Hi Moooovers.

I joined Twitter just so I could check it out and keep up with my hip, young persona. *ahem*

I had the tweets sent to my phone as texts. I followed a few people. One of whom was the Colts player, Pierre Garcon. Idk how Pierre has anything to do all day because he is constantly tweeting. My youngest kids thought I was getting actual texts from Pierre though, so that made my cool mom factor go waaaayyy up. ha. What they don't know......

I thought you were going to say you were following Charlie. :lmao:

Can barely text , so twitter would be out of the question.

Pumba-- I didn't sleep well last night either. The wind was terrible and something was knocking on the house at times. Hubby was working night shift so I hear everything. Maybe you can get a nap this afternoon.

Today is Ash Wednesday. Nicholas is all worried they will make a huge mark and it will show up in his grad pics. Told him to tell them he is getting them done and not too. Or put them higher up. :confused3 If all fails I guess I get them touched up when I order them.

Did everyone have pancakes yesterday? We had chocolate chip ones.

It is retro day , Hannah has a tye Dye shirt on with a jean vest , her hair down...she looks like a hippy.

Good morning! :sunny:

So I'm only about 175 pages behind here so I'm not even going to pretend to skim. I'm here to say a BIG OLE THANK YOU to everyone for the nice birthday wishes!!! It was a very good birthday indeed.

We are progressing quickly with the house and construction is set to be finished by the end of the month. Hopefully. Since that's when I'm supposed to be out of my house. We have been painting every weekend and every single night after work for almost 3 weeks. They put the final coat on the hardwood floors on Thursday and the kitchen is being delivered this Wednesday. We are buying tile and plumbing fixture today. Phewwww. I'm exhausted.

OH! And we'll be getting married the last weekend of the month. I'm off all the next week to move. No honeymoon at the moment. Maybe later this year. (He's never been to Disney World! I KNOW!)

I'll post some pictures of the house either here or on FB when we get stuff moved in. It's still a frat house at the moment.....two guys (him and his son) living there for 10 years. You can imagine. I need to girl it up a bit before I take any photos.

Take care, everybody! Tell WT hi for me. Is he on FB? Or would he be risking the world knowing his true identity there?

:wave2:

I know this wasn't for me, per se, but I'm SOOOO happy for you! My man (Upgrade 3.0, LOL) who grew up in California, thought, and get THIS: that we could do Disneyland in a half a day...leaving the other 4 1/2 days of vacation for the beach. After staring at him for an awkwardly long time, I just poked his eyes out and lectured him.

I cant wait to see pics!

Hi there, WT!!! I was already married but moved out with the kids two years ago. Now moving on to Husband 2.0 (the new improved version).

I do find validity in FB and have reconnected with lots of old friends there (and friends from here too). The jury is still out on Twitter. Although I have joined there too, I don't "tweet". I just lurk and only occasionally.

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY, EVERYONE! :wave2:

I LOVE Facebook. I'm WAY cooler there than here.
Happy Hump day!

My tweets are just for joking purposes. Like: Hmmm what should I make for dinner? or, Is it Spring yet? (the laaaamer the better)

Celery- Thanks mama! I still hate Goofy. Maybe in time, he'll redeem himself. I always think of "his" impersonation of him and want to punch something.

BabyN and Lint- LOVE the glamour shot!

Hi, all - Back from a bit of a posting break . . .

bbn - Congrats on your tweet new skillz!!! I haven't taken the plunge yet. Can't decide on a username.

Wendy - You can just switch over to Pluto! :upsidedow I've always liked Pluto more than Goofy.

Nabbie - No pancakes for us, hubby doesn't like breakfast for dinner, but we did have some paczkis :)

Cel - Thanks for the mini trip report :thumbsup2

Marita - Any luck contacting Cel while she's at the World? She posted a cute photo over yonder today.

It's raining it's pouring.....

We at least now it is overnight too. But yesterday we had it all , snow , freezng rain now rain.

Nicholas was hoping for a snow day. All around us it is but not our town. :confused3

Moo-- we love breakfast at supper. Had eggs last night because we could have meat for on Ash Wed. Hubby doesn't mind especially if he is just getting up and working night shift. I never could understand how he could eat supper with us on those days.

I will have to go check out Celery's picture. On our morning show one of the host was at Magic Kingdom today. He was talking to someone about the expansion of FanastyLand. He said it will be double the size and they had drawing of it . Looked cool. They said if you ride Dumbo you can see some of the building already up if you look over the fence.

Today at school is hat day. Hannah is taking her mickey ears that she made in Disneyland last summer. She is pretty excited. And with the rain they will probalby be indoor recesses today.

morning everyone.

