Omelettes sound yummy, Twink. But I hope none of your DS's friends are allergic to eggs. You might want to check. It's a pretty common allergy :)

I second that remark,Moo.

I think I am going to log into work and issue an invite (on own dime of course) for our regional team to go out to lunch tomorrow. That should kill a couple of hours.

Two weeks from cruise time, Marita? Moo Hoo!

YAY!!! can't wait

Only thing that sucks is that Dh has to work the nght before we board from midnite till 10am, so he won't even b be home till 11 or so, and we won't get to the ship til 3 or 4, and then he will be too tired to do anything. But the kids and I will have fun at least.

GOOG MORNING!

HAPPY LEAP DAY & TGIF! :woohoo:

Marita....I see there is now a thread about your new suit! So you're officially getting one?? And memory issues? I don't recall you having mentioned that. Oh...and the eggs sound goog.

BNCG....That redhead is the cutest! I love his random thought pattern and I love even more that he actually writes it down. Getting my DS to write in his journal is total hell.

Twink....39 eggs for middle schoolers will not be enough. If it was me I'd prolly stick to pancakes or French toast. Everybody likes their eggs a different way here at our house....too complicated.

Lynette, Wendee, Moo, and other moovers..........:wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY!

Really? I guess for scrambled eggs I would agree. I hate not having enough food. We are making omelettes in ziploc baggies- ever done that? it is DS's favorite meal (well besides fried chicken, fried shrimp or a nice filet mignon  ) I am glad I posted about this because I just remembered that I forgot to buy quart size ziplocs- I can pick up another dozen eggs when I get those.

I am so glad he decided on an all you eat pizza buffet- at least dinner should be taken care of- and we bought the appropriate amount of candy, chips, popcorn and soda to last through the wee hours of the morning.

He also chose Superbowl Pie in lieu of a traditional birthday cake. Kind of nice since DH had the flu during the superbowl so we didn't make our traditional smorgasboard of snacks.

The little twinkies want to decorate with pink streamers and feel so sad that we are not doing goodie bags.

OK- where are all the MIA peeps? abducted by aliens? making crop circles for leap day?

Hi y'all. Sup?

Wendy: I noticed, but luckily the redhead does not read here. He MIGHT be offdended. lol

Snarkgirl: Ty for the clarifying things.

Twink:
Love the commercial. Your posting link skillz are truly mad.

Lex: He has to write in a journal at school. This is why I have his ramblings. They bring them home at the end of each month. I should have just pretended he wrote in a journal at home, shouldn't I? Maybe it would counterbalance my juice box way of mothering. ;)

Marita:
thanks for sharing that recipe. It sounds yummy. Hey, did y'all know that you get a free breakfast burrito at McDonalds today cuz it's Leap Year. Probably too late for breakfast now though. Maybe it would have helped if I posted that yesterday.

Moo: Did you say pancakes? LOVE pancakes. ALMOST as much as bacon cheeseburgers. After careful consideration, I might love pancakes even more. If you really want to get on my good side buy me pancakes and a bacon cheeseburger. You'll be gold.

Have a nice rest of your day everybody!

I found it!!! The AT&T scrabble ad- I thought of you ALL when I first saw this:rotfl:

Click on the RoTFLing smilie to see it ;)

OMG(osh)! I love that commercial! Misty is a texter. I can tell by reading her.
When I text, I write out each word and punctuate. :rolleyes1

PS we also subscribe to the milk-your-birthday-for-all-it-is-worth philosophy

Tomorrow is DSbonusboy's friend party. We will be hosting 5 teenage boys for a "slumber" party.

I asked him if they were going to do makeovers, have pillow fights and talk about who is cute. The resulting eye roll was impressive.

Instead we will go out for dinner at Pizza Planet (Ok so that isn't the real name, but that is what I call it),then settle in for hours of movies and video games. I am cooking brunch the next morning. How many eggs do we need for 5 teenagers, 3 twinkie children and 2 adults?

Ooooh, makeovers! All you can eat pizza is a great call. We do omelettes in a ziplock bag when we camp. You are a brave mama to host a slumber party. I'd rather be locked in a car with a sleeping mother badger.

At least 39 eggs sounds good. That is a good call too!

I wanna come! I could be your over the hill ultra un-cool mom-friend who tries to be cool. I'll bring my CD's.

I wish you were coming!!!! And BBN too- who will keep me company on the midnight run for Doritos, Sugar, Girls, and Whiskey?

Once I got over the shock of needing 39 eggs (I agreed with his calculations btw) it is a (relatively) cheap, easy and fun way to feed a crowd.

Even easier if you have a publix near you - they have pre diced veggies for sale. Woo! Love them!

I don't get this. Please explain.

:scared: What CDs?

I only use "u" or "r" when I've run out of room and don't want to start a whole new message just to say "You."
I use proper punctuation as well. I have a full keyboard on my bat phone. :cool2:

Good Morning, Moovers!

Well, I woke up to the alarm this morning and thought, "why did I set the alarm? Today is Saturday, thank God!"
So I turned it off and went back to sleep. Woke up at 10 am. :scared1:

So I called the boss and asked if I could work from home today. He said, "i guess...."

