Ty for posting this. Where did you see this? I wonder why all the unofficial sites gave it as the first with early park closing. I guess that's why the are unofficial.

Hi Everyone!

Looks like MNSSHP will begin on Sept 1, which is a Tuesday. Its also the last day of my trip before we travel home!

We are planning on going.

Just looking for advice on the day. Here are the options.

1. Enjoy the resort (beach club) all morning, Head to MK around 3p. Plan a Monorail resort or MK early dinner for 4 pm.

What time does the party end???

2. Head to another park for the morning, then head to MK around 3 p, with same dinner plans

3. Head to MK at rope drop, return to resort around 1p, then return to MK , with plan for early dinner at 4 in MK.

I also need suggestions for Dinner place.

Also, are we able to ride all rides during the party, I am assuming there is no FP. Anyone know what time the parade is?

TIA!!!! Annbug

I have always traveled in party season, but not gone to the parties yet (little ones couldn't stay up). I can say that crowds are very good in MK during the day of a party - many non-party people don't want to be there due to early closing. I think eating in the park during the 4-5 time frame would be fine. Not outrageously early for dinner, you're not yet missing party activities, and ride lines aren't very good then with regular day park people squeezing every minute out of their ticket plus party people who have begun pouring in. Main Street is crazy crowded from 5pm on - it's actually kind of a pain for non- party people to get OUT of the park!

Sorry for any disappointment I may have caused :(

I'd hold out hope if I were you. Disney's site doesn't yet have dates listed and the unofficial sites quoted above have pretty good track records. Also, 9/15 would be quite late for the first party compared to recent years.

What's your source? I've seen those dates posted on WDWmagic, but they're not an official site, and they don't indicate where they got those dates from.

As I recall this past November when we were there MK closed at 7pm and it had nothing to do with a "christmas Party". There were many Christmas parties during that period but Disney ended up calling me and rescheduling our BOG reservations because they had added this early closing night. I think they said it was a private party. I have to look back at my schedule to figure it out.

Sounds like there is a very good chance there will be parties those nights but they do close early for other reasons.

It is WDW Magic. They got their dates from the back of a newly released Flower & Garden Map that details upcoming events @ WDW. I have changed my post above as I don't know whether the information is official or not, but just wanted to put the information out there because I just saw it myself.

The calendar that's linked in post #5 (which is showing 7:00 closings at MK on the 1st, 4th, and 7th) is from Disney, although that's not to say that it's not subject to change.

The map posted on WDW Magic is also from Disney and the back page of the map lists the dates in the Upcoming Events Section.

I posted the dates because we nearly paid to change our travel plans one year because MK was listing an early close and we were hoping it was for MNSSHP, but it wasn't.

Here is the back of the Flower and Garden Festival map. Hopefully, this list is incomplete. These dates are all after NOJ, so it could have been a mistake that went unnoticed, they may not be definite on the early dates prior to printing, or they could just be correct. There are a couple of added October dates this year, so who knows... We'll likely have to wait awhile before we know for sure.

This has everyone so confused. WDWprep school site has these Sept dates listed for 2015 MNSSHP-
  • September 1, 4, 7, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25 and 27
Strange. I hope the OFFICIAL dates are released to end the confusion...although the Flower & Garden pamphlet should be pretty official if you ask me. Tickets won't go on sale until the beginning of May. I hope the MVMCP dates are not that different this year for the beginning of November, when I am there.

Official MNSSHP dates come out approx May 1st, along with pricing. Same announcement time every year.

In my opinion, ridiculous. Halloween is one day and it is October 31st. Why start this event the 1st of September? Shorten length of time such events take place..... just my opinion

I think people are now more excited about the Halloween Party than Christmas!

I think Pete is right. They are adding more dates and letting fewer people in to make it more of an exclusive event. I think they want a selling point for the parties to be that ride times will be shorter since there is not really an 'off' season at Disney anymore.

$$$$$$

The question is were those early dates making money.
