Pumba -- no sun here for the last two days. It was pretty windy last night. The pipe that goes out of the house from the furnace was rattle in the wall. It has never done that before and drove me crazy. Hubby went out his morning to see if we lost any shingles.

It had been windy all day and rain off and on. I am pretty tired from not getting much sleep. That is not a good thing since we move the clock forward tonight and lose a hour sleep. Hubby loves it because he works night shift tonight and doesn't have to work that hour and still gets paid.

Marita -- saw you washed your floor at 1:00 last night. Now that is crazy. :rotfl:

Hi Moovers!

Just thought I'd check in with y'all and see how things are going. NAB, we're having the same kind of weather here, and it's supposed to continue right through tomorrow night.

Since Natasha is now an official altar server (she served her 2nd Mass this afternoon at 4:00), we all went to church today. Now we can all sleep in tomorrow instead of having to get up for the 9:30 Mass. I've already nominated DH to drive Boris to CCD at 10:15. Plus, I have already done my grocery shopping, so instead of trying to squeeze that in tomorrow, I'm intending to laze around in my pajamas all day, cooking and doing laundry. Oh, the luxury!

In other news, my kids got their report cards yesterday. Nothing but good news there, thankfully!

That's about all I've got, I guess. Hope all's well with y'all!

Lynette-- that ticker looks fabulous on you!!

Both my kids serve and love it. Our church now has a projector that they put song up on . Nicholas does that at 9:00 on Sunday and Hannah serves at 11:00 mass and so does he. They really need him because they got a new cross that is so heavy most can't carry it. So he at the church from 8:30 to 12:00 longer if the mass runs long. He asked me if I could just go to the 9:00 but I know they really need him at the 11:00 and I prefer to go to that one. He said he doesn't like sitting though the sermon twice. Guess I can't blame him for that.

This weather is suppose to be with us another day then sunny and mild again for the rest of the week.....got to love that for March Break.

howdy.
Hubby vacummed the house today for me and then he washed the kitchen and bathroom floor.......His way was not bad...he takes a big old towel and dunks it in cleaner/water and then squeezes it out and commences to dance on the floor...I said.....HEY YOU .....the new squeegie is in the cellar with the bucket...but it fell out of his ears......hahaha...BUT he did a dang good job and the floor is clean as a whistle......gotta love this guy...

I need to sleep in....last night was a night of awake off and on because of the stupid new pillow.....for some reason it gave me a stiff neck.....I thought it was the same type I buy....firm side sleeper.....but I think I (or he did) made a ****oo.......oh well.....if I lay on it enough maybe it will flatten out...

took care of the grandkids today...dropped them off here at 4 and the parents went to the movies and then out to supper......We had the rugrats and had pizza and breadsticks....YUMMY....

but now my house is quiet and I was reading the second of the brides series...it is so easy reading.....
have a good night everyone

Sounds like everyone's having a nice weekend! Nice, lazy day for me for the most part. I went to the local pool and swam for an hour this afternoon. I talked my hubby into going out for dinner. We went to a sushi place and I got a spice lobster and shrimp roll and Don got tempura chicken. Both were yummy!

Lynette - This is a link my DD sent me about PJ days: http://1000awesomethings.com/2010/03/08/554-staying-in-your-pajamas-all-day/

CONGRATS on your upcoming trip!!!

Nabbie - We're having rainy weather too, but at least it's not super windy.

Pumba - I've read that second Nora Roberts brides book. I think I liked that one even more than the first one! Right now, I'm reading the latest Susan Wiggs book in the Lakeshore Chronicles. Enjoyable, light reading. Just right for this weekend.

