Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Prayers and thoughts for your friends MeMom:hug: I hope you can live relatively stress free until you get away for your special time with Brooklynn. It really is wonderful how all of your stresses just melt away once you hit that property!:cloud9:

First - I'm so sorry about your friend's father.

Second - Oh my gosh- could they load you up any more this week???? You are going to really NEED this trip! I'm sure once you and Brooklynn get going, you're going to feel so relaxed and a weight lifted off your shoulders. I hope things go smoothly.

Third - Is the fire station all done now? I'd love to get that Mickey firefighter shirt for a friend of mine. I know when they visited in the past he took a badge from his department down there.

I've always wondered if anyone I knew had a picture on those legacy walls. Or a brick outside MK. Doesn't Wigd have a brick? I don't know why I would know that. We must have discussed it once on someone's TR!

Anywho... I hope you have a MAGICAL AND WONDERFUL trip with your beautiful granddaughter!!!! Enjoy, relax, and of course, report back with all the great memories later!

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. I will catch up this weekend but today is the second day of pictures at school (Don't know if any of you hae ever had the pleasure of doing professional photographs for 135 children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 4 years old, but it is exhausting!) I get to leave work at 2:45 today to pick Brooklynn up by 3:00 at school. Then it is back to work until 3:30, at 3:30 I have to run to the grocery store. I have to be back at work by 4:00 for a meeting with my 6 Prek teachers, until 5:00, Brooklynn plays soccer at 5:15 (luckily her school is about 6 minutes from mine) until 6:00 then we have to leave straight from the game, she will have a snack in the car on the way to gymnastics at 6:30. That will be over at 7:30. Home by 7:45 for dinner and baths and then I can start my regular household chores plus trying to get Brooklynn packed for Disney which I have not even begun!

You, Jill, Brooklynn and Bella should get an honorary pic on the wall for your intense love of all things Disney!

And how about I NEVER thought about moving the table between the beds to eat. Genius! I will be doing that next time. Much easier than all of us sitting criss cross applesauce on the bed trying not to spill anything and reaching over to the nightstand for drinks! :lmao:

That is awesome!!!

Moving the table works perfectly for us and we can always stick a chair at the end for a 5th person if we need to.

Wow Jill! I"m tired just reading that! I'm very excited that I get to met Miss Brooklynn and her MeMom. Sad that you and Bella won't be there. Maybe next time.

I got tired just reading this!!! I can't believe you haven't had time to pack yet !

Moving the table works perfectly for us and we can always stick a chair at the end for a 5th person if we need to.

That would be a great idea. I wouldn't have thought to do that either. We usually have two sit (kids) and we stand or sit elsewhere.

phew.... I am all caught up.

first - I am so sorry to hear about your friend's dad. I read through this report rather quickly, but noticed you have had to endure some sad moments over the last few months...

But you have also also made some wonderful memories with Jill and the girls...You must both be so excited for your upcoming trip. I will be there for Thanksgiving.

Jill -- Happy belated birthday. I requested you and memom on facebook.

Memom -- if I had looked at this report earlier, I would have totally voted for your classroom. The nemo is awesome. I have a finding nemo credit card... and it owns me.

Caren-

I don't have words to tell you I am sorry for your community's loss, so I will just say:

Cancer sucks.

Disney is wonderful though! Have a fantastic trip!

Hang in there Friday is coming.

Memom, I hope you have a wonderful trip! :wizard: I know you are going to love some special time alone with Brooklyn! :cutie: Have fun and safe travels.

I am totally making Christine and Kailyn go up to the shark and ray touch tank and touch them! I can't wait for our DIS meet.

Just wanted to share some exciting news...I'm not sure if you knew this, but I have been interning at a preschool for my class. Today, I was offered a position working afternoons there!!!! I'd be interning at my usual time and then getting paid to stay three hours after that. I'm obviously keeping my other job but I am very excited to actually be working in a preschool now. I can't wait to tell my professor about this, too!

Can't believe you guys are leaving so soon. Have a magical trip with Brooklynn!

Jill... I know exactly what your schedule feels like! Been there, done that! I would pick up one child and drop off then turn around and pick up the other and drop them off. Now one is off at college, and the other is driving, but it is still amazing how much I am running around with/for them. It goes by so fast, so try to "enjoy" it, even if it drives you crazy!

Prayers to Kay's family.

It is almost time for you guys to LEAVE!!!!

