Heey all. I started sewing again, so I'll be around these parts for awhile cuz I need the disboutiquers to help me.

I got a contact for make a wish, so I'm going to start making clothes for wish kids trips to Disney.
only I'm horrible at it.
I've never done an applique and I've only made things for people I know who don't care if the insides are crazy looking. eek!

big L - I can't believe boris and natasha will be in the 5th and 4th grade! Everyone grows up too fast!!

Hiya Cel! Sewing for MAW is pretty cool!:thumbsup2 I bet your stuff is way better than you give yourself credit for.

I can't believe how old Boris and Natasha are getting either! DH and I were talking about their "advanced ages" earlier this week, and how we wish we could just freeze time for just a little while........:sad1:

The boys actually have had 2 really good days so far, so maybe my mad momma skillz worked.

Hoping and praying I find a group. Maybe I should start one myself.

Presentation tomorrow about assessements for transitioning students with special needs to vocational programs after they complete school. Its a group effort and I have 3-4 minutes to shine. Didn't help that I over heard the two instructors powwowing and saying that the presentations should be awful.

No joke!

We only had 4 lectures, the rest of the time was spent in the schools observing. I love it when the instructors use their students to teach topics that they have no time to teach. Each group was assigned a chapter of the book to do their presentations on.

Allie, that's not nice!

MommyP - Sounds like you're having a heck of a rough time lately! Hope Ellie feels better soon and your weather straightens up. I guess I can make do with my clouds and gloominess in exchange for having the temp be in the 70s :goodvibes

Congrats on the kids' great grades, Lynette! May the fun summer times begin :woohoo:

Marita - Hope your son made it in and you're having a great time catching up with him :dance3:

Cel - That disboutiquers stuff is addictive ;) I know you'll have lots of fun with your projects :thumbsup2

Mony - Love hearing about your mad momma skillz  So happy they worked!

Pumba - Hope your DIL feels better soon and, more importantly, that you don't catch that crud!

Nabbie - You must still be super busy with kids activities. Hope that the end of the school year goes great for Hannah and Nicholas.

Allie - I'm going to guess that you have a WDW trip planned and it's going to be a surprise!!!!

DS's flight was delayed by 30 minutes and supposedly landed at 12:03 am, but he won't return hubby's calls and we only live about 10 minutes from the airport. It's now almost 12:45, and I'm wilting! But I cant go to bed now. And I have a 9 am meeting tomorrow! But I think I can skip that if need be.

Seems it's like just never ending stuff lately..........

Sorry I havent had time to comment on posts, not enough hours in the day. I have 46 work hours in as of today (Wed), 3 work days....

It's now 12:51am and he''s still not here!

Ok I decided that everyone in my class today is going to look like all of you. I have speaking in front of crowd nerves this morning.

Marita: Hope you son arrived safe.

I will be sitting front and center listening to you today.....SEE ME, I am the one waving and looking like a pig (pumba)..You will do fine ....

Marita hope that you son got on his flight and is home with you all now.....sometimes going thru orlando airport is like going up stream to spawn (of course if you only a salmon)..Tell him all his aunties say HEY...

Last night we went to visit friends and we sat outside on a portable swing..So lazy and so nice....laughed my head off and it felt good.......she and I get along well and her hubby goes hunting with hubby and our son and MOI..

Hope you all have a great day and keep smiling.:lovestruc

Yesterday was a weird weather day and all my running around with things wore me down. I had a migraine headache and just went to bed. I was so happy when Nicholas game was rained out. Was in bed by 8:00 last night but feel much better today.

My sister is in the hospital too. She had thyroid cancer , which she had it taken out two years ago but since then her potassium levels are really low. She passed out and was out 15 minutes. Now they are scared it will harm her heart so she is in for tests.

Alli-- How long to we have to wait to here your good news?

Marita-- when did your son make it home? You must be tired today.

Mommy P-- Hope the kids are doing better and it doesn't go down the line.

