Please don't remind me! :rotfl:

The biweekly NSTs are KILLING me. I am so exhausted by the time I get home that the day is done for. :sad2:

I was all super motivated (nesting?) today and vowed that I would get things accomplished. Well, DS fell and split his tongue open (BAD!) and had blood going EVERYWHERE. I called the pediatrician's office because I didn't think he needed medical care but with it being a Friday (and them closing at noon) I wanted to make sure. They told me to go get him a slushie. Apparently the cold would stop the bleeding. And it did. And he loved it, except I'm fairly certain he gave himself a brain freeze. :lmao:

Getting to him after he fell, and cuddling with him after, wore me out. I don't think I've moved that fast in months. ;)

So yea not much got accomplished today either. Even worse, the pile of clean clothes for Owen was the closest thing to us so that is what I grabbed to sop up the blood. So, yeah, can we say... lots of time needed now to stain treat those? :headache:

Ahhh.... never a dull day. :goodvibes

sorry to hear about your DS's tongue but at least it was an easy fix!! I still get really tired easily too. It was probably all the adrenaline kicking around in your system when you were trying to sooth DS and then when things calmed down you crashed. That happens to me a lot.

I just realized I didn't post about my 34 week appointment. I saw the Dr this past Tuesday and all is still looking good. I had had a lot of contractions last week so the Dr checked me and I'm still tightly closed with no signs of dilation. My Dr doesn't think I will go into labor before 39 weeks 1 day, when I'm scheduled for my RCS. I'm still measuring big, but the Dr isn't to concerned, just expecting at least a 9 lb baby on my c-section date. They went ahead and scheduled my remaining 4 appointments. I go in 2 weeks, and weekly after that. I admit I'm starting to get to the point that I'm ready to have this baby. I'm exhausted, and sore all the time. This baby is much lower than my DD was. At least I don't have the kicking in the ribs all the time, but the pressure on my hips. Only 4 weeks and 5 days, or 33 days till Daniel will join us. I'm still waiting on my friend to set a date for the baby shower. She's running out of time. I've got the nursery all set and ready for the baby. I also installed the car seat base in my car so I feel like I'm ready to go. About the only thing left on my list is to get my DD's birthday party planned. Her B-day is the 24th, but we will have the party on Oct 2nd so I have a few more days to recover and my Parents will be down to help out. My Mom is great about cleaning and I'm going to let her get the house ready for the party.

So all in all, life is good.

so glad things are going well! So exciting that your CS is so soon!! I love seeing all the pictures of the new precious LO's! And your friend hasn't done your shower yet!? 4 weeks isn't a lot of time! Hope she gets a move on! What do you think you are going to do for your DD's birthday? I can't wait to plan bday parties!!

Hey all, life has been crazy lately! I still have insane all day sickness all day every day and my stupid insurance company has dragged their feet so much with approving more zofran then next week already makes a month since the last time I was able to pick any up (which was days worth). Awesome, huh?! I am keeping my fingers crossed that once I hit 12 weeks it will be over.
I also started a job last week and have been working so hard at not feeling sick at work that by the time I get into the car to go home I want to hurl. I'm sure that the 96-98 feels like 110 isnt helping. By the time I get home I a out for the count in the living dept.
I'm counting down the days until Autumn!

Sorry to hear about the sickies still plaguing you. I had it bad up until about week 20 and I get it still now every now and again but not a ton. Hope it eases up for you very soon! And I totally kwym about being a zombie at the end of the day. I was like that for all 3 months of the first tri. Worked, came home and slept and that was my life.

Well baby G is here!

Gianna Reese was born Aug. 12. She was 8 lbs, 2 ozs - holy cow!

I had a repeat C/S which wasn't as easy as the first. I'll post details soon. Right now we are enjoying Gianna so much. She reminds me and DH of Scooner - her coloring, temperament, features. We are very lucky parents!

Leaving the hospital - looking very high here. :rotfl:

she is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Congratulations!!!

Hello Moms to be! So I am joining in very late in the game, but thought this was the most appropriate thread to ask a few questions I have!

Boppy VS. Breast friend- has anyone used both? I went to babies r us all set to buy a new boppy, but then saw the breast friend and wondered if that might be better?

When did your baby turn head down? I'm 35 weeks (due sept. 18th) and my little guy is still breech. If I am remembering correctly my son didn't turn until after 36 weeks (of course that was 4 years ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy), but the nurse told me that usually if baby is still breech by 36 weeks, they stay that way. Yikes! I don't want a c-section if I can avoid it. Has anyone had a baby turn late in the game?

This is baby #3 for me and I am being induced (kinda' scared of that) on Sept. 13th because of a history of fast labors. (crossing my fingers I actually get an epidural this time)
Thanks!!!

My little guy was was head down and then flipped about 36 weeks, but by 37 weeks he was back to head down. I was so freaked! I did a few exercises that you can find online to get him back into the correct position and it worked. Good luck!! I'm 39w 2d and still waiting for his arrival.....

