Yes I am really hoping to see some Christmas decorations at the fort! DH and I watched the Samantha brown special once and she showed all the crazy Christmas decorations!
Since we would be there over thanksgiving... Any thanksgiving meal recommendations? I can't remember the name of the restaurant at MK that serves something like that but I am thinking that it is not a character meal anymore??

Yup, this was the fun reading, now I got school readings to do.

Maybe he'll come over to see fireworks NYE. He was coming on the 4th, but he sent a text that said he had laid down on the couch to take a nap and ended up sleeping for like 4 hours!

That's so my dad. lol, I remember when I was younger I'd use to make "extra" noise if I wanted him to wake up and take me somewhere.

He is a nice guy. A few years ago, when we didn't even know him, but we had befriended his daughter, Cheena, who had worked at Pop Century. He came over to Pop one morning on his way to work and got Kay and me and drove us over to Caribbean Beach so we wouldn't have to pay cab fare. He walked around CBR with us a few minutes and offered to drive us to our park for the day, but we decided just to catch the bus and let him get on to work. He is a very nice guy - always smiling.

I remember him calling and telling me about that. It's a fun job for him (compared to his FT). He used to tell me about how he likes to clown around with guests and make everyone smile.

I'm sure you would find Ed very welcoming. Tell him you know us and Cheena, of course, through the DISboards, and he will probably grin.

He really likes meeting DISers.



I bet he'd love that! His co-workers might wonder how they could go about getting a fan club, too!






Good thing your internet friends weren't crazy enough to scare your dad. He probably was a little weary at first, since he's not comfortable with the social networking sites but he knows DISers are good people.

What! They moved the Pop bust stop at DHS?

The last I was there in 2009 it was the first stop. That was the only close stop. It made up for being the last stop at Epcot.

Oh that Minnie Poppins I have had my eye on her for a few years now...If I can justify the splurge (birthday present for myself? ) she might have to come home with me! I also love the Annette doll! My mum looked like her twin when she was young so I've always been fond of her. I'll also take the cute, ruffley Mickey and Minnie shirts and the Malecifent one!

Oh my gosh, I know what you mean about having the farthest bus stop. Pop always has a hike. When we tried out CBR last year, we were excited because we thought we might have a closer bus stop. Nope. Most of them were right next to Pop.

Got home a couple hours ago and all caught up!

I saw the pictures from the Tangled party on Facebook and it looks like it was a huge success. I love the parties that Jill has for the girls.

Starring Rolls is definitely on my list of places to try. I'd love to split a cupcake from there with someone, and I have a few that I'd like to suggest to whoever I'd be splitting it with!

The kids here go back next week. Cody does not go back until 9/1. Hope you are having a great start to this school year.

Just booked our room for Oct. I could not get POFQ for the AP discount so we are booked at POR. We have never stayed there but hopefully will like it.
I check every day to see if there are any rooms at POFQ.

The sight of the Disney cruise bus this morning made me....
I guess I was looking forward to it more than I thought.

Oh well, what can you do but to let it go and move on.

I feel the same way about the busses. Some nights after a long day...I wish our stop was much closer than it is.
I don't so mind the walk to the bus but the wait at the stop.
All of the days walking, heat and excittement can wear even the best adult down.
I just need my bed at that point....

So for the updates, I am going to do a list of thoughts. That seems like a popular thing to do in these parts.

• We've been to many different resorts, so we are used to playing bus wheel of fortune!

Also, did I miss the part where you and Brooklynn are going to be there in October?? My family will be there in October as well!! My dates are October 16-21. Are you having a DISmeet with your followers?

We will be there the 15th through 19th. What time do you come in on the 16th? That's the day I am meeting several DISers at/before Magic Kingdom that evening.

I love the expressions on the people passing by during the photopass moment. I guess it does look a bit unusual, but the finished product comes out cool. We always do whatever crazy thing they tell us to do!

Pixar Place is really great! I love that everything is made of giant toys.

The bus stops sometimes confuse me. We almost got on the wrong bus one night. At some parks we shared a bus with some resorts, but not at others.

Did your student teacher every show up? I hope you can get some help in the classroom.

Liberty Tree Tavern. We went when there were still characters. We liked it just fine. We ate there the day before Thanksgiving, because it was booked for Thanksgiving Day.

You'll be an owner one of these days. The craze is really catching on around here, and I think you may end up buying a few points for yourself one of these days.

It seems like it would make it simpler at all parks if each resort had the same bus stop number. In other words, Pop is #9 or #14 or whatever at every park, no matter how far or how close to the entrance that might be. The bus people could work that out. Then people who didn't go all of the time would not have to be looking at signs for their stop number at the parks. You check into GF, and your bus stop is #1 in every park. Poly is #2 in every park, etc. You might have to walk a few more steps at one park or a few less at another, but that's no big deal.

A great idea. It was great at DHS since the walk was short and the ride was short too.

Someone needs to explain to her the magic of Disney photopass photographer and I really think you should've gotten a photo MeMom Hehehehe I love the Duffy graduation bears and the "What Time is the 3:00 parade?" shirt Oh I hate how far away all the value resorts are from the entrance especially at DHS, so very annoying I don't know if I'll be staying at a value again, but I'm pretty sure they are some of the most packed resorts and Disney... so why so far away? But at least you got a comfy Cruise Line Bus, a big plus

The Art of Animation stores are some of my favorite on property! I have bought a few things in there in years past and have dreamt about buying many more!

Ed sounds like such a nice guy and what a sweetheart for walking you directly onto TSMM! Talk about First Class Service! Or maybe just some Pixie Dust!

Just found out last night that my two younger kids won't be starting school now until Sept 12th! There was mold found in the Elementary School, so they are replacing the carpets, cleaning the ducts and cleaning the library books! It was just decided late last night, so hopefully this 4-day delay is enough time to get it all done. My kids are excited to get another week off for the summer. My oldest, who is in the Middle School, will start on time (Sept 6th). She was ready start the day after school was out for the summer , so she's relieved there's no delay for her!

Hi there! I am finally getting caught up. Fantabulous Tangled party! Those were the neatest Fastpasses. I've never seen any like that before. We looked for Ed on our DHS day this summer both times we rode TSMM but didn't see him either time. Must've been his day off.

Started back to work "officially" today although I've been working in my room quite a bit before today. Meetings all day today and more tomorrow. They throw all this stuff at us and then wonder why we look like zombies!

Please send prayers and good thoughts for those of us here on the East Coast, especially the Outer Banks of NC and we here in Hampton Roads, VA as we are about to get pounded by Irene. My in-laws have a whole house generator so we will be heading up there Saturday morning to 'weather' the storm. I'm downloading another book to my Kindle and got some laminated stuff to cut-I'm all set!

Shopping out of the park is always a fun idea and it serves 2 purposes...shopping and cooling off in the A/C!