Pumba-- funny the emails are just coming back now. I did receive all the pictures though.

Well sun is shining today, hubby's got the trailer home today to start getting ready for holidays. Checking this and that. Not sure when we will actually go though. He has lots of time of this summer.

We picked DS up from the airport about 1:30 last night, I think I made it to bed around 2AM. And YES, I was tired all day, but great to have him home. He just left with his best friend to go out.

Work is still crazy, but not as bad as it has been.

Mony, hope your class went well, I hate presentations with a passion.

Need to go eat something now, and back to work

Allie, NO FAIR! Come back and tell us NOW! popcorn::

Sorry!! Trust me, I WANT to tell, but can't right now, but CAN say I have good news. ;)

Allie - what's your news?

Still can't tell, yet. ;)

Allie, that's not nice!
:cutie:

Praying for your sister. That is SCARY!!!

Marita - Glad your son made it home safely. Hope you get a good night's rest tonight. :cloud9:

Presentation is done! Over! Finito! Now I just have to write my papers from the observations I did and the assessment and behavior charts.

Spent 3 hours working on Brain and Behavior on campus today, reading and study cards. All we do is take tests in this class.

Spent 2 1/2 more hours this evening after 11 hours at school working on typing of papers.

I hate when professors say we don't put in enough hours a week on homework. I really try to put in as much as I can.

Bed is calling me.

My daughter is taking "assessments" for her summer class. She then has two more classes and will get her special ed license. she teaches Math to all the students in there....

Hubbies brother got his moose permit for October hunt and hubby is the sub permitte...Then our son got his moose permit for September in a different area of Maine and hubby is the sub permittee...
Geesh.....now we dont know how many weeks we can do in Florida to see the place and get some furnishings down there and other important items....oy oy oy...not that I want moose meat up the ying yang....

Have a good day everyone.....it is going to be HOT in Maine today

Hello/Jello!

1. I am not dead.
2. I have been MIA literally- in action at VBS. It is wonderful but exhausting.
3. As my FB buddies know, I FINALLY got a pin code. Except I didn't really get it but it was attached to my name at a previous address and an email account that I don't even remember. My mom found it and we booked it pronto. We are going before Grasshopper turns 3. With two kids under 3 we can't afford NOT to go, right? ;)
4.I haven't even skimmed other than this page.
5. I did see MP's TR but I haven't had time to read much yet. I will 'cause I KnOW y'all are just waiting for my insightful and pity comments like "great post! thanks for sharing!!!!"

1. YAY! That's good news!
2. VBS sounds scintillating?
3. Still waiting for deets on your PIN code. Kindly reply to this post with the who/when/where. I cannot be expected to stalk you properly if I am not kept abreast of your whereabouts. Thankyouveddymuch. Besides, maybe if you and Mony are going to be at the World at the same time, your kids can be part of her Y.E.S. group!
4. At this point, we'll take ANY comments. Things 'round these parts are s-l-o-w, as you may have noticed.

This is a 3-day weekend for me! Howzabout a w00t for that piece of news? I am taking Monday off to accompany my Brownie troop to a local dairy farm that offers mini-golf and made-on-the-premises ice cream. (Because those two go together naturally, right? :confused3) It will be our last get-together until September. Since we're meeting at 1pm, there's not time for me to go to work before or after, so I took the day off.

The weather here is FANTABULOUS! Today was sunny and warm, with beautiful puffy white clouds. The weather is supposed to hold for tomorrow, so Boris and Natasha and I will be relaxing by the pool. I am hoping that my brother will not show up with the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse (aka his kids). That would shirley turn our day of relaxation into a day of chaos and noise. Keep your fingers crossed, 'kay?

Hi all,

Still busy as all get out with work herem but at least less stress about at VP presentation

DS went out with his best friend last nihgt and apparantly had a few too many beers, I heard he wast feeling all that great tonight. .. Not used to drinking anymore, Anyway, the area in Miami now, ready to go on a 4 night cruise. Can I say i'm jealous? I sure could use one about now,

I think I can fit in some grocery shopping and a manicure in tomorrow finally.

