Military Discount Extended

I just called. CRO says they have no information on a 2016 offer at this time. I'm staying tuned for updates from Steve's Military Disney Tips site. I figure when he sends out an email or updates, everyone will be on the same page.
Still, I think it's great we can see the offer. It looks like the usual rules and restrictions apply.

The dates for 2016 WDW Military Salute:
Enjoy great rates at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels when you book by December 19, 2016 for stays most nights from January 3 through December 19, 2016. Offer not valid March 20 through April 1, 2016.

I keep getting through the automated information, then get a technical difficulties message, then go through more automated information and get disconnected. Fun times!

**ETA - I got the same info as gwynne - they don't have any information on it yet even though it's on their website. The CM said maybe try back this afternoon and hopefully they'll have some info by then.

Hopefully the offer will be loaded sometime soon. I will try again in the afternoon today.

Just got a general email announcement from Steve (Disney Military Tips guy).
He says the Disney Military Salute will be released at 3pm Eastern Time today.
(He asks us not to call before 3pm.)

Can anyone tell me if I need anything special to call and get discount? Or do they just check when you check in? I know hubby is eligible (22 yrs in guard, retired a few years ago), but I don't want to be on hold for 2 hours to find out I needed some kind of ID number or something

Just got off the phone. Modified an existing room only ressie at BC (garden view) for first week of March. Military discount applied with ease and saved over $800. Total call time was less than 5 minutes.

No Militarty related info was asked by CM just now. Guessing it will required at check in.

I'll be sure to post when the email comes out from Disney Military Tips that the offer is ready to go.
