Wendee....my boy doesn't have the hang of the heelies either. He's tried and tried but to no avail.

Speak of the devil....look who camouflaged himself to hide in his own bedroom.

Lexi -- love the red walls and the Harry Potter and Spiderman poster. Nicholas has Toronto Maple Leaf Blue walls with Hockey posters on one side and Johny Depp and a pirate flag on the other.

Nicholas wanted heelys bad too but only had them on twice and was afraid of falling. Good thing I didn't buy them my sister did for his birthday one year.

Hi Tammy-- school picture are tricky because all the grades can't do their pictures at the same time some one has to go after lunch. It is the luck of the draw. Besides I buy the bad and the good., I have some scary school pictures....:lmao:

the kids started school in our area the 28th of August........the reasoning behind this was to get more school days out and if we had snow days we could get out early......well joe ....this is Maine and we had our fair share of the dreaded white stuff.......they at least had school today even with all this snow.

The good egg, even though part was a post I did once on the recipe board......I have a sweet lady that is on SS and has a farm ....I get my eggs from her and because they are free range the eggs are not washed.......so I mentioned on the food board that I wash my eggs before I put it in water to make macaroni salad (I throw the macaroni in when it boils) so the eggs are done when the macaroni is done.....easy .well my eggs had some hen poop on it.....but I said.."a good egg" even though it had bird poop on it...

I made that dreaded cake and ate some......I should go for my blood tests on Satuday AM ....I do it on saturdays because I have a 14 hour fast and I will starve to death if I had to walk there and back......so hubby will rescue me and bring me home fast.......

I finished 2 outfits today.

Here's the decoupage jeans that I recycled since they had a hole in the knee and were wayyyyy too short!

This actually was the first picture. I told her I'd just post pictures of her diva fit on the computer...she INSTANTLY stopped:

OH! And you are welcome for today's birth control!

Thank you and have a nice day!

:wave2: How was everyone's day?

Moo...thanks for sharing the puppy pics but please keep any further poopscicle information to yourself. :scared: Jk!!

Lexi...yes, we got more snow here but we didn't delay or close. A snow day today would have been awesome!

BBN...I found a small child after your heart today. We were having a conversation about living things and what they need to survive. So the kids are saying things like food, water, air. One little girl raises her hand and she says "bacon double cheeseburgers." I sort of laughed and her face got so serious and in a decidedly grown up voice she just looked at me and said "Miss Lauren, I'm not kidding. I'm pretty sure everyone needs bacon double cheeseburgers to survive." The seriousness of her tone was priceless. She really wasn't kidding!!! How much would that have shattered her if I told her I've never had a bacon double cheeseburger and I've been around 22 years! :rotfl:

Tomorrow we're going on a field trip to the museum. My teacher asked me if I wanted to be in charge of the first, second, or third graders. I picked second graders. I decided the first graders, while they are the cutest, are too easily distracted and the third graders have an attitude and don't follow directions. There's 10 second graders. It should be a fun trip.

I need to find dinner....

OK, OK, I will buy a new bathing suit, geesh!

Lynette, yes, I am going to leave my couch for 3 days:scared1:

Wendy, great pics. Love the way that girl of yours can pose at such an early age, LOL. Love the outfits too. I am no longer in need of birth control pics, but I am sure it will do the job for those that do.

Moo, love the puppy pics.

Happy Birthing Day to Pumba! :flower3:

Happy Non-Birthing But Wonderfu Mama Day to Twink! :cake:

Twinkie, Who cares if your bonus son is your's by blood or not???? The simple fact is that you're the one who wipes his brow when he's running a fever, comforts him when he's upset...and is there to soothe his nightmares and what have yous. Anybody can be a mother or a father...but it takes a real woman to be a mom and a real man to be a dad.
Very well said, Tammy!!!

Crazybossman has developed a new irritating habit. He shuts the overhead lights off, citing overly high electric bills. Yeah, that's okay....I can do without such fancy-ness. After all, who needs to actually SEE to do one's work? :sad2: Help!
So I guess I should consider myself fortunate that they only took away most of the lighting in our elevator lobbies

Speak of the devil....look who camouflaged himself to hide in his own bedroom.

I need to find dinner....
Request noted!!! Pumba started it by talking about 'em though (although it's been quite a while back :rotfl2:

Dinner?

How about a Baby Ruth? Or a Tootsie Roll . . .

I had THE best dessert tonight at Max & Erma's - banana cream pie. Yummmmmmm!

Oh yes, I forgot, dooh!

