"Mickey's" Philharmagic is really...

One of our faves....we do it first day, and I am always blown away, and we always do it ("Mommy, let's go see the Donald is a bad boy movie one more time, please?") before we head back to the hotel for our DME pick up. Love it, love it, love it!!! Can't wait til next year!

ITA!!!! I just saqw it for the first time in July during EMH am hours and after we saw it we went right back in and saw it again. I too always reach for those pretty, pretty jewels.

The bummer about MP? My DH has lazy eye pirate: and cannot see 3-D so I guess I'll be seeing it alone a lot next January.

I always reach for the jewels too! I love Mickey's Philharmagic. It's one of my must sees!

I too absolutely LOVE Philharmagic!!! I still get a bit misty-eyed on this attraction each time I go on it!!! It is a must do each and every trip (several times!!!):lovestruc

Both myself and my girls loved this!

It was great to see my girls (their 1st time at Disney) trying to touch the 3D stuff! And was pleasantly surprised with the different aspects to touch our senses.

My dd2 loved the end. She keeps asking why on earth was Donald on the back wall! LOL

Truly a great show!

What a great thread! I love love love Philharmagic! I am in complete awe of how Disney creates these attractions and makes you feel like you're right there with all the action.

I can't wait to see it again (more than once)!

:goodvibes

Oh it's just wonderful! I love how it brings together so many favourites into one great show! And even though I'm an adult and I know they're not there, I love reaching for the 3D parts! ;)

Robo, as usual, is spot-on.

To me, Philharmagic is what Disney Magic is all about.

This to me is the best of Disney magic. :wizard:

I will never forget my son's reaction when Donald flew through the theater and landed in the back wall. He ripped off his glasses and started yelling "mom, he's real!! He's really there!! He flew out of the movie" I have dreamed of taking my kids to Disney for several years and this is a memory I will always treasure.

I love this above quote about Donald, my little 2 yr old DGD talked for months that Donald has a Boo Boo. It was so cute. She just went on and on to whom ever she saw. We would then have to explain what she was talking about. She is 5 now, it is still her favorite.

It is definitely a don't miss attraction for me! I love 3D, but Philharmagic is on a different level completely.

Amen! We loved it! I, too, was holding my hands out for the butterfly to sit in my hand. I knew it wasn't real but man it sure was magical! DD(6) and I went to Muppet Vision 3D and it was the biggest let down for me after seeing Philharmagic.

I have done this attraction several times now, and never get tired of it. I believe it is a true masterpiece.:worship:

I agree!!!! We have gone to Disney several times and passed it up thinking it would be nothing. Well, our last night it poured rain, so we decided to go in to get dry. It is a hidden gem at Disney. My granddaughter (almost 4) about fell out of her seat so many times grabbing for things. I must admit, so did I. We were in the back row and the CM was cracking up watching my family. We love this attraction!

Hmm...I only saw Philharmagic once on our trip last December. Honestly I didn't notice anything above and beyond a 3-D show such as MuppetVision :confused3 maybe I need to try it again to get the full effect of it?

I do agree that Soarin' in 3-D would be phenomenal.

I think it's a combination of factors that makes this attraction incredible. The 3-d, the smells, the clips of classic movies and Donald Duck..how can you go wrong?

Just a neat tidbit,BTW. When I did the KTTK tour, the guide said that Walt had always wanted to make a movie that was a complete interactive experience - I believe she said he wanted to make Fantasia like that, but just couldn't do it at the time. So, I think Walt would approve of this attraction. I think the fact that people of all ages love it is very telling.

But, if you don't enjoy it that much, nothing wrong with that. I don't really think you can compare it to Muppets 3-d though. Philamagic is head and shoulders above it. Just my 2 cents.

The only bad thing about this attraction is that it makes all the other 3D movies in Disney world seem outdated.

This is the best 3D I have ever seen. When I go to the muppet and honey I shrunk the audience attraction, it no longer has that wow factor, because Philarmagic is so awesome.

I literally feel like I'm in the movie.
