MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

We are attending the MNSSHP for our first time on October 12th and my question is we were also considering doing the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party. Would it be crazy to try to do them the same night?

I don't know if I would say it's crazy but I have done both events and it would kill me to "double up" on paid events and waste time from the MNSSHP to go to the wishes dessert party. I would much rather be trick or treating, riding rides with no wait times or photo ops with characters. For me I would rather do it on two separate nights. I'm going to MNSSHP on the 15th of sept and then the wishes party on the 16th so I can get the most out of each experience.

thanks for the info. some of this is new from past years. i did not know about the neck thing with the blinking lights. neat! i will look for it.:thumbsup2

also i agree i would not want to miss any of the party for the dessert party. i think i will try to get res. for the dessert party another night.;)

Does anyone know the locations of the Photopass photographers during the party?

Thanks! :lovestruc

Last year they were on Main Street doing Castle shots and with the characters. We didn't see all of the characters due to the heavy rains. We got shots with Jasmine & Aladdin (near the flying carpet ride), Mickey & Minnie, Cinderella & her prince, and Aura (sp?) & her prince. I'm sure there were more, but with the heavy rain and it being our first time, we were a bit overwhelmed.

I wanted one badly too. :sad1: When I saw a couple of guest with them I was like "I gotta have that" However when I went to every cart that sold the "light stuff" they were sold out. Some of them told me that they were only given ONLY 10 to sell :scared1: and they sold out pretty quick. I saw cms pushing thier carts to other carts to see if they had any more.
Was disney crazy who wouldnt want to buy a blinking "chain" and ghost for 5 Bucks. When I asked about it in city hall they said since it was a new item they didnt think it was going to be so popular (:eek:Boy were they wrong) so they didnt bring up so many but if I was going to be here next week they were going to bring way more for the other parties but sadly it was my last night at the world :sad2:

The other thing I found to be werid was Snow and the 7 drawfs didnt have a photopass person I dont know if it was just my luck or is that normal :confused3

Sorry if this has already been asked.... We are getting to the park before 4pm. GD has BBB appt. at 2pm. Will we be able to get our wristbands for MNSSHP when we enter the park (@1:30) or will we have to exit and be re-admitted after 4pm. Thanks! :confused3

They do not hand them out until after 4:00p. You can get them at various locations throughtout the park. The CMs will have festive clothes on. There is one location in front of the castle.

You do not have to exit and re-enter.

Help, please: How CrAzY are the lines to leave MK after the second parade? Going early October.

Unfortunately, they are crazy. That is usually when we leave.

There's a mad rush to leave the park. We usually wait it out on the side of Main Street.

Then we head to our bus and then there's always been a very long line for that as well. I think the last time we waited at least 30 minutes and 4 buses before we could get on a bus.

It's hard to avoid the end of night rush unless you are staying at the Contemporary! Even then you'd have to wait out the Main Street crowd.

Thank you so much! How long after the first parade does it take for things to calm down, I wonder . . . or is it just chaos from after the first parade on?

I am totally not artsy craftsy, so please help. Do you cut out the paper design and then how do you iron the paper onto fabric? It wouldn't be washable if it had paper on it would it? I'm sorry to sound stupid.

I didn't see this mentioned...make sure you flip the image before you print. It must print backwards (mirror image) on the ironon paper or your shirt will be backwards.

Anyone know what the "party" food at Cosmic Ray's is?

We're going in 2 days and my family wants to know if we should eat before 7 or if we should wait.
