ok so off to DLRP in just over two weeks and really excited!!!!!!!!!
One thing unsure about is what money to take??? we were going to take full euros but thomas cook do the cash passport card thing, i dont know if anyone has ever used it or if its new but its a chip and pin card you put cash on over here and use it just like your cash card to pay for things, it doesnt charge you and its the same exchange rate. but it charges you to get cash out from an atm. its covered like a travellers cheque and can be replaced within 24hrs.

What do people normally do???
We are going for 5 days and are taking about £1000???

I usually take cash & my credit card which doesn't charge me to use abroad & I get the business rate then.

We go to France quite a bit so any left over Euros we keep for next time

thanks we were going to do 500 cash and 500 card. Me and my hubby dont do credit cards we dont like them so thought this might be a good alternative?!

hey i have one of those cash cards from the travel agents and it works a charm

used it at disney loads and it works fine
