MP. welcome back, glad you had a good time without the kiddos.

My day was uneventful, busy, but not too bad.

Tomorrow is another story altogether......... I am up way too late again!!!!!!

MommyP: Sounds like a lovely getaway. I'm glad you had a nice time.

I won a Mickey desk set at a drawing at a lunch today, woot! stapler, pen holder and dont remember what else, havent unpacked it yet

Lucky you ...I never win anything. Maybe you should have ran out and got a lottery ticket. It was your lucky day.

I think we are back on schedule , don't know why the school needs so much paper work the first week back. Lots of reading for me and signing. I'm not the one going to school.

Had to stay up late because Hannah lost a tooth at supper last night. She would not go to sleep. I thought if I went to bed I would fall asleep and not get money under the pillow. This is the first tooth she actually got out on her own without a dentist help. There is another sticking right out with the other one there....she needs to get wiggling.

First church dance tonight. Hannah is old enough to go this year. Wasn't going to send her but her class is a buzz about and she wants to go now....:scared1: I am not ready for the girl/boy drama. I have enough with Nicholas.

Oh wow.......a winner amongst the troops......glad that you won something Marita..
Today is another CHILLY day.....but I can put on clothes to warm up but never can take enough off when it wsa stinking hot.

Ava has been dry yesterday and today....but no poops yet.....sitting patiently waiting....she yells.....PEEEEEEEEEEEE REE...she calls me Auntie Ree Ree.cause she couldnt say Marie at first....

Hubbies birthday is today and we will go out to Margaritas for supper.....his favorite place....then Sunday we go to a seafood restaurant because my nephew is in town and everyone (18) so far are going to say hello....I want CLAMS....YUMMY.....

Hope you all have a great day...

PS those photos are awesome of Disney.....I can hardly wait to go back.

Hannah is off to her first dance. She was right I think most of her class was there. Nicholas hasn't called yet saying she is a pain ....

I told you Hannah lost a tooth last night and had it under her pillow. Well I only looked inside her envelope she made and there was a note inside , it said Dear tooth fairy I know you only give money but maybe this time you could leave a toy. I have been good Love Hannah. That would have been a good trick , I had a hard enough time putting the toonie under her pillow and getting the tooth out.

Well we decided we would head to my mom's after the dance. No traffic that late at night and we can spend the whole day there tomorrow. Nicholas has to be at church on Sunday so we are trying to sqeeze the most time. Hubby is now working the outage too so that means lots of overtime for him. Have to pay off that big trip...

Hope everyone has a great weekend....

Nab, wow, first dance for hannah. I don 't remember Nicole''s at all, but I remember Chris', I got him a silk shirt and wild tie, LOL it was the fashion at the time. As Nicole got older she went to a lot of dances and she had a ton of just beautiful dresses, mostly long ones. And they were even fairly cheap, like around $80 Chis on the other hand never went to many (if any) dances that I can remember.

Have a great weelend!

morning everyone..

Today I slept in.....well until Megara barked at the stinking crows.....they must of been caw ing under my window.....they are just loud birds. SO are the blue jays....they like to wake us up early too...

yesterday we took the pool apart after draining it and hubby sucking out the left over water........took a good six or so hours to get it completely dry and folded and put in the box with the metal posts that went around it.....but another season is gone....went fast but holy smokes was it a hot one.

Farmes almanac said....cold winter here......but I didnt read anything about alot of snow....cold is cold with or without the white stuff...When they say cold sometime that means below zero....but when it gets to be single digits or the low teens it feels like a heat wave after the zero marks.

Hope you all ahve a great day

Wow this thread is really dying isn't it....no post since yesterday morning.

Busy weekend.

Watched some of the MTV video awards last night with the kids. What terrible music out there. But the kids were excited becasue we know and stood on that street where they were.

Marita-- the church dances are not fancy. Think school dances. Only time kids really dress up at dances are formals or prom. They do post a dress code or some of the girls would come half naked. Hannah did get asked by a boy to dance.....she said no. I think she was more interested in talking to her girlfriends and gettng pop, chips and chocolate at the snack bar.

Nabbie - I think it's just a hectic time of year for a lot of people. I don't have back-to-school busyness, but September is end of fiscal year for me at work.

Guess I'm a little depressed after having my daughter home for a few days :guilty:

hello everyone......well anyone that wants to read this..

Today I am without my rugrat......she is taking the day off and I am in my housecoat...Had breakfast and my coffee and happy person here..

Our GD is driving home this afternoon to go to her doctors for a shot she has to have for school....She had her TB test and then her Tet with diptheria shot...now they want her to have somethng else.....the clinic in the area she is at .wanted 130 bucks for the shot....so she will drive and use twenty dollars for gas...then drive back, after her shot.....

Tomorrow the people sign on our florida place....kinda sad but we will find a place in the right time frame.....

have a good day and probably will be back in a bit

Pumba: you got a buyer that fast? Unheard of over here. Congrats.

I actually had some time I decided I could spare to do nothing school related, so here I am!

I survived my first day of teaching 1st grade catechism. Only had 2 cryers out of 20. They calmed down, but one preferred the bathroom over being in the room. I was fortunate enough to be assigned an aid who was of so much help! She's in high school and I admire her for donating her time to the church and young children.

School is falling into place. I've been up til 1am doing homework and waking between 5 and 6 to get the kids up for school. My poor high schooler wakes up at 5:10am each morning. By 9pm, he is crashing, literally.

