We are not doing the party, but i was wondering has anyone done dinner without doing the party is it worth it? Or should i reserve on a non party night?

The only difference between dinner in MK on a party night and dinner on a non-party night is that you'd have to eat earlier on a party night. Totally depends on your schedule which night works best.

As said above, MK "closes" early on party nights to the general public, so you'd have to make an early ADR to be able to dine inside MK on a party night.

The entire park is "swept" to clear the MK of all people without a party wrist band by 7pm. Those who are finishing their meal after 7 are escorted out of the park once they exit the restaurant.

Going to MK on day there's a party without party tickets makes for a short day at the park. Not worth it for my family, but some may feel differently.

Personally, if I were going to MK on a party day, but not attending the party, I would plan to hop out of MK around 4 pm when the party crowds come in. In my experience, the park gets quite crowded between 4 - 6 pm and it's not terribly enjoyable. I also don't think there is any TS food in MK to make a dinner "worth" it. If you were to stay until 6 pm, I would squeeze as many rides in as you can, then exit the park and get dinner somewhere else.

We do the same thing. I like MK on a party night. We arrive around RD, many times with a PPO meal at BOG, and then make the most of light crowds. WHen the park starts getting crowded we leave and dine at either another park or at a resort.

If I was planning to dine in the park I would book a meal around 5:45.