IT is getting ready to do the rain dance too......its like the mud season is upon us already......we still have two or three feet of snow in areas and then where hubby made the race track for Megara around the whole back yard...it is MUD...oh well...soon as it drys up the grass will be green there....

We saw another house that we are asking for the disclosure info on.....it is a nice looking ranch with almost an acre...we will ask for a showing after we see the disclosure sheet on it...BUT we know that if this isnt a good one ...there will be plenty of them coming out now that spring is in the air...well almost...

Ava just got dressed and is watching guppies.....KT and her boyfriend are coming for lunch....she asked for MAC AND CHEESE.....so have to make that later.....they love it for some reason.......but I will make it for them..

have a good morning everyone

So someone let me know who sent me the mystery PM. I saw some of you on the PM list. I'm confused.

I am planning yet another pretendbuthopefullynotforlong Disney trip! Our annual passes expire May 25th, so it would be plain stupid not to use them again. Right? Right? Right?

Chad is almost on board, but as always not quite. He said,"I guess I have no choice." Which is totally not fair to me and makes me out to be the exact opposite of the Proverbs 31 wife. I can't help it that I have to do all the planning because I have no life and he doesn't like planning ahead. If it was up to him we would never plan anything, just decide one day to leave the next and obviously have to spend more money doing so. That's dumb.

I am over staying on site though. Disney hotels just don't hold anything for us. The "magic" isn't the same anymore, so I'm not paying those prices for so little. We've moved on to bigger and better things, BONNET CREEK!

You can rent a 2 bedroom, 7 nights there for $499-$699. (going by the dates we want that are being rented on e-bay right now) Actually the $699 is for a 3 bedroom. Can you say 4 pools, 2 lazy rivers, 2 slides and the coolest baby splash area ever? Go ahead, say it.

So now I have to wait for DH to ask for a time off sheet and see if it's going to be possible to get time off. Because unlike with a hotel, there are no refunds.

It's a rainy day and I am about to go crazy.

And

We lost a rooster yesterday. Literally. He didn't come back for lock down last night, or lock down happened before he came back. Either way, we are down to 4, we are gonna eat em.

How is everyone?

Mommy P-- do they really just come back to the pen at night? Interesting. When you say your going to eat em. Does that mean all the chicks. I thought they were pets.

Not much new here , just a lot of rain. Really sick of it now. Everything is really slushie out there with the resent snow. You need rain boots on to keep you feet dry but with the snow you feet are cold. Can't win.

I need to get some cleaning done. Hannah is having a sleep over tomorrow night and don't want the girls going back to their mothers saying my house is a wreck. :lmao: Hubby says I am crazy to worry about 10 year old girls , they won't even notice.

Nab - When bought 15 as little chicks and 5 of them are roosters. So we are going to get together with my sister and her family(they are into fishing and hunting so I figured my BIL would be a good choice for our first slaughter) and "process" the roosters and then maybe the next weekend eat them together.

I worked in a Chicken plant for almost 4 years but never in the slaughter part. It freaked me out when a odd head would go down the line. :scared1: They had a person there to make sure it was done in a humane way. :confused3 I didn't want to know.....

Your chicks must be pretty big by now. It seems like you have had them awhile. Do the chickens being on you land make other animals come out looking for them?

Still raining here so I decided to make a cake, it warmed up the house and smells good too.

The chicks are 12 weeks now. The biggest roosters are just about the same size as our rhode island red hens, but maybe not as heavy.

We have lots of animals coming around at night, but not during the day.

As some of you already saw, I had a mini-meet lunch with Cel today. Gave up a perfect opportunity to call in sick, LOL. Work is really slow right now, and it was raining cats and dogs this morning, YUCK!

We had lunch at the Riverside food court and Cel decided to have the pasta station too. I had to laugh, she decided all the optional add-ins sounded good, so she said she wanted them all. I usually get about 75% of them myself. My figure is NOT thanking me at all. I really should go on a diet. I've never been on a diet in my LIFE!!!

Pumba, we can have a mini meet if you want, or just an "accidental run-in". LOL. Just let me know.

MP, I am kind of rooting for the rooster, the cooking pot doesn't sound like a great fate for him. But I guess being out in the wild has its dangers too.

Got to see the new Alligator Bayou model room today. I like it much better than the old rooms. Plus the trundle beds will now be sort of fold out beds, like Murphy beds. Still for small children, but much better than the "pull out from under the bed" version.

Marita-- yeah for the mini meet with Celery. We have been having rain all day too.

I can"t see where they would put a murphy bed in one of those rooms. Only place there would be room would block the door and you can't do that. What if there was a fire. The trundle bed never got in the way. The kids loved it.

