MK Parade Question

Where is a good place to sit to be near the area that the parade stops and the children are picked to interact with the characters?

We are taking our 8 year old niece for her 1st trip to Disney. It's been a long time since we have been with children. I would love for her to be picked to participate in the parade.

When I was there 2 years ago (Oct 2002) we were sitting in front of the castle and the parade stopped there and had children participate. We went there in Oct 2004 and sat in the same location and there was no participation. So I am not sure if they still have children participation.

No parade participation at this time. Only the Parade Control CM's before the parade starts.
