Hope you had a fabulous birthday, Twinkie and Lynt!

Sorry im checking in on the rear end of that. This daylight savings time is doing me in!

Slow Tuesday . . . Hope everyone's just gearing up for St. Paddy's Day!

What a lovely day today!!! Blue sky and nearly 60. w00t!

Twink - Mari hasn't divulged too much about the guy she's dating other than he's a graphic artist who works for a newspaper and her dog likes him and he likes her dog! She's met a number of his friends and has passed that "test" and vice versa. She's meeting his family next weekend. So it sounds like things are moving along pretty fast. She's shared one photo, but not a current one. It'll probably be a while before we get to meet him.

bbn - I have yet to see Alice in Wonderland, but I was kind of thinking I might feel the same way about Johnny Depp if I see it :scared1:

Wow not a single post all day.

Hubby had today off so we spent it enjoying the beautiful weather we are having.

Hannah got a new bike today so of course she had to try it out and go to the park. She is getting tall, I think both kids are on another growth spurt.

Moo-- Did you watch Biggest Loser. I knew either Sherry or Stephanie was going home. I don't understand why they voted for Drea. How is she a threat. They need those numbers for the weight in. Kolbi and his brother made me cry. So happy for them. Sherry did really well at home. Wish she would have made it to the make over show to see what they would have done with her hair.

Darn Dis just swallowed my post again!

Hi all (Moo?)

Not much to report here. Work has slowed down for a bit. Had lunch and team meeting on the lake today, it was still chilly with the wind, I would have preferred a sunny spot on shore, LOL.

We had a trivia quiz with 10 St. Patty's day questions, I got one out of 10 right. No movie tickets for me, good thing I dont like going to the movies.... The top person got 5 of 10. That's about all for now, no exciting plans in my future so far.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Oh, I had a toothache all day, but it got better with wine at home, you suppose they will let me drink at the office as medicine?

I am EXHUASTED.......I can hardly wait for Saturday so I MAYBE can sleep in. Past six anyways.

Ava is coming soon but wanted to say HEY to you guys ..

I am French so no green lep's today. My grandson who has red hair thinks he is a leprocan or however you spell it....to tired to do spell check...I will talk to my little man later...

Sun is out and its supposed to be in the high 50's to low 60;s......we are having a heat wave......YES YES YES.

have a good day

I think our little club is shrinking...

I had a boring moringing, counting files on a CD to counter objections from MK about charging them for making cakes... YAWN!

Afternoon got more interesting with getting involved in a margin analysis project that culminated in a 2 1/2 hour phone conversation with boss and another analyst tonight. Boss had 3 weeks left for his presentation, and there were a lot of data gathering issues. Finally got some official files, but slow going with those. SO this afternoon boss got a message that he has to present to VP tomorrow morning and Exec VP staff meeting on Monday, so a few people almost had heart attacks, since that is almost impossible with the time it's taking just to get the data.

Luckily, he later (evening) found out it's just a status update with key learnings so far, whew! But i'm involve in that now. which makes me happy.

I was just skimming the CB and came across a threat about pork tenderloin. I never tried one (or beef). I might attempt one this weekend. Anyone have any good recipes? I really prefer beef though.

I for one am having a great week......warm temps....Marita....our warm temps that brings out people in tank tops and shorts are in the 60's....I do believe you guys would be cold.

I am off and will be back during nap time.

HERS NOT MINE....:rotfl:

Nabbie - Hope you're having fun at your mom's! I also thought Sherry did a great job after going home. I was thinking the same thing about it being too bad she wouldn't be on the makeover show. I hope there are still some women left by then  My friend Debbie said that, in looking at the TV Guide preview, it appears that there will be an opportunity for some of the contestants who got sent home to come back in a couple weeks. I think Drea's days are numbered because she will become a bigger threat to some of the smaller women.

Marita - I'm still around :) I was just tired last night. Sounds like your job is a bit more challenging, but more fun than the previous one.

Well, DD e-mailed today to say that she's bringing her boyfriend home for Easter :scared1: In other words, let the cleaning frenzy begin!!!!!!!!! I'm really looking forward to meeting him because she hasn't exactly been very forthcoming with information.