Nab, the Murphy bed is where the armoire was. The TV is on top and there are drawers in the bottom. It's all made to look like a big wooden box. I didnt really see it folded out but for a second, so I dont really know how much room there is between it and the other beds, but It has to be enough to satisfy fire codes.

Marita - Too bad you can't share a photo of the refurbished room! Will have to wait until they have it on-line somewhere :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a nice lunch with Cel :thumbsup2

MP - I stayed at Bonnet Creek with Cel a few years back. Pretty nice! Hope they have a site-wide non-smoking policy like WDW now though. It wasn't a problem when we went because the resort was still really new (the room had obviously been smoked in based on burn marks on the bathroom counter), but we also stayed at a different Wyndham resort (Star Island) and weren't able to get a non-smoking room. It was pretty stinky.

DD and her BF went to the Hilton Head DVC resort last weekend to celebrate their one year anniversary (of dating). I got them a great cash rate. They got an upgrade from a studio to a two bedroom! We just talked with Mari tonight to hear a bit more about their trip. They did a lot driving around the island this time and went to a restaurant that I suggested based on some DVC members' recommendations (Signe's Bakery) and really liked it. They sent us a thank you gift of three different mini-pound cakes from there. Very yummy!

morning.

POURING RAIN HERE.........flooding going on around the state......BUT we dont have to shovel this.......but we have had our share this year with snow and rain....

We heard from the realtor on one place we wanted to see and the key will be in town probably next week.....just have to sit and wait......figured out the good parts and the bad parts of this type of house.....we shall see.

Today is Friday and dont forget to do our clocks this weekend .....I like it to be lighter later but it does a number on my sleep......hahaha...

See ya later gators

Pumba -- I said the same thing to my husband last night. Good thing we do not have to shovel this. And it is a mix of rain and big snowflakes this morning.

That earthquake in Japan was awful this morning and poor Hawaii is on tsunami alert. The weather has been really bad this year.

The same TV I talked about being at Magic Kingdom is on the Dream this morning and he was showing pictures. Can't wait.

Marita-- still can't picture it having room. Well have to wait to see it in person or someones trip report.

I am betting there will be a lot not at school today since March Break is next week. A lot going away.

Today is Spring or Bright colours days at school. Hannah is bright. She has a neon green shirt and a green grass coloured skirt on with black leggings. It is some combo but she likes it so what are you going to do. She is also wearing her hair up in a bun on the top of her head with a tiara she got at BBB years ago.

my nephews inlaws are in Japan.....but they live on the sw side so they were not affected......I have some cute little American/Japanese great nieces ....they are adorable ...The two little girls talk fluently in Japanese and English and go to a Japanese school on Saturdays....oops almost forgot they also learn Spanish at their regular school...Living in Texas is a good idea I guess.

Raining still very heavy here....Ava is sleeping and I just ate three pieces of candy corn......I know its not much but I found the pkg that I hid after Halloween......yummy they were sure good.

see you later gators

We have some very dear friends that live in Japan. We met them years ago when my husband worked for a Japanese company and they moved to the U.S. for a few years during the start up operations.

At Christmas we always exchange boxes of goodies. Ours are full of typical "American" treats, trinkets, magazines, tshirts etc, and theirs to us are full of typical "Japanese" fare. Their daughter and our kids LOVE getting their stuff each year.

My husband has not been able to reach them as yet, but we are hoping that they are ok. If you think about it keep them in your prayers. Thanks!

Nab: No, I am NOT following Charlie on Twitter. lol Although I bet it makes for some interesting tweets.

Happy Friday, y'all! It's been raining cats, dogs and maybe small farm animals here for most of the day. ;) But like some others said...no need to shovel rain, so I'm good!

Week #2 at Le New Job, and I am still waiting for the other (crazy) shoe to drop. New Bossman is so easy to work for, and he keeps sending me home with samples and goodies. :goodvibes I worked mostly from home today, and just ducked into the office for about an hour to make sure everything was going smoothly in Bossman's absence (he's at a trade show in CA until next Wednesday).

Still raining here so I decided to make a cake, it warmed up the house and smells good too.

NAB, I did some baking today too. It did a good job of taking some of the dampness out of the house, and we got to have delish brownies for dessert today. :)

BBN, I'll keep your friends in my prayers. I can't believe the devastation in Japan...so awful! And now with 3 nuclear plants in a state of emergency, it's really getting scary.

Also, I've had a Twitter account for over a year, but I am more of a lurker than a tweeter. I have found some pretty funny people to follow, and some bloggers that are pretty interesting to read too.

What's everyone up to this weekend? popcorn::