Marita - I saw your 1 am kitchen floor post too, LOL! I haven't had the energy to clean late at night in ages. I do need to get cracking on my house cleaning though because Mari might be coming home for Easter or the weekend after and may be bringing the new boyfriend

Moo, and YAY on maybe the new BF coming to visit. Major cleaning definitely required. I do MAJOR cleaning once a year, before the big xmas dinner (used to be before mom came to visit earlier in the month)

I managed to make dinner today and vacuum. I think that's about it. I did some work work. I also slept in till 11:30 today after my late night cleaning frenzy and took a short nap this afternoon. I also cleaned the fridge last night and the foyer (sorta)

Hubby bought fresh strawberries for DD some days ago, and she still hasn't come by, so I think I will liberate some and cut them up and soak them in sugar and devour them with whipped cream.
So far I got maybe 45% of my "to-do" list done for my 4 days off. Not great a great record :rolleyes1 I could use an outing for dinner at Red Lobster.

Lynette, horray for your trip! Where are you staying? How long? Maybe I will accidentally run into you checking in at Cheft Mickeys for a late breakfast?

NAB, our church has a giant cross like that too. Our pastor won't let the servers carry the cross until they weigh at least 75 pounds. Neither Natasha nor her friends (who are also new servers) are big enough yet. However, Natasha DID get to ring the bells during the consecration of the Host today. That was a big deal to her, apparently.

Marita, right now I am booked in a preferred room at CBR. Not sure about keeping the ressie for that resort though. I've only ever stayed at AKL, so I'm not sure about going to a Mod. Opinions, anyone? :confused3 Natasha doesn't really like the idea of CBR....she's trying to sell me on POR or POFQ if we end up at a Mod. But I've read some threads on the Resort boards about the Port Orleans resorts being in desperate need of upgrades.

I would really like to stay at WL, but DH wants to keep this trip "reasonable", which to him means a Mod. (He suggested a Value, but I'd be afraid of getting stuck with hundreds of Brazilian tour groups in the same resort. Ack!) I did get a free dining PIN in the mail this morning! It was only supposed to be good through July 3, but when I called to see if it could be applied to my ressie, it worked! Which, of course, I took to mean that the Man Upstairs truly WANTS me to go to WDW. That's reasonable, right? ;)

Speaking of what's reasonable, Marita, what's this nonsense about you cleaning the floor at 1am? Stop it, woman! Your laptop NEEDS you on the couch, where you belong!

ETA: Moo, I didn't know your DD has a new BF. Yikes and yay, all at the same time!

for sure! Free Dining, woot!!
I love both Pop and PO, not that I have ever stayed at either (but I worked at both, does that count?). I thought PO just got a rehab a couple or so years ago :confused3 I think the Brazilian groups usually stay at the All Stars. Anyway, I love the theming of POP and POF FQ and the mansions at RS, the views are great over the river, and you get the boat rides to DTD. Sigh!! And Pop and RS food courts are grrrrrrrreat!

My laptop NEEDS to be kicked in the keester once in a while

Port Orleans French Quarter has been upgraded ...A few years ago they did the rooms on one side and then moved to the other side. WE went there last April with our family and they decided they wanted to go again this year with us. So 55 days till FQ.. It is a smaller of the moderate resorts and our favorite. The Values are not bad either. If hubby hadnt wanted to have a hot tub we would of probably been in Movies. We love that place too. You know we have been to Disney 26 times or so and we have never been bothered (that much) with the groups that everyone complains about. We did have some cheerleaders that were in the pool at midnight but heck it was so hot we would of joined them. This was last September.
I say YIPPEE for any visit to the House of the Mouse.

It is pouring right now and Megara decided she didnt want to go potty. So in a few I will "encourage" her to try again.......She will be busting at the seams if she doesnt go..

Have a good Sunday my friends

We always stay at POR when we go. It is our favourite. And all the rooms were just done maybe 3 or 4 years ago. :confused3

Lynette-- yes the bells are something they love to do, some barely ring them other they go on forever or they forget when to ring them. But there face beam when they are done doing it. Hannah was suppose to do them today but the girl beside her almost hit heads with her and got there first so she just let her do it.

Moo-- how exciting to meet the new boyfriend.