So I was actually "at work" by 10:15", earlier than my normal 10:30, AND saved 1 1/2 hours of travel, the cost of gas, lunch, and $5 in tolls!

Missing Moover reporting in. It's been a busy week and I'm still tired from the weekend. But been off today.
Concave was a blast. The Disney gang hung together a lot. I probably should have not had the shot of tequila Friday. That stuff is poison. But while getting a beer, the bartender asked us to have a shot with him. Later, the barkeep at the Japanese party offered me sake. Left there and met a real Japanese gal and the biohazard party. The drink of choice there, of which I had several, was a green concoction indelicately called alien piss.

The rest of the evening is fuzzy. I was much more restrained Saturday, aand Sunday I just hung out all day. Till we all went to Cave City to eat and dispersed from there.
Marita- about your dog, are you an Ogden Edsel fan? As in Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun.
BBN and Lexi- KY State Fair is Aug 14-24 this year. Make your plans now. Or at the last minute. I should be there again so I can be at WDW again, likely the last week of Oct.
Allie- Our plan is to eat in Athens about 6 next Friday. Lawler's of course. Love to see you there.
One of the nurses at work told me she is planning a week after Christmas trip to the world. Staying at ASMovies. She's was a cm in the 70's and goes back about every 3 years. Still, I don't think she knows what she's geting into. I asked which park for NYE and she said she hadn't considered it.:scared1:
It's rained all day so I'm doing laundry and cleaning house, so I better get back to it. SSSSSSSeeeeee yyyyyaaaa!!!

DTD, never heard of him/it. :confused3

Have fun cleaning house. Sing the happy working song!

Happy Friday, MOOvers! I'm at work today (ick), and instead of my usual in-early, out-early Friday, I came in at noon and will be stuck here until 4-ish. Came in late because Natasha had a school concert this morning. What a hoot! Each class had their own song to sing plus a poem to recite, and then the entire group sang several songs together. Oh, the talent! :rotfl:

Today's annoying Crazybossman antics include a 30-minute rant about the office electric bill (yup, sitting in the dark again :sad2: ) and a lengthy and painful (for me) discussion about how he and his wife are trying to conceive a baby. This is imagery I just ought not to have in my head. KWIM? :scared:

I was hoping I could drum up some interest in a chat for later. Any takers?

Hey, I am up for chat!

Kid concert sounds like fun.

Yikes on the crazy boss conceiving idea. Those things should not be discussed in mixed company at the office, IMO.
Maintenance did a midnight raid on all the offices last year to collect space heaters towards goal of attaining a 5% reduction in energy consumption. Luckily, they also fixed the heating system so it has not been an ice box so far.

Our weather was high of like 60 the last 2 days, which is freezing to us FLoridians. Back to 72 today.

I have been working on a reconciliation for like 6 hours between yesterday and today, I dont know why it is taking me forever, it should be easy. Just having to change layouts of downloads for information, too technical. Anyway, if boss asks what worked on from work today, it will sound very flimsy!

BigL, what do you do for work anyway? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think I am going to run to the store and get some food.

LEXI, a new bathing suit may or may not be in my future, depending on my shopping mood and/or the outcome of said old suit from the washing machine.

meds have been called in for hubby and myself and daughter has her husbands called in too.....this is for the flu influenza.....I started last night with a head cold and tickle in my throat.....dont know if it is it or a cold....but because of hubby and myselfs medical stuff.....they do not want to take a chance so we are in for meds......My daughter has had the flu for a week and the doctor said she could not get any meds.. Plus she showed up as a negative because she is on the down hill slide.......I just do not want to be sick.....I hate it.

:
Ah young padawan- let me explain. This is all part of my brilliant plan.To elementary and middle school students- parents are deaf, blind and dumb as long as they are engaging in some "mindless" activity like driving or cooking. So, I will stay up late chopping veggies and dicing ham oh so quietly in the kitchen. The youngsters will play their video games and watch their movies in the family room and after a while I will have more knowledge of what is "going on" than in a hundred heartfelt talks with DS.
Missing Moover reporting in. Marita- about your dog, are you an Ogden Edsel fan? As in Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun.
DTD- thanks for checking in! Did you go to math camp too? Ogden Edsl was a popular one for campfire singalongs.... haven't thought about that in years and now that song is stuck in my head

Here is a link Marita:Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun

Maybe. If I am not hiding in my closet..., I can bring the laptop into the closet:thumbsup2
Yikes, Pumba, sending you some pixiedust:

Me too! I hope you all feel better Pumba!

I'm sorry to hear about all the  at the Pumba household.

Twinkie: I'm in for a Dorito's run. call me anytime.

Snarkgirl: Tell crazybossman your imaginary friend, babynurse1, would be happy to discuss fertility issues with him. The things I do for you people. idk if I'll be around to chat. My computer has been acting wonky.

Marita EliSabeth: As much as I hate shopping, even I would spring for a new bathing suit for a cruise! C'mon. Splurge! Go crazy! Get a bikini! How about a tankini?

DTD: Are we meeting at the KY state fair again? Same time, same place? I'll be the one with the cheese fries and the bacon cheeseburger.;)

Celery: :snooty: (we have an image to keep up, remember?)
