MK Obama speech broadcasted?

Doesn't really matter whether you agree or disagree-the mod posted that comment in THIS thread.

Don't people post on here all the time asking about Xmas parade taping, WDW documentaries on TV, major events going on in WDW. How is this different?

Thread will be closed soon-not because the OP's topic was inappropriate but because of comments that ruined it, like that classy Brunette person above.

Apparently you're not following the facts.

A thread about touring the MK during the taping of the parade would belong here. A discussion of the actual broadcast would not.

A discussion of how the get around the parks tomorrow would belong here. A discussion of the broadcast of said even has no impact on touring the parks, so it would not.

Threads about a WDW documentary would best be suited to the community board. If they were taping a documentary and people needed to know how to visit the park in the midst of any disruption........ would be well suited here.

The fact that other threads have been incorrectly posted here in the past does not mean others should be.

I hope the thread isn't closed. I'm still waiting on my apology from the OP.

Yup, I am definitely still laughing!! At the fact that there are so many childish people who cannot handle seeing the word OBAMA without getting their panties in a wad. I'm not sure whether to laugh or enroll some of these people in a structured preschool program.

Anyways, Mods: I received my answers about whether the OBAMA speech in WDW's Magic Kingdom will be televised, please feel free to lock this thread to prevent some of these people from having a heart attack.

You could replace the Obama with Bush or with Palin or with any other politician and would get the same response; it's not just the word Obama

Keeping political view points out of it; but if I had paid hundreds of dollars to enter that park for the day or thousands for a week vacation, I would be honked regardless of who's campaigning or looking for a political photo op. Go to a local high school auditorium or use a hotel auditorium in Orlando. If we were honest with ourselves, most of us would be very upset if that was our "few hours" that had to be altered so that a politician can look good for a photo op, regardless of who they are or what party they belong to..... That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Our friends are arriving in Disney today for a quick Thurs-Mon trip. They are actually on the plane as I type!

Today is their MK day. They were suppose to eat at the Plaza restaurant at 130 but Disney called and cancelled their reservation. They were really disappointed.

I guess they are still going ahead with their plans of going to MK today. I can't wait to hear about their experiences though. They were super bummed that this put a HUGE wrinkle in their plans. Especially when they planned their ADRs 180 days in advance and had to scramble last minute to find a new one. (Which I'm not sure that they did).

I know I love going to MK on our arrival day so I would have been sad too. I just feel sad for all the people that are arriving today for their very first trip to WDW or all the people passing through that wanted a one day stop at MK today.

Didn't see this anywhere but Deb Willis is reporting on FB if you are in the parks and do not have Hopper option you can still hop today only b/c of the congestion at MK. Maybe that will help ease some frustrations of those there.

Yup - this is basically the point I have been trying to make throughout the entire thread. Of course, by saying that, I am...ummm...let's see - childish, immature, egging people on, etc.

But, what if that is their ONLY day to spend at Disney World? My very first time, I was 30. My husband and I had come down to visit family. While we were here, we took a spur of the moment day to go to Disney. Magic Kingdom to be exact. I had never been. I didn't think I would ever get back. I know I would have been quite upset if my only day was interrupted for politics.