Thats pretty much all from here.

Mony, yay on getting the presentation behind you!

Twinkie, good to here from you, you sound busy too

Pumba, the horror of choosing between hunting and the new place :scared1:

I'm about ready to collapse into bed, good night!

Marita-- you go to bed so late....

But you were the first and only post of the day.:lmao:

I swear I am living baseball this summer. We had a ball tournment today. Nicholas team didn't win but they played the best game so far. Nicholas kept coming up to see me saying did you see that mom. Poud mom moments that is for sure. We have more ball tomorrow night but at least this one is in town.

Alli-- your are such a tease.

Twinkie -- good to see your still around but busy. I can relate.

Lynette-- I wish my kids were done ....7 more days with reports coming home on the 6th day. Hannah's teacher is still giving test. She had two this past week what the heck. :confused3

Hope tomrorow is nice weather because we have the church picnic for Father's day tomorrow. Out door mass , bbq. jumping castle , dunking tank (Nicholas is going in and I am going to get him.) and talent show. All out on the front lawn of the church. I volunteered to help with the jumping castle, they wanted me to face paint but that would have been bad for me and the kids.

Got to sleep in today, yay!

Finally managed to get my nails done, I was way past due and typing was getting hard. Still no groceries though. Not that we dont have anything to eat, just stuff I want to get like Texas toast, mushroom soup, new reading glasses, taco stuff, etc. So I'm not starving by any means. But hopefully tomorrow I can fit it in.

We had a bit of drama here today. The kids left for their cruise yesterday, sailing out of Miami. Apparently, DD didn't realize she needed a passport till the last minute and grabbed the one at the house (the German one, she has dual citizenship, her american one was at her place).
Well, when she got there, they didnt like that her driver's license was from US with Germn passport, so hubby had to go find her birth certificate and find place to scan and email it to the cruise line so they would let her board. But I guess they are on OK by now.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY !!

Hope all the dad's out there have a great day with the kids.

Marita-- glad everything worked out with your dd. I noticed you slipped reading glasses in you list of what you got yesterday. Did you very get your prescriptions again?

Off to church.....

The sun is shining and looks to be a little breeze out there :woohoo:

Hope everyone's having a great Fathers Day! I took my hubby out for dinner last night so we wouldn't have to deal with a long wait today. DD called this morning. It was good to hear from her.

After dinner last night, there was a hot air balloon launch at the local airport a few miles down the road. We ended up having several of the balloons flying past our house, so that was kind of cool :goodvibes

My hubby is going to finally put the hitch on my car today so I can use my bike rack. I'm trying very hard not to nag him to get started!!!

Nabbie - Sounds like you have a fun day lined up!!! School will be over before you know it :woohoo:

Marita - Glad your kids made it onto their cruise OK :) Too bad you weren't able to join them.

I was a loser wife this morning and had to leave the house a tad early to get DH his gift since I specificly went yesterday for it and walked out of the store with everything else but the gift.

While we were there, snafoo at his work has made him have to go in for a few hours.

When he and the boys return, I made the boys go to help him load 1300 tuxedos on the truck, so we can then go to see toy story 3 in 2D, hate the
3-D effects and the extra 2.50 per ticket price.

I crunch and crunch numbers and the YES program is a savings, but compared to free dining, it saves about the same amount of money. I think I am missing something, but can't put my finger on it.

I compared our current package with free dining to 30% room only discount with purchasing park tickets through YES and only come up with a 40.00 savings.

Why does that not seem right?

Mony, my thought was that you could buy the minimum required tickets to get your free dining, but save those park tickets for a future trip. That way, your kids get to do the Y.E.S. class and it's almost like you're getting to stack codes, PLUS you get the added bonus of having tickets for a future trip at today's price. Does that make sense? :confused3