Happy birthing day to Pumba and happy getting a great teen to Twinkie!

Twink!!!! Sup, my sistah?

I spent an enormous portion of my childhood on roller skates too. The ones with the big ol' honkin' stopper in the front. If memory serves, mine were a lovely shade of purple with teal wheels and stopper. Stunning, to be sure.

Need some Martha Mojo? Here, catch: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
Thanks for the mojo- it worked. :thumbsup2 Purple with teal wheels? wow. I am so conservative- mine where white with the hot pink wheels. New roller skates where the standard birthday gift and their where entire summers where my mom left sandwiches out on the porch so we wouldn't have to take our skates off to go inside and eat.

While on those skates, don't forget the purple and white pipped shorts, the enormous boom box playing your one and only overplayed Van Halen tape in your back yard with the neighborhood girls. Some of the boys might have come over and they watched while shooting some baskets.
Yes! I had the shorts- several pair actually- my favorite where yes you guessed it- hot pink. Also the boom box but no Van Halen tape- it was Duran Duran and "borrowed" from my BFF's older sister.

Where's waldo? Hee hee. I do see him. My DSbirthdayboy must be old enough to have escaped the Heelie-Craze. Never asked for them...

1. Brillant idea! I wish I was crafty- do you know how many size 4 slim jeans I just put in a box because they were too short and had holes in the knees? H
2. Hahahahahahaha! Zoolander!!!!!!
3. Hey- that crib o' plush looks eerily familiar.
Happy Birthing Day to Pumba! :flower3:

Happy Non-Birthing But Wonderfu Mama Day to Twink! :cake:

Thanks Moo and everyone else who sent well wishes. We had a really nice day. Now to get ready for the "real" celebration aka friend party :faint:

1. Glad the mojo came thru for you. And yes, purple and teal. Plus, I may or may not have had purple striped legwarmers which provided a lovely accent to the ensemble. The height of chic.

2. Oh, sure. Any of us who are "of an age" had the shorts and the boombox, Twink. But did you have the extra-super-ginormous skate laces (featuring your name or snappy little saying)? Huh? Didya?

3. What did Bonus Son get for his birthday?

I found out today that the ship has free wireless all over the ship.

But guess what, I am NOT going to bring my laptop, hee hee hahaha hoho!

3 days without both work and internet friends.... what a concept!

We got our actiity guides today, I havent even had a chance to look yet.

RE: the old bathing suit, BFF says spandex holds up very well :rotfl: But then he is a male...... We shall see after the washing. And for a coverup he suggested a Burqa

NO! super-ginormous skate laces with pithy comments? I never had 'em. I did have the tank top with the satin applique of a roller skate with flaming wings.

I had black skates. I don't even remember if they had stoppers.

Hi, Twinkie!

I rented my skates at the roller rink. But "we" did take homemade yarn pompoms to tie onto our rental skates back in the day.

Burqa, Marita? Nice friend! :rolleyes1 Your figure puts lots of people's to shame!

And we'll chew you out if you post here while on your cruise :lmao:

And we'll chew you out if you post here while on your cruise :lmao:

As well you should! If I can't stay busy on the cruise, shame on me!

Oh, and my brother called today. Mom is probably going to a rehab facility on Tuesday. Doing better, but still not up to par. Not up to phone conversations. But she started walking with a rolling walker thingie half the hallway, at least, so there is some progress.

OK, I better go to bed, frigging forecast! Beurk!

:goodvibes ..ha, ha, you gals..are too sweet!

ok, not that i know very much...just over opinionated...

food for thought[ well, i want you to pay attention...],

..i agreed with the school board rallying behind..the school
bus driver...* you have the constitutional right to defend &
her being a student..gave her no right...to assault. also her
verbal assault..& rationizating...were to provoke & to manipulate..
as if she had the right to hit. no ! young lady..you should go to
jail. however, it was confusing..to understand her motivation..
until the driver 's daughter...acted... my guess....this was her
motivation..to get back at the driver's daughter..for a reason
unknown.

* then the 911..call, very obvious..the caller was filing a
false report...noticed.he called the driver a name?
obviously...trying to support the attacker..by making up
false ascusations..they should file charges...in this area to!

why?..all is needed is a person....able to evulate all the facts &
the meanings..behind the behaviors..to guide what our schools
should be addressing...for corrective measures..and to prevent
wrong doings. ps, is anyone else..alarm...@ the sheriff office
wanting charges..* once she assaulted the driver/first , verbal
then punching...its over!...[ ps, if anyone has a "sue" case,
i'll be ruling in the driver favor. ]

intersting comments..that dr. p., could not be held accountable
for his mal -practice..show..cos its entertainment. while thats true,
this is also very disturbing..becos..his "victims"..are real people..
& becos..the audience..are not warned..that his "show" is for only
entertainment? warning: not a real show..and the "guests" are
actors? ...this lack of responsibility...in my opinion..is damaging
to those not being warn.

ok...it just what i am thinking...not that its important or anything.
but, i hope...we do a lil'better...with public relations.