Hi friends! We have another baby. :) My niece Faith Katharine was born today at 5:15 pm. She's healthy & doing great. :) She's named after her Aunt Katie & I couldn't be happier. :) We're going to see her tomorrow so I'll have pictures soon.

Have a great Friday, everyone!!

Also, a close family friend (you've seen her in some of our pictures here over the years) lost her dad to cancer today, and the visitation is Thursday night. The funeral is Friday, so I have to decide whether I am going to try to go by there very quickly after tutoring and not go to the funeral, or if I will finish my packing Thursday night and take off of work for a while Friday and go to the funeral. I don't think I will be doing both.

I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers and good thoughts to the family.

Have a wonderful, magical and fantastic trip! I hope you are able to "disappear" into our happy place for a short time and just forget about all the worries and cares in the real world. ENJOY!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's dad and Kay's brother. My thoughts are with both of their families and I wish Kay's brother a speedy recovery.

My grandpa passed away last week. It was relatively quick but was definitely seemed more like a relief than tragedy. He was a wonderful man whom I miss dearly.

I hope you and Brooklynn have a wonderful trip! It sounds like you could use a nice break, so enjoy it! I cannot wait to see the pictures. :goodvibes

Memom, firstly i am sorry that you have close family friends that are suffering right now. It's never nice to see people you love upset .On a brighter note though, i wish you and your darling grandaughter a magical, wonderful time, and hope you make some precious memories that will stay with the both of you forever. Jill, i hope your photo day goes ok. I have had the delights of days like that, but for only about forty little one's.Each one comes to preschool with instructions from their Mums that they want their hair brushing in a certain way, outfits changing etc..:rotfl:Also, just keeping the other kids clean who are waiting for their turn . We never put out paints, playdough, glue activities while photo's were going on. One blob of paint and that's the whole outfit ruined.!I hope your day goes well!

MeMom I know how you feel about your hair & such down there. I NEVER look the same there as I do here. My hair frizzes here at home & down there it is 10 times worse so I usually wear a hat down there. When the girls at work see my pictures from my trip they say that it does not even look like me in the pics.

I love the pic of the ball & palm trees!!:lovestruc

Wow those Pop treats look amazing.:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful Thursday.:goodvibes

It takes me a half an hour just to make my hair look as awful as it does. I kind of wish bald was fashionable. ;)

I am ready to see a palm tree again! :cool1:

So sorry to read about your friend's dad.

I stood in a line that started outside my church building last night for 45 minutes to see the family. Mrs. Pat looked so weak and tired, and her eyes were swollen, but she was still smiling, as usual. Today will be very hard for them all. She is saying goodbye to her husband of 63 years, and it has got to be almost unbearable. She has great family and friend support, though, and she will make it okay.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's dad.

Just in case I don't get back over here before you trip, I hope you have a FABULOUS time and get the much deserved rest and relaxation that you need!

I can't wait until later on this afternoon when I can actually allow myself to start getting excited about it. Then I am going into full force frenzy. :woohoo: I just can't get too excited around Bella. :scared1:

I love taking pics of Spaceship Earth in any way, shape, or form!

And yes, I have one of those pics on the walls! (What are they called again? I completely forget at the moment.) Here I am, age 13 . (And my parents one is next to me.)

Cool! I don't think they take orders for them or the MK bricks anymore.

I hope Kay's brother gets better soon.

No worries about your hair. I am the same way. I never wear my hair pulled back at home but at Disney it is almost always pulled back. I just got it cut and I have know idea what to do with it. LOL

And I am worse than you about having my picture taken. I hate mine taken too. I don't think I have ever taken a "good" picture. I am just not photogenic at all.

I will be packing a small fan also. I run a box fan year round here. I have to have the noise to sleep. LOL If I could fit my box fan in my suitcase I would.

I guess since you and Anita have got "some" packing done I better get started. I leave tomorrow night!!!!

See ya soon!

The surgery was successful and very positive. They are going to sit him up today for the first time in eight days. He is moving all extremities, although one side is just barely moving.

I can't wear a ponytail, and I would look crazy in a hat, so I just have to do the best I can do and face looking awful!

I hated pictures even as a kid, so it's not just since I have gotten old, fat, and ugly. I would love to have a good picture of me with my girls for them to look fondly upon when I am gone, but I don't think that is ever going to happen. :sad1:

The very small fan I got is in a suitcase. I can't stand stagnant air. I feel like I am suffocating. The AC might be enough, but I'm glad I went ahead and bought the fan, too.

