As anyone found a MNSSHP for dummies thread. We know absolutely nothing about it. What it is, what you can do? Characters you see? Only thing I know is that it is a ticketed event. I did a search and could come up with anything with a break down. Any help would be awesome.

Just a little info for you. Most of the characters that you never see can be seen. Jack Skellington and Sally are a huge hit and will require standing in a long line. The same holds true for the Seven Dwarfs. The villians show is great. The fireworks are great. The parade runs twice per night. and weather permitting you can catch the ride of the Headless Horseman before each parade. The later you stay the less the crowds are. There are special treats and items to purchase. The lighting is changed and the park takes on a whole new look.

All of the regular characters are in costume and they are easier to see. The ride wait times are mostly minimal, depending on what day you choose to go. We go in early October. Friday night parties are always more crowded. Costumes are not required but my entire family of adults always wear them. Where else can you dress up and not look the fool? I have found that character interactions are more fun when in costume.

We usually plan for an early dinner. Since we can enter the park at 4pm with the hard ticket, we usually book a 4:30-5:00 pm dinner and then we do not usually have to spend party time eating. We also love the dance parties. Another little bit of advice. The past 3 years we have been able to get a BOG 4:30 dinner reservation with no problem at all. When you enter the park they will give you a candy trail map and party guide. It really is fun. Though sometimes the info is not correct. We were told that the Seven Dwarfs would be by Splash Mountain, we found them at the gates to the New Fantasyland. We also walked right into Enchanted Tales with Belle----no wait at all.

Hope I helped. Have a ball!!!

- Yes, adults wear costumes, some are *very* elaborate.
- There are limited number of restaurants open during the party, you may want to eat before hand.
- Your ticket will get you into the park at 4pm. It's smart to either do the things that won't be open during the party or get in line for hard to meet characters
- Some items can only be bought during the party. They may sell out. Buy early if they matter to you.
- The villains meet after their show but do not sign autographs. Other characters are in special outfits and/or unusual combinations (prince & princess, all 7 dwarfs)
- Trick or Treat trails offer 'the good' candy, which can be exchanged for allergy friendly (peanut/gluten/etc) options on Main Street. Alternatively you can get fresh or snack size fruit.
- Get to the parade early to see the Headless Horseman go down the street with a glowing pumpkin. (not kidding)
- It's easier to get seating at the 10:30 parade.
- The fireworks show is utterly amazing. Go see it.
- There are party exclusive magic photo opportunities are not to be missed.
- It can still be very hot out and/or start pouring. Bring a change of clothes and stash them in a locker if you want to make it to midnight.

There are also candy trails in which you can go trick or treating (for free), event merchandise you can purchase, sometimes the bakery has special treats themed to the event.

Jack & Sally and the Dwarves have the longest lines, people start to line up for them before the party starts (5:30 ish). You can enter MK at 4 pm with your party ticket. If you are going to be there during the day with a park ticket, go get a wristband at 4 pm. Other characters include Mickey and the gang and Pooh & co in costumes, princesses with their princes, villains, other rare characters (Tarzan, Jane and Terk), and Jack Sparrow.

Rides tend to have shorter waits, especially during the first parade and later at night. The parade and fireworks are a must see. However, you do tend to have to pick between focusing on rides vs doing the event characters/shows/entertainment, as it is near impossible to do everything.