GOOG MORNING!

No time to chat. School today....thank you, God.

Wendee....LOVE the outfits and the Zoolander pose. Good you got the tantrum picture or people would never believe that sweet angel even cries. I still say you need some mother/daughter outfits or dresses.

Marita....3 days without your imaginary friends? Better take the computer...just in case.

Moo, Twink, NAB....Thanks for finding the disappearing boy in red. NAB...his walls are painted "Daredevil" red and covered with movie/pokemon posters!

Twink....Hope the bonus kid had a wonderful birthday. You know, I too, have a 14 year old. I hope the boys are easier than the girls.

Lynette, PJ, Lil G, and everybody
....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Lex: I found your ninja, although I had to look really close.;)

Utah: I love the "Zoolander" pics of Norah. Too cute!

Pumba: I hope you had a lovely Birthing Day!

Twinks: I hope you had a happy "I Didn't Give Birth But Love You Just the Same Day".

Marita: At least the bathing suit isn't 20 years or older, b/c THAT would be completely unacceptable.:rotfl:

Moo: Sorry about the toe.:guilty:

Snarkgirl: When do we get to be regaled with Marthaesque stories? What's next? St. Patty's Bash? Lali's bday? A Derby party?

Ali: It's too cold here to have any outdoor ball practice. I wish it were warmer, but I will TRY to be patient.

NAB: Ethan has a Colts room. He wanted to paint the walls Colts blue, but I thought it might be too dark. He would LOVE to see Nicholas' room.

LilG: I think I will agree with your assesment. well put.

Tammy: No more snow sounds great to me.

Monica: How's the treadmill'ing going? Keep up the goog work.

PJ: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE bacon cheeseburger girl. She sounds like a freakin' genius. FYI, I will love anybody who buys me a bacon cheeseburger for the rest of my natural life and quite possibly into the hereafter. The way to a bbn's heart is via a bacon cheeseburger.

I am going to leave you this morning with some words of wisdom from the redhead, age 7.
This came directly from his journal at school. And I quote:

"I enjoy coke. Pinata are hard to make. my guitar is brown. I am wonderful. My bee stung my brothe. he scremd like a girl. I laugh. He puncht me. it hurt. I need a quarter. before the ny giants won I got a snack."

Gosh his writings are so random, almost like he's free associating or sumpthin. Wonder where he gets that from?:rolleyes1

morning all....

Now poopsicles was a long time ago....and I am not in charge of them anymore....hubby has been going out and going around the back yard......where he snowblows a path around the yard .....we usually know that it is in Megaras pooping corner.....yes we call it that......

I have a tickle in my throat......I hope that I am not going to get it......please let it not be it.....we are supposed to have a double birthday party here on Sunday for daughter and daughter in law......I like to make the family a dinner and then we have birthday cake.....I thought this year we would have strawberry short cake cause the strawberries are on sale too...cant do a turkey dinner because daughter in law is having her turkey today. Yes we have a Turkey day any time of the year .....

I slept in this morning.....had a horrible nightmare about trying to find the airport line. I didnt have my tickets and hubby already went thru....so I was hysterical........then I said to myself......I had better hurry up with this dream and get a good outcome cause I think it is time to get up.....I do that alot to my dreams.....get a happy ending and then wake up......

Wendy your little princess;s outfits are just adorable.....you did a great job and your little princess is a sweetie.......I could hug her to pieces..

Speaking of dog pooh, after the big snow melt coming up, we have a crapload of pooh to pick up or bury. Good Times.

Crapload definition: the amount of pooh generated by 2 HUGE golden retriever dogs after a long, cold winter.

Pumba- thanks. She'd let you hug her to pieces too!

Twinki- I'm buying size 5 slim jeans now (for Norah, not me of course. I wish!)

Everyone
- thanks for the nice comments. The jeans and jumper are all the rage on the sewing thread. To conform, I'd also need to do a huge matching hair bows and matching peasant top. She got the Zoolander poses from me and Jordan. We do the exact same face but name it differently.