Oh my goodness, all I can say is thank goodness I am almost done.

I am so beyond irritated at my OB's office that I cannot see straight.
They are driving me nuts! They are mad because I didn't go to my NST yesterday. I have no one to watch Lucas. They wanted me to go today. Again, I have no one to watch Lucas. I'm sorry but he is NOT going to sit through it. I know that if I pack him up, and go, he won't sit through it so what is the point?? I am not going to sit there and watch him scream in his stroller for an hour and a half.
I will keep the appointment Thursday, I have someone to watch him then.

So my OB told me last Thursday that she was going to do a full-scan ultrasound tomorrow. When they were harassing me about the NSTs I mentioned that I had no order or anything and the nurse goes "I'll call and schedule it"... we had JUST talked about Lucas going down for his nap around 12:30-1pm.
When does she schedule it? 1pm.

I know my OB was trying to do the fluid checks exactly a week apart but I called the hospital and rescheduled for Friday at 5pm. I have no one to watch Lucas Thursday and I'm not pushing his nap to take him (again, he wouldn't sit through it especially not during nap time!!) and my husband would like to be there-- and honestly, I would like him to be there too!!

I know it's mostly hormones but I am so FRUSTRATED with her office! I was told in July that I'd have weekly ultrasounds, why couldn't I have scheduled them all then so they could be for times I could make??

Sorry. I am just.... angry. And done being pregnant.

I loved her with DS1 and I'm really just so irritated with everything that has happened these last few weeks that it's completely soured my opinion of her. Which I hate but it is what it is.

Piecey - I don't think you're being overly hormonal, I think the OB office is being inconsiderate of your time. What kind of office just makes an appointment without consulting with the patient first to see if the time is convenient? Some of us have lives outside of dr appts. At least you are almost done! :thumbsup2

Oh it's good to hear there is still hope! I will look up the exercises online and hope they work for me too! The nurse told me I could always try inversion, but she didn't really recommend it. (and they don't do it until I think 39 weeks anyways) I don't know, hopefully he will turn and I won't have to worry about that!

Hope your little one makes an arrival soon!!!

I think what I did was a pelvic tilt? It was not comfortable at all but I am convinced it worked because a few hours after I did it, I felt him flip....at this point, the baby is big enough to feel that kind of movement.

I had my appt this morning and I am 1.5 cm dilated and 75% effaced. Not sure this really means anything but at least it's progress.....I have to go a full 41 weeks before they will induce without a medical reason. If my cervix is ripe before then, they can induce after 40 weeks....next appt is Wed and I will be 40w 3d.....so hoping to go before then!!!!

Just popping on to say congrats to vettechick- she's a cutie! Congrats to anyone else I might have missed ( I only read the last few pages). I promise I'll post Anna Caroline's birth story and pics when she lets me- I'm on the iPad right now and it's hard to type, especially with someone in my lap!

Piecey, I would be aggravated and mad at my OB, too! Not everyone can drop everything to go to an appointment with little to no notice and they should realize that and be accommodating. I've been with my OB for years and she delivered my DS. I would be very disappointed if I started getting bad service.

I hoping someone can give me some advise on traveling while pregnant because my DH and I are 95% sure that we are going to take a quick trip to WDW for Columbar Day weekend:banana: Just for 4 nights - Saturday to Wednesday. I will be 23 weeks along by then, so any recommendation and helpful hints would be appreciated.

I need to get a maternity swimsuit - I'm not really showing yet (I look like I've gained weight, but I don't have a noticable "bump" yet) but I'm pretty sure I will be showing in 7 more weeks. I hope Target still has some suits on the clearance rack. We are most likely going to stay at Corando Springs, and the pool looks so nice.

I"m so excited because we were supposed to go to Disney last September for our honeymoon, but we had to cancel the trip when my husband was offered a new job and the start date couldn't be puched back at all. That's why we ended up getting married in Vegas!

I hope everyone is doing well -- so many of you are so close to your due dates. I'm jealous :goodvibes

Apparently today was my last appointment!!

She went over all the risks of surgery and said "Head to L&D around 10am next Thursday to get fluids and I'll see you in the OR that afternoon."

WHOA! Didn't anticipate that. :scared:

I must also admit that when she went over all the risks of surgery in my L&D room with DS1 before the c-section (I was a mess-- around 16 hours of pitocin, 3 worn off epidurals, I hyperventilated, was exhausted, etc.) it was much less scary than when you're wide awake and alert in an exam room. :rotfl:
I called DH to tell him how it freaked me out and he said "Now you know how I felt when she started rattling off all the risks with Lucas and you're in that bed with an oxygen mask and half lidded eyes"

1 more week!

