MNSSHP, the dates, the discussion.

Now are they going to extend the hours on the 1st, 4th and 7th to past 7:00PM?

Oh Well. Its Ok, we are still planning to have an amazing time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How will we know what the hours for MK will be on Sept 1? Im only asking so I can plan my ADR accordingly.

Oooh - I hope it's a mistake. Sept 15th is much later than usual and Josh still has Sept 1 located as the first party.
My birthday is the 4th and we come home on the 5th. Fingers crossed.

Unfortunately it is not a mistake. The dates were officially released by Disney. The parties are starting later this year.

Well, Josh went by the hours in the travels agents' calendar (which is from Disney) which showed MK closing at 7:00 on the 1st, 4th and 7th.

So, I logged onto the MDE app a few moments ago. Under the MNSSHP is says "select nights from 7:00 to 12:00 am, September 1 to November 1, 2015..." Wouldn't it say Sept 15 to Nov 1, if this was all set in stone? I'm very confused.

I hope that Disney would either fix the hours for the beginning of September or host parties so there would be so much less confusion. Maybe they scheduled the hours that way as possible parties if there is enough squawk from visitors??? just a guess really...

Yeah, that sentence is quite misleading. Hopefully there will be some clarification soon. I'm sure the late Labor Day this year is part of the reason it's pushed back.

They may have meant to say "select nights in September, October, and November," but worded it poorly.

I think everything about this has been done poorly.

Aside from MDE having the range too broad and generic, the only thing handled poorly that I can tell is from all the speculators (planning websites and wherever they got their unreleased information) having their guesses wrong.

I guess I am confused.

Disney released the TA calendar for September two weeks ago (give or take a few days) that showed MK closing at 7pm on 9/1,4 and 7. The planning websites weren't making blind guesses. Disney has not changed the closing time for those three days reflecting that there won't be a party. I know a lot of people have been asking about it and I don't think Disney has replied to anyone. This is where the frustration is. Especially since ADR windows for that week are beginning to open up.

But why are there planning sites to begin with? Disney created a culture where you need to know where you will be at every moment. Make dining reservations 6 months out; make ride reservations 2 months out. So, speculating when the Mnsshp will be based on the travel agent calendar released, clearly should have been expected. If they never released the original calendar, this would never have been an issue.

EasyWDW (and I would assume any other planning site that gave party dates of Sept 1st, 4th and 7th) was going by the travel agents' calendar (linked in post #5) that was released by Disney showing 7:00 closures at MK on those dates.

To assist you with your planning. I am unclear as to how Disney encouraged them to provide false information. That would the fault of the planning sites for not confirming or making it clear they were guessing.

Did those same calendars also provide confirmation of party dates? That is what has me confused.
