nicholas out there on the weekend but you think I was killing him. Now I know it is a good punishement. Told hubby to trim one of the bushes in the corner ,he thought we cut it right down for the winter....wrong bush. Hope it comes back.

What an incredibly beautiful day.......not hot and hot cold......perfect......Ava and I took a walk this morning and stayed out for an hour walking...she would tell me this way or that way......and we would...

Tomorrow is my day off from Ava.....she is a good kiddo and she does have a little temper......I laugh and walk into the other room.....she hasnt figured out that yet......

Got our last Electric bill from Florida......will pay that and then the water final bill and we should be getting a rebate from insurance co..

need to go outside at dusk so I can see Jupiter......this is hopeful that the skies are as clear as it has been the last week .....just gorgeous and stars and moon are bright...

Twinkie - Yes I text. I got a super new awesome phone(but not as awesome as my DH's new Epic.) I got an app for slideIT texting. It's flipping awesome. And I hear you on the NauGHty little almost 3 year old. Mine is seriously trying my patience. What are you trip dates again? I remember the date we said we would meet up, but I can't remember if that was the end or beginning of your trip. What park were you going to on that date again?

Chad is at school for the second night this week. Last night went really well, this night, not so much.

What a day....

Got a call at lunch from the school. Nicholas hit his head on the ground playing soccer. Took him to get it checked. He has a concussion. He said he tripped on the ball at the same time someone body checked him. They did x rays and were going to do a cat scan because they thought he chipped a bone. But after the x rays the doctors said just watch him for a few days. He says he's got a really bad headache. So we will be getting him up all night. We only got home a few hours ago.

Hubby came home today too because his cold is bothering him. So I get to play nurse for the night I guess.

Twinkie-- your kids are growing so fast. I still see Golden child as a little guy in a stroller when I saw him last... and now he is in school. We need a new picture of the princess.

Sandi and Twink - Great to "see" you and hear what your kiddos are up to! I've been hanging in there weight-wise this summer. Maintaining and getting ready to buckle down again . . .

Nabbie - Poor Nicholas!!!!! Hope he feels better soon. I'm also getting over a cold, so I've been laying kind of low.

Watching Biggest Loser tonight. I didn't see myself during the Detroit filming, but I know I was in the crowd of people wearing orange shirts! Some of those people tonight sure made me tear up

Yes another cruise...and one still in the wings for next Dec. We were planning on using the one we booked two years ago on board but they have put out a 25% discount for Canadians so we just moved that one to next Dec again. This is the second time we moved this one. Jan-Feb is better because the kids have a day off that week so they will only miss 4 days.

Moo-- I was looking for you in the background too. I remember you in the orange shirt. I felt so sorry for the ones that didn't make it. I wanted that big guy with the dreadlocks to win. I hate when they play with them like that. Just pick them and get on with it. Don't get there hopes up.

Nabbie - Based on the preview for next week, it looks like the third guy who was at Detroit, Aaron, is one of the ones who makes it back on in the first episode. I had been trying to figure how he could be one of the contestants when I knew he didn't make it during the Detroit tryout!

We saw Bob take him off to talk for about 10 minutes after the step challenge. You could really tell how bad Bob felt that he didn't make it during the challenge.
