Yup, I am definitely still laughing!! At the fact that there are so many childish people who cannot handle seeing the word OBAMA :scared1:without getting their panties in a wad. I'm not sure whether to laugh or enroll some of these people in a structured preschool program. :teacher:

Anyways, Mods: I received my answers about whether the OBAMA :scared1: speech in WDW's Magic Kingdom will be televised, please feel free to lock this thread to prevent some of these people from having a heart attack.

Hope you can all relax now & I hope you enjoy tomorrow's major event in WDW-Pinky Swear!!

Maybe next week we can all get together again and wet our pants about political agenda regarding Sam the Eagle in DHS

I must have missed it in there. Was that an apology?

There really is NO fine line with regards to this thread. I was asking about whether or not this WDW event would be broadcast-not about your problem with Disney's actions.

Again, my statement and question was directed to a mod, not in response to you.

Hmmmm....looks to me like you are the only one having an issue with any of this. Take a look at your posts. And then you call others childish and want to "enroll them in a preschool program"???

Huh. :rolleyes1

WOW-you kids still soiling your diapers over this thread??

Gotta agree with the OP here-they asked a question about a WDW event (really no different than asking if Davy Jones' performance at the Flower Power thing at Epcot will be televised) and you kids threw up all over it with ignorant comments that had ZERO to do with the original question. It's a very annoying and unnecessary thing to happen. The OP would not have gotten so angry if you had just refrained from acting like an imbecile in the first place. I don't mean that as a dig-I honestly mean that as my impression of how this very simple thread started and where it ended up.

Not sure I understand what all of you were doing on this thread to begin with?? You are clearly NOT interested in the topic, judging by your comments, and obviously just came on here in hopes that you would be obnoxious enough to lead it to be locked.

You really outta be ashamed of yourselves. What does this teach your children about differences? If you don't like it, crap all over it? :confused3 Unless of course you ARE children, which is often hard to tell on the internet though sometimes easy to figure out after reading some of these posts.

Sorry OP that people on here don't know how to deal with themselves & your thread got ruined. I hope you are able to find a televised version of Obama's speech in the Magic Kingdom.

LOL! I think we already know how you feel about the matter. Did the OP send you over her to apologize on her behalf for laughing at my very on-point reply to her question?

Cuz I'm still waiting.

Getting the thread on topic...

I'm pretty sure that it will be broadcast on some public news channel. In addition to this, the broadcast will also be featured inside Disney Hotel rooms. [Channel 30-something?] Guests who attend Magic Kingdom tomorrow will NOT be able to see the president speak. It is also NOT confirmed if they are going to set up a screen to allow MK guests to see the speech.

Note: Park will be capped at around 23,000 tomorrow. Main Street will be Closed until 2:30/3:30pm.

Just some food for thought though:

If you are all up in arms over the leader of our country giving a speech about international tourism in the most popular tourist destination in the US (likely the world) for international guests, because you are upset that this might signify WDW giving a stance on politics, why isn't anyone complaining over WDW issuing a religious stance??

I'm Jewish, but I take no offense to WDW offering the Candlelight Processional-the story of Jesus-or that Night of Joy thing. Isn't that WDW giving a religious stance, even though there are clearly guests of differing religions coming to WDW? Or do you refrain from complaining because their stance happens to be in your favor??

I remember a month ago, there was a heated thread on here about someone saying they were disappointed that the CP got rid of the one Jewish song they used to include & a bunch of people piped in and said "Well, that song doesn't really belong here." I remember feeling offended over that comment (and the fact that they nixed the Jewish song from the CP), but I certainly didn't start bashing WDW for taking a religious stance. They are a private corporation-they are allowed to have a stance on anything they want-not everyone is going to agree on it and not everyone has to agree on it. But the guests who have a little class will be grown up enough to let it be.

The other thing I find so silly on here is everyone is blaming Obama for everything-the crowds, the security, losing a precious 3 hours of Main Street, yet NO ONE is blaming the one who authorized the visit: your precious Disney World!! Are they not at fault for your minor inconveniences here??

& maybe look at the cup as being half full-those rare fireworks in DHS that they are putting on because of this event sound pretty cool. Extra EMH sounds great! Smile-it's WDW! There is plenty to do and see.

Politics are so silly-don't like the president? Congratulations-no one cares to hear about it in a thread where NO ONE was asking your opinion in the first place.

& Seeing as tomorrow's speech is a major event happening in WDW that some will be interested in and others are clearly worried about, this board is obviously an appropriate venue to seek for info and strategize.

Have a nice night.

:rotfl2: Oh my goodness, now I've heard everything!! Darn those foreigners-they have some nerve booking trips to WDW and it's all Obama's fault!! :rotfl:

Are you for real?

What the hay? Is this response for real? Such an emotionally charged reaction to such a simple factual answer. :confused3

They're supposed to be showing the speech in the Hall of Presidents, according to several media reports -- including this one.

I was inside the American pavilion last month and happened across a nice lady (Disney) telling a group of gathered children the story of Jewish temple seized by Syrian-Greeks and why the Menorah has eight candles. Made me wonder if there were other cultural stories going on around Epcot, but then I got back to taking pictures.

Your angry that the OP for laughing at you, yet you respond to my post by laughing at me?? Honey, you are going to be waiting a long time for an apology if that is your attitude.

But you don't seem to mind giving your opinion of the posters on this thread.

That's OK sweetie. I'm patient. Laughter can indeed be used appropriately, and it can be misplaced. An example of misplaced laughter would be in response to a very topical and serious answer to a stated question.

And I'll apologize for laughing at your reply. But then at least I didn't accuse anyone of soiling their diaper, or of being classless, disrespectful and ..... let me see........ oh yes......... entitled.

Does that about cover it?

But you don't seem to mind giving your opinion of the posters on this thread.

Nope, I don't mind in the least. Take a look back at this thread and read the snarky and rude comments that took less than 5 posts to start. I'm guessing if you posted a simple question on here and got snarky off topic and rude comments as replies, you might feel pretty frustrated as well. It has definitely happened to me before and it floors me that people have to resort to acting like such morons because they have an unrelated opinion to the topic.

People should be ashamed and embarrassed for letting their political views make them look like such ignorant morons.

Note to self...... add "moron" to my every growing list......

Name call much?

It does just about cover it, and I accept your apology-thank you. :flower3:
