I'm now thinking maybe I should do the 5k too. Is anyone bringing kids to the 5k? Emma is 8 so she makes the age limit. She did the ToT 6.5k with me last year and was really mad they cancelled it for this year. She did much better than I expected at the ToT. The pace worries me, but she has been walking with me on the weekends. She has a WISH shirt, and would probably really like wearing a medal at the parks...![]()

I did the 1/2 marathon last year and am doing the 5K this year. I'd love to do the 15K but I'm doing the race with my 57 year old aunt. She's never run and she had a big knee operation this year so we'll be walking lots of it. I was going to do it alone but I was so happy when she agreed to try it that I don't mind walking with her!

I didn't see anything in there about sweepers....![]()

Page one "There will be pick up points along the course to transport you to the finish line if your are unable to maintain the 15 minute per mile pace."
Sounds like sweepers to me.
I don't know why but reading these has made me REALLY nervous about this. I have never tried to go this far and this pace requirement is worrying me. I am doing about 13 right now and don't see much hope of a speed increase in the next month....![]()
I really want my sister and my dad to get a medal.
