Can anyone give me some info on this? We will be going Dec 5-10 and I am considering this, but dont know a whole lot about it. I was also wondering what the cost was for this and if it was worth it? My kids are 10 and 7.

Thanks

We have been to both MVMCP and the MNSHP. I don't know which one is better! I highly recommend the parties, especially the ones farthest from the actual date of the holiday. Crowds are light, sometimes non-existant. Being at the park at night is fun, there are special shows you don't get to see otherwise.

Overall, they're just a blast!

Can't remember the price, but I want to say $32. for adult tix this past December.

I generally view the party nights as a way to ride certain rides with shorter lines.

You will get a souvenir photo and see a parade only seen during the party.

Personally, I do not attend a party on a day that i have visited a park and used a day on my park hopper ticket. The party day is a "down" day that I use for hanging out in the campground or visiting other hotels and Downtown Disney. If you figure $50 for the day admission and $35 for the party that is just a little steep for me.

We have gone to MVMCP the last 3 years all around the 12 of Dec. The tickets do sell out so if you want to go, buy early. My sister decided she wanted to go with us this year but ALAS she could not get tickets.. SOLD OUT.
It really is alot of fun, the Christmas shows are wonderful and you get free christmas cookies and hot chocolate. Plus the free photo and pin.
My kids 6 and 15 enjoy it and so do DH and Myself. It was like 35.00 advance sale I think. I got ours like 2 months early.
Most of the rides are open, I think the only things that weren't open is Thunder Mountain and Toon Town and of course the things that are closed for refurbishment. I don't think the safari ride was open either. It doesn't matter you have from like 6 p.m. until midnight to ride. Like I said the Christmas shows are great and yes they do the regular Christmas parade.::MickeyMo

We're going the same time you are!!:bounce: We did MVMCP in 12/02...and totally LOVED it!!! :sunny: It's not just the rides...you can do them on a day in the park. We stuck with all the special things that are there on those nights only. The parade, fireworks (NOT TO BE MISSED!!), the shows, the family photo, the free cookies and hot chocolate.....THE SNOW!! :jumping1: Definitely GO!!!::yes::

GO! We've gone the 3 times we were there in early December and really love it. The atmosphere is terrific, lines short, cookies and hot chocolate free and HOW can you beat walking down Main Street under the gently falling 'snow'? The fireworks are spectacular, with the finale coming from all around the park - 360 degrees of fun! Contrary to an earlier post, Big Thunder Mountain and ToonTown Fair were always open during our visits to MVMCP. The only attractions closed were Tom Sawyer's Island and the Riverboat.