Pumba - You're right about this spring weather! I've seen all kinds of people out in shorts and t-shirts this week!!! Ava's keeping you hopping, isn't she?! ;)

Pumba

Evening,

Not much to report here. Worked on setting up graph files for this big margin project allllllllll dayyyyyyyyy looong, and more to come. But it's OK, I like it. Otherwise pretty quiet at work right now, so it gives me something fun to do.

I have a meeting from 4-5 tomorrow, on a Friday! What mad person set this up?????????? Hopefully it won't last the whole hour, I already have 39 hours in as of today.

DD went to Atlanto for 2 days this week. That actor she met from Fiddler on the Roof paid for her trip again. Last time she was in Boston. Maybe this is developing into something? I don't think I like that though.

Moo, good luck with the housecleaning and meeting the BF! If he's coming to meet the parents, there must be something to it :thumbsup2

Marita - I told my boss that Mari might be bringing her new boyfriend home to meet us and he told me I ought to watch that Meet the Parents movie  At least I have a little time to spiff up the house.

That sounds like an interesting friendship your daughter has . . . I wonder if he might have frequent flier miles or something. Is he older than her? At least she is getting to see different parts of the country.

Sorry you have such a late meeting tomorrow :( At least it'll still be light out for your drive home!

Guess I'd better fold my laundry and head toward bed.

P.S. Tomorrow is my "surgiversary". 142 lbs gone in one year. Phew! Wish I'd been able to hit my 150 lb goal, but that will hopefully come in the next 2-3 weeks.

Moo, congrats on 142, that's fantastic, and really, really close to your goal, you can be proud of yourself!

I really dont know anything about this BF except he has a bit part of the Rabbi's son in a big time Broadway Touring show with Tevye. He is also probably part of the general village crowd, I imagine. I dont know if he is older, but he looks a bit so, I saw a picture on her facebook page. She met him a couple of times when his show was in Orlando (they met through friends). Funny thing is. DH. DD and I went to see the show before she met him and saw him on stage and had no clue what was to come. Since then she went to Boston and Atlanta to meet him for a couple of days each. Of course she doesnt tell me anything...
It's past 1am already, I may just be sick tomorrow, cough!!

HOWDY PARTNERS.

Yes it is friday night and I am celebrating.....hubby and I went to the Ramada for dinner and then came home......I am ready to undress in a few and get my pjs on....ROFL.....
Ava is really a great year and a half old kid.....she is smart and funny and she stomped her foot at me the other day when I said NO......I laughed so hard...she then laughed back at me..I have had a good week HONEST.....
yesterday two boxes of Thin mints were delivered and today my other niece brought one thin mint and two boxes of peanut butter oatmeal cookies....I love those too.....but so far have not opened one box.

Marita, sounds like a blossoming relationship......she is old enough right????HAHAHA

any person who has done as well as you have with your weight loss after surgery should be darn proud of yourself..Cause I know I am ....I have read and heard of other people who have not even done this good......I am wicked (Maine person here) proud of you...

Tomorrow I am going to stay in my housecoat until I feel it is time to dress ..and TOMORROW OUR temps will be almost 70 but saw the long term temps for next monday into tuesday and we are in for 30s and snow.......GO FIGURE

Thanks, Marita and Pumba! I took my before photos into the office and posted them by some healthy treats and thanked my coworkers for their support and encouragement. It was kind of fun to celebrate! I feel so much better these days than I did a year ago, it just amazes me :)

Tonight's workout was pretty hard but I made it through 4 sets. Last Friday, I could only do 2 1/2 sets and I ran out of gas because I didn't eat enough that afternoon to keep me going  I was so happy when I was done tonight.

Marita - Did you stay home today or did you make it in to work???

Moo, not only did I get to bed at 1:30 last night, I actually woke up 20 minutes earlier than usual, go figure:confused3 So I made it to work, but a little late, cause I lost my house key off my key ring (it was a bit precariously attached), so I frantically searched for the spare key, but found it. Now I need to get new spare, plus one for my car, I have no idea where that went. :confused3

DS called this afternoon to see when I could take vacation because he was bored and going to look for a cruise to take me on

My weather is i finally warming up here, back to the 80's after the coldest winter on record in Florida. Sorry Pumba and Moo, Florida is reclaiming it's rightful spot at last!

goog Morning fellow moovers..

