MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

if anyone has seen ADULT (actually plus size) halloween theme shirts anywhere please pass info along..I tried Wal-mart and Target no luck! No time to order from ebay or online...we leave this week! thanks.

Check out the DISign boards! There are a lot of cute DISigns, and you can iron it onto a plain shirt you already own (or can pick up cheap at Target).

We leave tomorrow night and will be doing MNSSHP next Tuesday. I'm hoping someone will know this before I drive away! :rotfl:

Is there anywhere in any of the gift shops to buy the Halloween bags?

We just went to MNSSHP last night (Sept. 11) and saw some Halloween bags in the stores in the park. I do not remember which store though.

They have some at Old Navy, if that's in your area.

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I was just at the party on 9/11/09 and found out two things I wanted to share.

Cosmic Rays has a different menu after 7:00pm. No more chicken and ribs!!:scared1: But a really nice dance party was going on. Lots of characters and a really nice treat.

The pins were not at Exhibition Hall. We had to walk back up Main Street to get the pins at the Uptown Jewelers. :goodvibes:goodvibes

We had a fabulous time at the party. One of the ladies had never been to Disney World at all. She had a ball. The other friend had never been to the Party. :goodvibes

Enjoy!

I am totally not artsy craftsy, so please help. Do you cut out the paper design and then how do you iron the paper onto fabric? It wouldn't be washable if it had paper on it would it? I'm sorry to sound stupid.

Did they change the menu after 7pm just for the party? Can you share what they had on the menu instead of the chicken/ribs? That's what we were planning to have when we go to our party :-(

I think I mentioned in an earlier post, if anyone is interested, that we found all of the pins (except the $35 one) in the Merchant of Venus store in Tomorrowland. The $35 pin we found in the jewelry store (that also has statutes and pins) on Main Street (sorry, I don't remember the name).

No you buy special t-shirt transfer inkjet paper. You can find it with printer paper in Target and Walmart. You print the image on the paper and then you iron it onto the t-shirt. It's like the iron on design type t-shirts that used to be popular in the 70's & 80's. Remember those stores in the malls where you'd pick your design from the wall and a blank t-shirt and then they'd use their big iron press and press it on? It's just like that except printer paper and an iron!

I'm not too terribly crafty either and I used a ton of the DISigns to make some t-shirts and treat bags for our upcoming trip. It was really easy and they turned out great! I got the canvas treat bags at Hobby Lobby for $1.49 and the t-shirts for between $2.99-$4.99 depending on the size also at Hobby Lobby. Check that out if you have one near you. HTH!;)

The direction will be different depending on which transfer paper you purchase (available at Target, Wal-Mart, craft stores). Just follow the directions, and you'll be fine. Easy peasy.

They had pretty tasty chicken nuggets. Grilled chicken sandwich. Pork barbeque sandwich. If you get there before 7:00, its all good. But after 7:00, a modifed "party" menu. I was so looking forward to the chicken and ribs. So get there before 7:00 so you won't be disappointed...

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The annual passholder pins. :goodvibes:goodvibes

I noticed you said you can get in at 4. I called Disney after reading this and was told absolutely not because I have a dining reservation at 5 and they said I have to have a regular theme park ticket to get in for that dining reservation even if I have a ticket for the party.

I purchased my tickets for MNNSHP yesterday and was told by the CM without asking that I could get in at 6pm. I then told her that I heard people were let in at 4pm and she said no. She said maybe at 5pm they might start letting people in but definately not 4pm and she said not to show up before 5pm because I would end up waiting around for at least an hour. However, people who have gone this year have already posted that they got in at 4pm. I think Disney started letting people in at 4pm to avoid massive crowds of people arriving and leaving at 7pm, but never advertised it. Now that more and more people know about it, they are trying to spread out when people arrive by encouraging them to arrive later. I'm still planning to arrive at 4pm and don't expect to have a problem.

Ooops. Sorry. :flower3: I'm so excited to finally be able to answer people's questions and give back a little, since I just got back, that I'm probably being too helpful. :lmao:

I've seen a few posts mentioning Dance Parties. We were at a MNSSHP in 2006, but I don't remember these. Can someone explain WHERE, WHEN, WHO, and WHAT they are. Thanks

There were dance parties in Fantasyland (near Ariel's Grotto) and in Tomorrowland (near Space Mountain/Carousel of Progress). There is a DJ who plays music and usually 2 characters who intereact with the kids (and adults), dancing with them. It's very cute! They do group dances too. When we were there they were doing "YMCA".

I was also there on Sept 4. I had the best time (so did the kids) I saw the 9:30 fireworks stood for the 10:05 villans show and saw the 10:30 parade. Creullea and Maleifant(sp) were on the right hand side for pics and the evil queen and Queen of hearts where on the left. The CM for snow white side they come out for an 1/2 an hour and leave for an 1/2 an hour. I saw guest with a really cool black and orange treat or treat bag w/ ghost mickey on it. I think there selling it at the party its smaller than the totes from the disney store but they look like a thicker material. If you find those really cool blinking ghost on a blinking lanyard buy them fast dont wait they sell out fast. I looked all over for then and they were completely sold out :sad1: they are only 5 dollars

I dont know why but we got to the MK before 4 and they were letting us in. We were inside the turnstyles 15 mins before 4, waiting for the cm to put on our bracelets :woohoo: I was so happy beacuse we had adrs for the plaza at 4:30 and we were able to take our time and take pictures :yay:

The only long lines I had that were slow were Snow White and Cinderella Carriage. but all others moved pretty quick. However we still didnt have time to do everything I didnt get a chance to take picture with any of the characters in adventureland :guilty:If anyone has the Piarte leauge adrs before the party arrive to your adr way before your time. My adr was for 6pm so we got there 5 mins before. I thought that was good, nope they were running behind (and taking walk ins) We didnt get done untill 7:20 :scared1: However it was a great experiance for the kids. :thumbsup2

This is what I had planned to do. Happy to hear it worked out nicely for you! :yay:

We are attending the MNSSHP for our first time on October 12th and my question is we were also considering doing the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party. Would it be crazy to try to do them the same night?
