DH (in a long, convoluted story) has agreed that this is important. I have airfare and we're booked at Pop. WOOHOO! Add us to the list!

I am SO looking forward to meeting my WISH teammates at my FIRST RACE EVER!

We won't have a car and there are two of us, so if anyone is interested in sharing transport, we'd love to share!

We are doing both the 5K and the 15K.

I'm so excited!

We'll be staying at CB right around the corner so if you need a ride for the 15K can easily flip around and pick you up. Know there are others at Pop but just in case...

You are going to be so ready for Minnie after I read about you doing the bridge before work on another thread! The course is pretty flat, with the exception of one overpass/ramp around mile 4. You'll have lots of company!! The bright green WISH shirts and hats have been ordered previously. However, there is a plan in progress to be able to order shirts individually. Here's the current thread about it:

Ok, so the W.I.S.H. t-shirts that people Pre-Ordered are green. What color are the regular Minnie Marathon t-shirts (the one I'll receive with my registration packet)? Are they always black sleeveless? Thanks.

ohhh..good question!! I would love to know too! I have been training in a tight sports bra type thing (long version) and if it's a regular tshirt, then i will probably just save it..

The first year the shirt were black sleeveless, last year - still black, but short sleeves. Tend to run smallish.

Debbie and Stacey, the 5K got grey cotton t-shirts with red lettering; sizes ran big. The 15K got the tech black shirts; sizes ran small.

I would really think twice about wearing the black tech shirt in the 15K!! Of course, if you are a speedy person, never mind....

Hey WISHers!

I'm in! I signed up for the 15k. We're at the AKL.

I'm now thinking maybe I should do the 5k too. Is anyone bringing kids to the 5k? Emma is 8 so she makes the age limit. She did the ToT 6.5k with me last year and was really mad they cancelled it for this year. She did much better than I expected at the ToT. The pace worries me, but she has been walking with me on the weekends. She has a WISH shirt, and would probably really like wearing a medal at the parks...

I saw the 5K medal for last year and your daughter would have been extremely proud of it. I would let her do it, if possible! What is the time limit for the 5K?

I am flying in Saturday morning so I won't be able to do both

The time limit is 15 minutes/mile. I think the course is perfect though. The first mile is basically parking lot heading towards Epcot- I'm thinking the excitement of the start will make her forget she's in a parking lot (it always works for me!) The next miles are in Epcot. I think she'll get new energy hitting the parks (and it will probably be pretty hard to get a sweeper bus inside, right? )

Jen - Yay, you are in! I can't see how they can sweep the 5K with it running around Epcot. Once you exit you are in the parking lot and clear to the finish, so surely they won't sweep you there....??

I'd say go for it, I'm sure you guys can do it!

Ok, i edited my post above, but i see on the first page you already changed me -- LOL My MIL is a bit nuts, and has now left the hotel decision in the hands of my 7 yr. old dd. LOL
So, we now may be switching to the Grand. Sorry about all this!! LOL I will give you an answer today later!
