We got special fastpasses to TSM our first trip. Cooper was too small to go on Star Tours and he was crying. It was cold and rainy and a very nice CM came up to Cooper and gave him fastpasses for TSM! We were so thrilled and surprised. That is one of the reasons I love Disney.
Glad your year is going better. We are at around 30 days now!! I am so excited. I need to put my other ticker up for December. We plan on going to WDW next summer also but may also takes my DH's parents to Aulani so do not know the specific dates.

Chris and I were in Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day looking for stuff for our future home and he said to me, out of the blue, "One thing we have to have in our house is a big piece of Disney art." You know he won't have to convince me on that one!

ohhh, the 2nd 'choice' activity is hard cause it's really hard to choose but I'll have to go with the Mickey bar (then I'll change my shirt and my hairstyle, put on sunglasses and get a Mickey sandwich) my boyfriend said he'd get the Mickey Ice Cream sandwich and his mom said she'd get the pineapple bar.

Those mashed potatoes are delicious. I remember changing from my costume to regular clothes to get a chicken dinner on more than one occasion.

Ugh, although nothing in particular stands out, I've had my fair share of dealing with guests who give value resorts a bad name. It's sad they just can't enjoy their time at Disney. I'm happy that none of my DIS friends act like that. I was shocked to read about the there are threads about 'deluxe resort snobs' and "value resort trash'

I think I made my very first post on your reports (or at least that's why I created my account) I know for sure I became a DIS veteran from posting on your reports.

I love that Nicole had such a great experience staying at Pop.

After seeing the Fantasmic pictures, I want to watch the Fantasmic video I have saved to my laptop. There's a youtube channel that has high quality videos.

Brooklynn had big milestones in this TR, starting kindergarten and losing a tooth.

The stuff at the bottom looks like coral. I love your classroom. My classroom will be just as inviting one day.

Sorry to hear about the test scores. (I'm glad I have friends in the teaching world they give me a real look of what to expect. It hasn't steered me away yet.)

two bits of disney news today!

1) DH and I are going to Gatlinburg in October and will probably hit the Disney Outlet (in Pigeon Forge or Siervelle...can't remember which one it is in!)

2) I booked today 11/14/12-11/24/12 at FW campgrounds. I think in reality it will be 11/15 but I was told it was easier to book the extra day now and cancel the 11/14 if needed. I just don't know if we can make it to FL by 11/14 or not! DH still says we are not going but he was talking to his parents about it tonight at dinner though. I did room only incase it does not work out and I had to put the least amount of $ down.

If I/we don't get a spring break trip, we will have to do a mini-trip to somewhere with a Disney Store, too. I won't be able to go from January 2nd to June 13th without something Disney going on!!!

We normally book room only, too. It's the easiest way to hold a spot. I hope you enjoy the campgrounds. We have visited there several times, and we'd like to stay there for a couple of nights at the end of one of our trips.

Since WDW will have already started its Christmas decorating, you might get lucky and get to see some of the RV people doing that, too. Those displays are fun to see.

I just booked 2 trips for next year with Free dining!!!

The first one is a quickie...4 nights in March celebrating DMom's bday and the F&G Festival!
I can sneak this one in without asking for any extra time off work.

I can't wait to see it...and all the magical details.
Lexi's favorite princess is Tiana so she will be soo excitted.

All this came about because I had to cancel the Mother's day/Cruise trip for next May.
Something came up at work and those dates won't work anymore.
And the more I thought about it I don't really want Lexi to miss more school than she already is.
The new booking is at the begining of her March break so it works out perfectly.

The other trip I booked is for August 20 to Sept 3. 2012 at ........

POP CENTURY !!!

I was bummed about having to cancel the cruise but this makes up for it!
I may try rebooking for August.

I told the very sweet CM on the phone that I'm trying to make the most out of our new Annual passes.

He is a nice guy. A few years ago, when we didn't even know him, but we had befriended his daughter, Cheena, who had worked at Pop Century. He came over to Pop one morning on his way to work and got Kay and me and drove us over to Caribbean Beach so we wouldn't have to pay cab fare. He walked around CBR with us a few minutes and offered to drive us to our park for the day, but we decided just to catch the bus and let him get on to work. He is a very nice guy - always smiling.

You have so many spectacular things planned! It makes the mundane things of life easier to do, knowing you have lots of fun things coming up!

Poor Cooper. It's hard on the little ones sometimes when they want to be big enough to do something but just aren't quite there yet.

I hope you can get into a good school system. It really is a joy to teach. It's the other stuff that makes us feel like we are carrying big weights around all the time while we are trying to be good teachers.

Well, even though I already knew, it was fun to see you bust it out on here.

I hope the next two weeks go by quickly, too, so we can get back to teaching and a routine. Right now, we have to give them last year's grade level seat work to keep them independently occupied while we test. It's really ridiculous, but these people love them some numbers in boxes, so we do it.

It always seems like I'm staying at the place with one of the farthest-away bus stops, I'm sure there's a logic and science towards where each resort is placed, but it always seems entirely random to me!

It seems like it would make it simpler at all parks if each resort had the same bus stop number. In other words, Pop is #9 or #14 or whatever at every park, no matter how far or how close to the entrance that might be. The bus people could work that out. Then people who didn't go all of the time would not have to be looking at signs for their stop number at the parks. You check into GF, and your bus stop is #1 in every park. Poly is #2 in every park, etc. You might have to walk a few more steps at one park or a few less at another, but that's no big deal.

I don't so mind the walk to the bus but the wait at the stop.
All of the days walking, heat and excittement can wear even the best adult down.

I love the expressions on the people passing by during the photopass moment. I guess it does look a bit unusual, but the finished product comes out cool. We always do whatever crazy thing they tell us to do!

Pixar Place is really great! I love that everything is made of giant toys.

The bus stops sometimes confuse me. We almost got on the wrong bus one night. At some parks we shared a bus with some resorts, but not at others.

Did your student teacher every show up? I hope you can get some help in the classroom.