My laptop died AGAIN. Motherboard, AGAIN. Tim was the sweetest to leave me his laptop at home today. :lovestruc

Reason for some free computer time.

Hope you are all well.

Mony -- I can't even get Nicholas up for 8:00. The other morning he finally came down at 8:50 and had to leave at 9:00. Next year he has to be up really early like your son , that should be fun.

Hannah has a student in her class this year with a severe allergy to peanut butter. She can't even be around the smell and only one touch would do her in. We have had allergies in the class before but not this bad. It makes it really had to make lunch because so many things say may contain nuts when you don't think it would. Plus if it is that bad I am afraid I might contaminate her food by using peanut butter for the other one. Or just by forgetting to clean off the cutting board between sandwiches.

Spent the day cleaning out my walk in closet. Diabetes is doing a pick up this week so I thought it was time. The stuff I found in there that I forgot about. Finally came to terms that I will not fit a size 12 for a long time or maybe never again, and if I do I would probably want new clothes anyway.

Also stopped and looked at my photo albums from our Disney cruises. Boy were the kids little then. Hannah was only 3 when we took our first one. Time flies.

Nab: I have been cleaning my walk in closet today too. How funny that we both were doing the same thing. I am doing an overhaul of our entire bedroom. I just needed change. I am going to change our bedding and maybe even paint the walls. I can't decide.

I did stop this afternoon to walk in the park with my friend. I *almost* decided to tell her no because I had so much to do, but this is my only day off in nine days and I figured I deserved a walk in the park with a friend. It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad I decided to go. :)

Checking in here. Not too much to report here. Work is a little better. Went to a food show yesterday and got a bunch of food samples, but I missed my group so it was just me wandering around alone, blah.

We had an update from a VP today way out in Kissimmee, so after that I stopped at Red Lobster and got a couple of cups and some of those yummy bisquits to go, I figured it was good for 2 lunches, but I pretty much filled up on bisquits in the car, and only ate 1/2 cup of soup, so I have a bunch more soup and a few more bisquits for a couple of days for lunch.

Oh, I got an invitation to knitfreaks baby shower today, w00t! I miss those days...

WOW, not a single post since yesterday and it's not even the weekend.

Nothing much to report here anyway. I must say not having a dog is keeping the carpet a lot cleaner, no dog hair (even though it was short). Sorry Woody, but I do not miss that about you.

Thursday we have a end of year appreciation party at Epcot at Odyssey (read the dead place) with probably soft drinks and cookies and we get to mix in with the tourists to watch Capt'n EO! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what you call low cost/no cost cast appreciation!:rolleyes1

It has been pouring out all day. Spent the day catching up on recorded shows. To much to watch last night.

Then Nicholas is acting up again, won't get into details but I never saw his father so mad at him. He is the quiet one I am the one that yells and usually butt heads with Nicholas. The teenage years are going to be heck....that we solved this problem before, guess not.:sad2:

Open house at the school tonight, hope it stops raining so we can walk over parking will be bad.

okey Nab and Marita....some one or something ate my posts.....I posted last night and again this morning........where oh where did it go..

Nab the teen years do get better......all of a sudden one day they get their brains back.....It does happen honest......and it is a blessed time.....

Marita...why are you down in the dumps......you know that getting rid of the nicotine in your body makes us depressed a little......so dont worry...it will go away some day.

Yesterday the people signed on the house and today the money is back in our savings.....so maybe another day and another house in Florida will happen...

It is pouring here Nab......did you blow it my way......?????????

Hope you all have a great night

Well it stopped here now so maybe my wishing it would stopped made it move on..sorry. I had gray days like this too. Makes me want to just go back to bed.

Nicholas well be doing some gardening this weekend for punishment. Have to get the beds ready for the winter. Hopefully hubby will trim the trees and bushes while were at it.

Open house went well. Nicholas was happy to show off his teacher. Last year he didn't stay with ran off with friends. His desk is right up front in front of the teachers desk. It looks like his legs and feet would go right under the teachers it is that close....

I got talked into doing some extra volunteering this year too.

Hubby is off tomorrow so we can spend the day together. We haven't had a day for just the two us in a long time.

Pumba-- that was fast to get your money back and everything. Are you gearing up for hunting season yet? My dad always went away after our Thanksgiving which is only in a few weeks.

Marita-- hope your feeling better today. We all have those days.

Hi all,

Nab, geez, Nicholas sounds like a big handful, good luck!

Still hot here, but finally supposed to get to 89 by next Thursday, I can't wait for the cooler weather, I might finally start some gardening of sorts.

Pumba, great you got the Florida place sold, sorry you went through that whole ordeal without any benefits, but better luck next time.

We had a year end event scheduled for all of Finance at Epcot this afternoon, at the old Odyssey pavillion. I guess snacks and games? And invitation to go see Capt EO as mix in with normal guests (gee, if I want to see that as a regular guest I can do that anytime). Anyway, I had planned to go, but new girl didnt want to go till later, and we ended up never going.I really dont much care for new girl. She does good work, but I think she doesnt care for me anyl I dont know why:confused3 So in return, I dont care much for her either. I miss Knitfreak and Asst #2.
I'm trying to schedule another day off, like a Friday, but its not looking good, neither are Mondays, and I hate taking a day off in the middle of the week, so I guess I'll just plug along.....