Ok, I want to know how you get your picture on the Epcot wall? I've seen them but have no idea how it works.

I don't think they do it any more.

Thanks for the MK morning! What a nice thought, to be there now!! :)

I hope you have a great few days before you leave!! You gals are going to have a FABULOUS time!!

I hope we will. Our cousins flew down last night. Brandy is skipping school meetings today. He principal is a little nicer than mine.

You, Jill, Brooklynn and Bella should get an honorary pic on the wall for your intense love of all things Disney!

That is awesome!!!

After a thousand trips, you learn the little tricks to make things easier. :)

I'm ready to pack the whole family up and move us all to Disney World to work there. Jill can run the pre-school/daycare for Disney workers, John can be an Imagineer, Drew can be a photographer or work in Lights, Motors, Action, Trent can work in a health club, and I'll work in Animal Kingdom or in one of the kids' clubs. That works, doesn't it??? :thumbsup2

I hope you have a great time with Brooklynn! That is so awesome that you get to have this experience together. Precious.

We leave on Saturday for our trip to California and we will be headed to Disneyland starting on Monday. My MIL is coming with us and she can't wait! I have been getting daily phone calls, texts, and e-mails to let me know how excited she is!

I hope you guys have a wonderful, magical time! I am glad your MIL gets to spend this time with those sweet girls. :lovestruc We look forward to seeing many pictures of the park we have never done. :thumbsup2

I love the fire station photos MeMom. Is that closing? I have never been inside. Bummer!

I think I read that it was closing right after we left, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone who has just been there can tell us.

Prayers and thoughts for your friends MeMom:hug: I hope you can live relatively stress free until you get away for your special time with Brooklynn. It really is wonderful how all of your stresses just melt away once you hit that property!:cloud9:

I was just given my second 'eval' time, and it is right after we get back. I'll be glad to get it over with so that I can enjoy all of my holidays without any of that hanging over me. Of course, there is another round of two awaiting in the winter and spring. :sad2:

I hope the Disney magic embraces me this time for sure!!! :wizard:

You might check with the NY Disney Store. They might have the firefighter shirts, if indeed the fire station did close and those kinds of shirts are not there any longer. If I think about it, I will check when I am there and take a picture of the shirt and one of the tag information.

Tinkgurl has a Magic Kingdom brick, but I don't think Wigd does.

Wow Jill! I"m tired just reading that! I'm very excited that I get to met Miss Brooklynn and her MeMom. Sad that you and Bella won't be there. Maybe next time.

I will miss them, too. I would like it if they were joining us in a few days, which is what we are planning to do next summer. That's the best of both worlds - special time with the girl who made me a MeMom, and then my other much beloved girls coming on soon. :thumbsup2

That would be a great idea. I wouldn't have thought to do that either. We usually have two sit (kids) and we stand or sit elsewhere.

We've experimented with moving furniture around depending on if we have playpens, air mattresses, etc., depending on the make-up of the group. Since Jill's room is more filled with 'stuff', and I have an extra bed and more space in mine, we often use mine as the dining room.

phew.... I am all caught up.

We have had ups and downs, and we know people who have gone through a lot of heartaches. Everybody should pack up and go to Disney World to have some happy time now. :wizard:

Caren-

I don't have words to tell you I am sorry for your community's loss, so I will just say:

Cancer sucks.

Disney is wonderful though! Have a fantastic trip!

It does, but I will say he lived a full and good life. It is easier to take his passing than it is to take a three year old boy whoo leaves behind his two brothers - one just old enough to ask questions and the other too young to ever remember him. Mr. Joe lived a full life and had many, many friends, as witnessed from the long line running out of the church building last night.

Disney is wonderful, and I hope it stays that way forever. When I think if heaven, I really do think of it as being like Disney times a million never ending!

I remember those days. I would be in the car for hour starting at 3:30 until everyone was picked up and delivered and picked upa again and brought home.

You guys have a great time together visiting the sharks and rays. I will be looking for those 'proof' pictures. ;)

Yeah, so it is a good thing I finally got things together at 9:20 last night. :upsidedow

I will tell Kay that a lot of DIS friends have been keeping her in their thoughts and prayers.

Have a fantastic trip!:goodvibes

:tigger: We will!