Today the sun is out and the birds are cawwwwing. I tried to sleep in HONEST but for some reason I woke up when I usually do. BUT I am still in my housecoat and hubby had made us turkey/bacon, eggs, and toast and coffee....so I am a happy camper.....he does a good job cooking..

Hope you all have a great day......I may get dressed and go sit in the yard and read THE LOST SYMBOL.

I read the second of the Bride series. It was a fast reading book too.....Her love escapades are very vivid.....I almost could see them romping thru the driveway.....hahaha

woohoo, I found a new best friend! Ella the seamstress. I am meeting her tomorrow afternoon at Joann Fabrics. $30 per suit for lined cuffs and pants, not bad!

Now if I only get my butt off the couch to get my nails done... I hate that almost as much as Pumba hates snow, LOL

Moo, I didnt see that thread about the Villages, but I heard that lots of times before. I always said I want to retire there, but now I am thinking it's too far away, I think I want something closer to family (or at least DD while she is still around) I saw an ad for a place in Clermont, just on the other side of Disney from me that might work, and there is always Vista Del Largo that Smidgy and Nebo want to move to right there in Kissemmee.

I bought my first ever pork tenderloin today, can't wait to try it. It's marinated in peppercorn. I thought it was beef because it was dark, so I got pork instead of beef by mistake. Oh well, no big deal. Only problem is, I don't know when I will be able to make it, since my alteration appt is at 3pm, and I need to leave at 2:15 and hubby can't eat after 4, so either he makes it or it will have to wait till next weekend.

Also searched for side dishes to go with it and signed up for tablespoon.com, which coincidentally also has a bunch of coupon listings and a newsletter. If the newsletter gets too annoying, I will unsubscribe. Cooking is really not my forte, LOL, but I am always interested in some new recipes just in case it catches my fancy.

Marita - A tossed salad or garlic smashed red potatoes would go great with your tenderloin! All you have to do is boil some quartered redskin potatoes with the skins still on, then add milk and butter like you do with regular mashed potatoes, but also add some crushed garlic, which you can buy in a small jar. Yummy! You could make your tenderloin for lunch. Throw it in the oven in the morning. Go out to the store for a side dish while it's cooking if you need to.

Any word back from your DS about a cruise?

I got most of my dining room table cleared off this evening. Tomorrow I need to do some general cleaning in the bathroom and take off my old toilet seat and put on a new one. I'm also going to swap out my shower curtain for my beachy one and put down the new rugs I bought. I don't know how I'm going to get the iron stains off the shower enclosure and tub. It's probably either going to involve lots of elbow grease or some kind of acid :headache:

I don't think I'll do that tomorrow because I'm going to a friend's house for corned beef and cabbage (in honor of St. Patrick's Day -- my friend is Irish American) and some social time :thumbsup2

Moo, no word from DS. I'm sure we will talk tomorrow sometime though.

Sounds like you are you well on your way to get the house ready. How about C-L-R for the stains?

Thanks for the potato suggestion, I added it to the list I will file for future reference. Hubby will have to cook tomorrow, or it will have to wait, I think I said that already. I did find a jar of red cabbage in the cupboard though as part of potential side dishes.

I have expanded my alteration plans to the other 2 new suits I bought. I think 1 has sleeves that are ok, but the pants could probably take some hemming. At least the last 2 are not lined, so that should be a lot cheaper. So I am leaving tomorrow with 4 suits and 3 pairs of shoes to meet some woman at a fabric store, where she is going to measure my clothes. They do NOT have dressing rooms at fabric stores, so :confused3. I guess the store would not allow public disrobing.... so we shall see. That whole experience should last from about 2 to 4 with travel time, so my afternoon is pretty much shot. But hopefully I will have some decent suits to wear when I need them. (why do I need 4 when I havent had one in a few years :confused3 )

BFF put a thought in my head about Reubens for dinner during the week. I'm tired of chicago rolls with prociuotto after a year, I need a new obsession, so I might try that.