Hannah's at a play date and Nicholas has someone sleeping over tonight. I plan on reading a book this afternoon if they don't get to loud. If they do I will send them out in the wind and off and on again rain.

Lynette - DD's boyfriend is a fairly recent development. It remains to be seen whether she'll be bringing him for a visit next month  Are you doing one of the new pirate: rooms at CBR? I think that would be very fun!

We stayed at CBR during our first on-site stay, but that was probably over 15 years ago. I enjoyed staying in the "Mansion" section at POR, but that was several years ago. We were right by a quiet pool. I would love to go back to Wilderness Lodge, but we'll probably stay in the DVC part when we do. My hubby and I stayed at Wilderness Lodge on our first vacation alone together after Mari was in college. We got a pin code postcard and I could NOT pass up the rate! We don't seem to get pin codes any more though :(

I do still use my Wilderness Lodge free refills travel mug for my hot chocolate or tea in the morning. Wish the hotels still had their own designs, but I understand that it's more economical to have the same mug at all the resorts.

morning.......Its raining, its pouring the old man is snoring (actually he went to work), I went to bed and bumped my head and didnt want to get up this morning.
I did take a shower, put the trash out, folded the laundry and Encouraged Megara to go potty......It is a very very wet day...
Ava will be here in a few so time is limited....I am ready for my day with my monkey....

Have a good day everyone

Finally not windy here this morning. We still have no sun , no rain either. Hate days like that.

Nicholas had a friend over last night. They were still up at 4:30 , hubby went down to check. I went to bed at 11:00 and told them to go then too. They were in the basement. The two of them will be tired later because they were up and outside by 9:00.

Hannah is bugging to go to Chuck E Cheese today. They give free tokens when you show your report card. We promised her last month we would go sometime. I will torture Nicholas and make him go out today with little sleep after his friend goes home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINKIE!!!!!

:rockband:party::jumping1::drinking1:cake::dance3:

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT ONE!

Those are the perfect gifts. Thank you so much sistahwifecybertwin. The cake is awesome!!!!

I did watch the last episode of nip/tuck. Sigh. My new show is NCIS. I am only like 7 seasons behind. Ha. I love a good procedural AND I had no idea that Micheal Weatherly was on that. I am watching them out of order on the Sleuth network.

Thanks for the birthday greetings NAB.

I am celebrating by posting this while watching the little twinks rock out to Party in the USA. Thank you windows. Heh.

I admit I skimmed--- but we (ok just me nad maybe they were yesterdaypage) need the details...

Lynt has a trip? dates? pm me if you don't want to post your vacation plans for you 10000000 closest stalkers. Ha.

Moo- what do you know about this BF???? sounds exciting.

Marita- any jobs open backstage in your area? My sister is an industrial engineer who does optimization for complex systems. She has worked for the military and now for a big company. I think it would be advantageous (for me mainly) for her to optimize resource allocation for the mouse- resorts, park merch, I don't care.

Hi Pumba! We are finally done with snow here on the prairie.
Anyone see MommyP? Hopefully she is busy sewing. ;)

I am going go reskim and see if any of these burning questions are answered.

Lator Gators.

Uhhh Twink are you begging for pm's again? Lynt, don't fall for her trickery. She's very "angelic". IF you know what I mean.

In my hurry this morning, I forgot to update you guys on my life. Because I KNOW you are interested.

1. MARCH MADNESS BAYBEEEE! That's right college basketball. All day. All night. All the time. I'm not even upset that "Survivor" will be preempted for the tournament.

2. I saw "Alice In Wonderland" this weekend. I liked it. Johnny Depp was good, but freaky. He needs to hurry up and get back to doing what he does best. pirate:

3. I just got called in to work. (which seems to be my usual hang out these days.)

4. I have yet to meet my goal of smelling nice, because I went to the gym and have been working on the mountain of laundry that I did not do over the weekend. But now I have to stop mid-mountain and shower and head to the baby birthin' floor.

5. I love God, my family, my friends (irl and icl), and my country.

The End.

happy birthday twinkee
