Snarkgirl: When do we get to be regaled with Marthaesque stories? What's next? St. Patty's Bash? Lali's bday? A Derby party?

PJ: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE bacon cheeseburger girl. She sounds like a freakin' genius. FYI, I will love anybody who buys me a bacon cheeseburger for the rest of my natural life and quite possibly into the hereafter. The way to a bbn's heart is via a bacon cheeseburger.

I am going to leave you this morning with some words of wisdom from the redhead, age 7.
This came directly from his journal at school. And I quote:

"I enjoy coke. Pinata are hard to make. my guitar is brown. I am wonderful. My bee stung my brothe. he scremd like a girl. I laugh. He puncht me. it hurt. I need a quarter. before the ny giants won I got a snack."

Gosh his writings are so random, almost like he's free associating or sumpthin. Wonder where he gets that from?:rolleyes1

BBN, the next gala here at the Lalijack household is Easter. Followed 3 days later by Lali's b-day (seven! how the helk did THAT happen?!). There will be stories, I assure you.

Something tells me that if that road to your heart is built on bacon cheeseburgers, it's lined with cheese fries. Yes?

That redhead is a peculiar one. In a goog way, natch. Isn't it funny what you can learn from a kid's school journal? :rolleyes1

Lynette- Our next gala is Riley's "friend party". We know how to milk a birthday. There's the actual birthday (the 25th), the family dinner, the cupcakes taken to his class, then the friend party. When Lali turns 7, you'll have to change the number in your siggie.

BBN- I love the Redhead! How cute is she? She even spelled Puncht right!

I'm in time out right now. Me. It was that or unleash some rage on Pissy. She asked for some milk and when I handed it to her, she refused to take it BECAUSE THE SIPPY CUP DIDN'T MATCH HER PURPLE SHIRT! So I gently set (slammed) the pink cup down and left the room. And here I am. Sitting in the "naughty chair"

I love school journals and anything else written by children. Reminds me of the birthday cards written by my daughters- one very verbose and the other was as follows:

Dear Dad,
I love you. I like cheese. Love, Princess Twink
:rotfl2:

The girls got "secret" diaries for their birthday. They write in them every night with bright pink glittery gel pens, then lock them, place them in their private bedside table drawer and then proceed to tell each other exactly what they wrote.

Utah- 5 slim! I guess there is no point in sending you the girls clothes. I just moved them into 6s across the board. They basically skipped size 5 but I have a huge box of 4s. Also Goldenchild sprouted overnight- I just bought him an entire new wardrobe size 3T (he will be 3 in May) and it fits perfectly- not too big at all. I bet he will need 4Ts this fall.

Lex- re 14 year olds.... ack~! that is all I have to say about that ;) I just keep telling myself that one day I will have 4 teenagers in the house so this is easy, right?

Sage Advice of the Day
Don't have ninja children. Goldenchild has perfected scaling the cupboards and found my secret stash of candy. He just came in with a tootsie roll pop and some gum which he declares is "wucky."

Thanks Twinkee. Actually I kinda like time out. 40 minutes (one minute per year!) of sewing and listening to All My Children. Jordan is home lest anyone thinks she's running amuk. The 2 daycare darlings are napping.

Dang, I'm gonna miss the Twinkie hand me downs!

okay, I'm off to sew. I have 2 more outfitz to make. Pictures to follow. YAY! popcorn::

Yesterday while making perogies Mal was pressing the seems with a fork, and she went to hand me the perogie and I wasn't there she dropped it while I was walking toward her and my step perfectly matched where the perogie landed. Wasn't pretty. The perogie.

So no 3 second rule, I'm guessing? :sad1:

So? What's for dinner?

How's the weather?

Good TV on tonight, I think.

Misty! I need to borrow some 1/4 inch elastic, about 18 inches of it. By borrow, I mean, take yours and forget I owe you anything. Fair?

I'm almost done with my peasant top/ paisley capris pants. popcorn::
Stay tuned. Or not.

1. Wendy, yep on prolonging all b-days. And may I remind you of my post from several weeks ago, when I mentioned to Twink that Lali has been planning her b-day since September? BTW, if I leave my siggie as is, will that prevent her from growing up? *sniffle*

2. Uh, though adorable and sweet-faced, BBN's redhead is a boy. Just saying.

3. Nice. Does Pissy want to be BFF's with Lali, who cannot POSSIBLY leave the house unless her socks match her shirt and her and her emergency beauty kit is in her backpack? (Yeah, that's for real. Since kindergarten, she's had a little purse inside her backpack with a lip balm, hairbrush, purse pack of tissues and an extra hair band. Lord, please give me strength for the teen years!)

Lynette, pray tell, from whom did she did learn the importance of matching?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Wendy, my dinner was frozen stuffed peppers. I think DH had a sandwich, and the kids are god knows where.

You should sell your creations on ebay when Pissy outgrows them.

Hope everyone that is sick gets better.

Of all the lessons I've taught her thus far, this is the one that stuck? Great.

Oh, and my brother called today. Mom is probably going to a rehab facility on Tuesday. Doing better, but still not up to par. Not up to phone conversations. But she started walking with a rolling walker thingie half the hallway, at least, so there is some progress.
Marita, glad your mom is doing a little better

:rotfl2: Thanks for sharing the redhead's writin!

Now poopsicles was a long time ago....and I am not in charge of them anymore....

I have a tickle in my throat......I hope that I am not going to get it......please let it not be it.....we are supposed to have a double birthday party here on Sunday for daughter and daughter in law......
Lucky you not to be in charge of the pooh: any more!!!

Start taking some Airborne, Pumba. STAT!

Lil G, I hadn't heard that Dr. P got off. Interesting.

I brought home some leftover pizza from lunch for dinner. I WAY overordered for a lunch meeting. Hubby was happy about that.

To all my fellow Scrabulousers, I'm all caught up.

Ooops, my bad. I do that alot! Sorry Elisabeth. Do you think she'll notice? Maye she skimt. I won't worry too much. She can call Riley a girl, if it'll help.

Norah would love to be BFF with Lali. She has a lot of Best-best friends.

I found it!!! The AT&T scrabble ad- I thought of you ALL when I first saw this:rotfl:

PS we also subscribe to the milk-your-birthday-for-all-it-is-worth philosophy

Tomorrow is DSbonusboy's friend party. We will be hosting 5 teenage boys for a "slumber" party.

I asked him if they were going to do makeovers, have pillow fights and talk about who is cute. The resulting eye roll was impressive.

Instead we will go out for dinner at Pizza Planet (Ok so that isn't the real name, but that is what I call it),then settle in for hours of movies and video games. I am cooking brunch the next morning. How many eggs do we need for 5 teenagers, 3 twinkie children and 2 adults?

Never mind, I didnt go to math camp and I failed math in high school :rotfl2:

KEWL!

Twink, how about making pancakes or waffles? Maybe you could make some ahead and keep them warm in the oven. That might not take as many eggs.

Mom's super delicous scrambled eggs:

Some cubed up small pieces of salt pork
Eggs mixed with milk, 11/2 tablespoons per egg
Brown up the salt pork
Pour in the egg mix slowly from the side, lift from heat and stir slow from sides to center until just settled nicely
Serve over crispy rolls or toast

Hee hee marita- I saw your pre math camp post! We are having omelettes- cooked light and fluffy :) that is what DS picked for his favorite meal. Once I got over the shock of needing 39 eggs (I agreed with his calculations btw) it is a (relatively) cheap, easy and fun way to feed a crowd.
