Why does NBC have to show Wimbeldon, whatever it is, and preemp my soaps.? Isn't there some nbc sports channel that can air that. Leave my shows alone!

It's pouring over here. I had to drive in lightning. It's January people. This is crazy. And they are saying it's gonna freeze over tonight. Yikes! That's gonna be just a huge mess.

I think my temp thingie said 43 degrees in the car.

I know what you mean about pre empts. Sometimes I can get it on a Canadian channel so I don't miss it. Other times I can't. And I can not follow your politics.

Hey, Mony, I watch Days too. I have since I was 11 (....a whole 15 years. ) You're right. They pre-empt it for every little thing. So irritating. Thankfully, we have SoapNet, so I can catch it there if NBC pre-empts.

BTW, you're kicking my astarstar in the unmentionable game.

NAB, yep...I DVR it every day. Sometimes I'm behind in viewing by as much as 2 weeks, but right now I'm pretty much caught up. Not loving some of the recent storylines though.

I see the tag that must be from the Days thread...pretty cool!

It was 50's and raining here allllll day yesterday and then around 9 last night the wind started howling and that went on til early this morning.

Now it's 17 degrees.

I took care of my best friends two daughters while she attended nursing school...I had two kids also....a boy and a girl......so......when hubby was in the service he got one of those big reel to reel tape players.......SONY ....huge.....so we had recorded some songs and Paradise by the Dashboard light was on this.......so the kids would take the microphone and sing along with this group......and one of my friends daughters could do the in between song so GOOD.....the heavy breathing one......and dahhhhhhh.being so stupid like I was.....never ever thought that the song was not good for kids......UNTIL after they were in high school and someone took my Meatloaf Album....I mean my prize possession......sooooooooo .....(I found the album at my neighbors house two years ago..so it is home where it belongs).......so back to this story.....I was sitting at a store and all the words of Meatloafs songs were in this booklet.....so I got it and OMG I was in shock......Called my friend who lives elsewhere and said .......I was your childrens caregiver and I messed up......and we laughed till we could no longer breathe.....SOOOOOOO Meatloaf is my favorite still ......but not for young kids to sing together in my living room...

You're dirty, Marie!!!! Corrupting those young kids! making them think that they'll be praying for the end of time after one baseball game!!

Allow me to help a friend in need. Here is a shot of my little piece of Heaven. Some of y'all have seen it, some have not. But I know it will bring a smile to PJ and Snarkgirls faces since they feel it necessary to camp out in the game room and underneath the kitchen window respectively.
