My thread -- not even three postings long was shut down in a hearbeat. All I wanted to get was feedback on what the day was like with POTUS at MK. I offered nothing political. I thought it would be a fun observations / conversation. And yet this thread goes on an on and on and on ... I think you need to implement your rules a little more equally. Just sayin.

Thank You......not to mention the cost for the SS on the little adventure of his. I don't know about you but they are spending my tax dollars to keep him safe in a place he should not be!!!

A couple thoughts:

Anyone who goes to the MK should be safe.

The President should be kept safe regardless of where he is. This is true regardless of who the President is or what your political bent is.

The President should be able to go just about anywhere. Clearly, Disney doesn't mind his giving the speech there.

It should also be noted that this is a very low crowd day at MK (2 out of 10, I believe) and Disney has set EMH at all the other parks to compensate resort guests for any disruption.

You know, I have much to say in reply to MANY political posts on this thread. Yet I find myself avoiding replying to many posts that clearly ARE political.

And I'm getting a little tired of feeling silenced because I want to follow the rules while others are not.

yeah...life is SO terribly unfair. Whatever will they DO for those 6 hours that only Main Street is unavailable at the 47 sq. miles that is the Walt Disney World Resort? Those poor people.

If some 5 year old loves Piglet and can't wait to see Piglet and now can't go meet Piglet because the President decided he wanted to interrupt everyone's vacation plans, that sucks for that kid. And the kid's parents.

It's not the worst thing in the world. But it still sucks.

If the President wants to speak at Disney World, he should do it without forcing people - especially kids - to be disappointed or inconvenienced. And if he can't stand up in front of the castle without disappointing, inconveniencing and generally bothering people, then he shouldn't do it.

God knows he could make his speech somewhere else.

This goes for every President.