She walked me through everything-- down to when they'd put the catheter in. She also said they'd put a round pillow under my right side to tilt me left towards her until Owen is delivered. Is that normal?? I know she is a short/tiny woman and someone told me once that they were in a c-section with her when they did their maternity rotation for nursing school and they have to bring her in a taller stool haha

Conratulations vettechick! That is one beautiful baby.

Ok , it has been so long since I've been through all of this, and you would think I would remember this stuff with having done it 4 times before....but when do you start feeling the fluttering of the baby? I can't remember. Also, with 4 others around here, I don't have the time I did on the 1st and 2nd to pour over all of the books on pregnancy to find out.

Good luck next week Piecey! So exciting!

Thank you, Leger, pixiegoose, and talulabelle!

Piecey, I'd be annoyed too. What kind of practice doesn't ask what appt times are good for you? At least you are almost done. Yay!

lspst, check out the link in my signature. We went to WDW about that time in my pregnancy. Wasn't easy but wasn't terrible either.

Man! I thought I responded to you VetteChick. I was going to ask you a question!! I must've gotten distracted.

What do you mean by "Make sure they roll you"??? I had a c-section with DS so I'm familiar with it and have no memory of being "rolled"... I was just curious what you meant.

And your daughter is gorgeous! I love her name, too! You're in so much trouble with two gorgeous girls... :rotfl:

Piecey....How exciting! You have a date! Woo Hoo!!

lspst...I went to WDW when I was 18/19 weeks in March 2003. I remember my Dr telling me to drink lots of water and take plenty of breaks. It was a much slower trip for us, but the fun thing was that we did a lot of rides/attractions that we would normally skip since I couldn't do the big rides. I also always carried some sort of snack with me, normally granola bars.

lspst - I went to DL around that time and it was fun, though I was slightly jealous of DH getting to go on the "good rides" ;) If you are flying down, make sure you get up every hour or so to walk around and prevent blood clots in your legs. Make sure you stay hydrated and take as many breaks as you feel you need. Indoor rides/shows with a/c are your friend. :thumbsup2 Is this your first? I was barely showing then with my first and I don't think I wore a maternity suit, just a tankini. This pregnancy I am wearing one for sure, and I got it at Target. It's really comfy.

Piecey - wow, so exciting! Just think, you will have 2 little boys under 2 in 1 week! I don't remember any of the risks of surgery being covered for my last c-section, but like you I had already been in labor for 15 hours with pitocin, epi, etc, so I don't really remember much.

talulabelle - I think I started feeling movements around the end of the 1st trimester this time, more like 18 weeks with my first.

***********************
I had my 34 week check-up today, and everything was normal. Dr said we will finally schedule my RCS at my next appointment in 2 weeks, and he also starts the internal exams then. Then I start going weekly! Looks like I've hit the final stretch!

For those of you that just had your first RCS - would you do it again? Would you consider having a 3rd child via RCS? Or is anyone on that has already had more than 2 c-sections?

I know Christina (Dmickey28) loved her RCS.

That is so weird-- my OB did a pelvic today but she couldn't "reach my cervix" and said it was no biggie, she wasn't going to fight for it. :lmao: It was the first internal she did other than my initial exam at my first appointment. Every Dr. truly is so different!!

I totally remember her standing in front of me talking and thinking to myself "Why is she wasting my time? It's not like I can say no to the c-section..." but I hadn't really registered any of what she said.
I heard her today. Loud and clear.
Right down to the statistics of should I need a blood transfusion there is a 1:15million chance of contracting hepatitis. "small, but not zero." as she said :upsidedow

Like Lspst, we are doing 2 WDW trips while pregnant. I'll be somewhere between 21-24 weeks for the first one and then we are planning a trip at 33 weeks so I can see all the Christmas decorations. Originally we looked into going at New Year's, 35 weeks pregnant. However, that did not pan out and I think it was a sign. Am I nuts to think I can do this trip? We live in driving distance and we go often enough that we don't do the park commando thing. We stay deluxe and relax. Plus, it will just be for either 2 or 3 nights. I will get a wheel chair for most of the day in the parks (if I feel it is necessary).

Please tell me its possible.

I went at 31 weeks with my first DD and am going again at the exact same point this time. Can it be done - yes. We really slowed down and enjoyed it immensely. I did drink lots of water....I had significant swelling (It was and will be September for my trips so you should be better off in December) and I enjoyed the pools and an afternoon nap most days. This time DD is tall enough for all the big rides so I have a feeling I will get plenty of rest time while her and DH enjoy those. I'm a little concerned just because things have seemed harder this time - but I'm also really looking forward to it for DD. We are surprising her and I know she is going to be so excited. She just said the other day that she misses Disney.

Talulabelle - I felt the baby move for the first time at 14 weeks this time. However it was several weeks after that before I felt her move again. I started feeling her move regularly probably around 20-22 weeks.

we had our last appointment today. I had no change so am now scheduled to be induced starting late tuesday evening so colton will be born on wednesday at 39 weeks. unless he decides to come earlier on his own of course.

we are very excited but I am also nervous!
