Happy Monday, Moovers!

Time is flying by.....two more days of school for Boris and Natasha! This weekend, we wrapped up the soccer season and Boris' Scouts season. YAY!

Also, this morning, I ordered our park tickets from Disney's Y.E.S. office. Three weeks and 6 days until we arrive at AKL! :cool1:

Big Daddy and I had our anniversary on Saturday....12 years married and 16 years together! We actually got to go out to dinner, which was so nice.

I've been keeping up with y'all. Glad to see that things seem to be going well over here!

Gotta get to work...have a great day!!!!!!

What is the YES office? How does one order ticket's through them and is that to save money? i'm really trying to look into other options and we might stay off property this time.

Congrats on 12 years of bliss!

It only took my boys 1 1/2 hours to get grounded. They were in the worst physical fight I've ever seen between them. All over chores.

Now they have to finish their chores, fix what they broke, distroyed, turned over and spend the rest of the day in their room. No tv. Only can leave to eat and bathroom breaks. I will not spend the summer playing ref for them. Nipping this right away. How many days is the question to keep them in their rooms?

Mony, the YES office runs the Youth Education Series. They do educational programs for homeschoolers and youth groups (church groups, Girl/Boy Scouts, etc.). They are offering open enrollment this summer, so Boris and Natasha are taking part in one of their 3-hour classes. Participation in the program entitles the entire travel party to deeply discounted tickets. There is a LOOOONG thread about it on the Budget Board. I don't think there are any Open Enrollment classes available in August (that's when you're going, right?), but you might be able to get in as part of an already formed group. Check out the Budget Board for availability. I got 4 8-day Park Hoppers for about $740, PLUS the class can earn Boris and Natasha a badge for Boy/Girl Scouts, respectively.

Here's a link to the Budget Board thread:

and here's the link to the program's website:

Wow, Lynette! That's a GREAT price for tickets!!!

Belated HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Mony - Hope your boys straighten up and fly right, toot sweet! It would be a shame for them to be cooped up inside their rooms for very long and miss out on vacation.

My boys seemed to manage to find ways to have fun with no electronical entertainment. Who knew that 2 boys who can't stand each each other could get along and laugh together like they did last night.

Lynette great snag! I talked to the Y.E.S folk and they said historically disney doesn't offer the program into August, but that its not unheard of and I should watch the website for that to possibly happen. Is that a message?

Off to my long long day at school. Have a good one!

Hey Nab, remember those emails I sent......and only the third one got to CANADA...well I received one that could not find you......it was to funny to see it returned....

Today the sun is out..LOOK EVERYONE up in the sky.....its the SUN.....my doctors visit was really good......I dont have to go to them unless I am off the wall and need the diabetic doctor's help.....but my a1c went from six in March to six point six yesterday.......three months and it went haywire....geesh...cause I didnt walk like i was doing before...start with that wii fit plus today and see if I can use it occasionally maybe I can get my act together......

Hope you all have a great day

Pumba-- that is funny, I am not that hard to find. :lmao:Glad it got to me though.

Lynette-- Happy belated anniversary! Time flies doesn't it.

It has been so busy around here. Last night was the school play, we have some talented girls that can really sing.

Today is the last mass of the school year , then a volounteers luncheon at the school followed by a dinner tonight for the last meeting of the CWL. No cooking for me today. Well I guess I can feed the kids something before I go.

We still have two weeks until our last day of school. Hannah still has a math test tomorrow....

thanks for the anniversary wishes, y'all! Time sure DOES fly!

Mony, if I were you, I'd check out the Budget Board thread I linked you to yesterday and see if anyone has created a youth group for August. That way, you won't have to wait for Open Enrollment...there'll be a program(s) offered for the youth group in accordance with whatever the group requests.

The people at the Y.E.S. office are SOOOO helpful! Especially Sarah. Maybe she could direct you to an existing group for August?

Pumba, the sun is shining here too, at last!

NAB, can you believe that Natasha's teacher is STILL giving homework??? Tomorrow is the last day of school!

Gotta get back to work...TTYL!

We were in Massachusetts on Saturday. Bradford or was it Haverill....We were at a restaurant on the Merrimac River I think they told us.....it would of been pleasant to look outside but the rain kept us in....I love the old houses with the wrap around porches and the stone walls.......that is always my favorite type of cities.

I may potentially be half back among the living after today, but only half!

DS is arriving tomorrow night! :cool1::love:

Lynette - Are you making her do the homework? ;)

Moo - You can have some of our sunshine. We haven't seen rain in over a week. Our heat index temps have been around 106 in town which means around 110 here inland. :scared1: If you are in the sun it's even hotter. Thankfully the last 2 days it has pretended to rain(clouds and storms) so at least it gave the AC a break from the sun. We cannot even get cool water from our cold water lines during the day. It's scalding to warm. Never cool. :headache:

I am going to be heading back to the Dr. today. Yesterday Ellie woke up from her nap sounding all raspy. She isn't really coughing at all, so I don't know what's up. It's going on 2 weeks now that she and Isaac are snotty. When she woke up in the middle of the night I couldn't tell if she is croupy or wheezy. She really only coughs when she gets upset, so hopefully it's just croupy. No fever.

morning morning morning...
The sun is out again and I love it....maybe I will sit in the back yard and read a book or something exciting..

NAB the second email returned to me again today.....are you sure you got one email with 7 attachments??? HAHAHA.

My DIL had the stomach virus and was sick as a dog all day yesterday and into the night......she couldnt even keep a teaspoon of water down....I TOLD her that if it continued to call her doctor cause she must be dehydrated....

Wonder what Jacob rugrat and I will do today....I dont have Ava so we can do alot or go for a walk or do something downtown even......we shall see......

I would love to see that guy in Peru confess up to where Natallee is in Aruba ...that would give that poor family closure .....I can not imagine in a million years what they must be going thru or the new family taht lost their daughter too......sad...

Hope there is light at the end of the tunnel for you Marita....My niece's little girl had to have a breathing treatment because she was coughing and wheezing for almost two weeks.......she was fine after one treatment.....Hope your baby is okey too...

HEY! I posted yesterday from school and its not here:confused3

MP: All of my kids have gotten the croup from time to time and usually there is a fever with croup, and a high one. Hope she is feeling better.

Lynette: Thanks for redirecting me to that thread cause I have been stewing about not being able to do that. Now I have a mission to get into a program!

;) School is now DONE! YAAAAY!!!!!!!!!! Both Boris and Natasha did exceptionally well, I'm happy to say. Boris ended up with FOUR A+ grades, which is (according to his teacher and the principal) VERY rare! And Natasha got all C's (which, in the bizarre marking system for her school, stands for "Consistently exceeds standards) What's also great is that Natasha and her BFF will be in the same 4th grade class in the Fall, AND Boris and his BFF (plus two other kids he's good friends with) will all be in the same 5th grade class! :woohoo::woohoo:

And now....let the summer BEGIN!

Mony, I hope you're able to find a group to join! We're so excited to take the class during our trip, and you really can't beat the savings on park tickets!

In other news, I am having some work done on the minivan today. $255 worth, to be precise. Not really how I wanted to spend that money, I tell you.

The Dr. said it was... ???. I even asked him to write it down. Can't even figure it out enough to google it. LOL. Anyhoo he said it was causing the croup and he gave her a steroid shot. Hopefully the stinking virus she has will leave so she can get all better.

MommyP - I hope little Ellie gets to feeling better soon. I can relate to the warm "cold" water too. That's the way it is in our bathroom because that is the side of the house where the sun sets, and it just bakes our brick, pipes, etc.

Mony
- wow your boys really know how to enjoy summer. Hopefully with that punishment, they will get along swimmingly for the rest of the summer. :goodvibes

Lynette
- Happy Belated Anniversary!! Glad you got to enjoy dinner with your sweetie. Your kids are just now getting done? We've been on summer vacation for almost a month. Of course, we will be going back the second week of August. :headache:

Dad got home from the hospital on Sunday, but there was a mixup between the hospital and the PT. Although, it got worked out, and he showed up at the house on Tuesday. Dad is doing REALLY well. Not having any pain at all. I think he is driven to make it to my niece's wedding, in CALIFORNIA, in July. :scared1::rotfl: All your prayers and good wishes worked! :thumbsup2

I have some REALLY GOOD NEWS, but I am going to have wait to tell you.:ssst: Oh, and DON'T say anything about it *over there*. ;)

Allie, NO FAIR! Come back and tell us NOW! popcorn::

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! Glad to hear that your dad is doing well. Yep...most towns around here end the school year in mid-June, and go back around Labor Day. My town is about a week ahead of lots of surrounding towns, so my kids will start back during the week before Labor Day.

MommyP, hope ALL the kids are feeling better soon. Maybe you're getting all your illnesses out of the way NOW so that y'all can be germ-free for a good long while!

Marita, has your son arrived yet? popcorn::

Heey all. I started sewing again, so I'll be around these parts for awhile cuz I need the disboutiquers to help me.

I got a contact for make a wish, so I'm going to start making clothes for wish kids trips to Disney.
only I'm horrible at it.
I've never done an applique and I've only made things for people I know who don't care if the insides are crazy looking. eek!

Allie - what's your news?

big L - I can't believe boris and natasha will be in the 5th and 4th grade! Everyone grows up too fast!!
