Did anyone else get an offer for this? Did you join? It's 9.99 per year and you earn points for shopping plus you get 40% off one full price item every time you shop there. It sounds like it could be a good deal if you used it enough. Here's the link, if you want to check it out.

I can't decide whether it's worth it to me to sign up. You'd get your 9.99 back after spending $400 since you get a 10.00 gift certificate at that point. I don't really want to spend that much there but I probably do.

Opinions anyone?

Well, it's not transferable, strictly a just for you offer. And once you take it, the offer closes as "redeemed". My offer wasn't as good as your's, but I took it. They are trying different things in different areas.

I'm wondering if I jumped too soon. If I had waited, I might have gotten a better offer, but I think it's based on geographical areas, according to the message boards. I figure I'll recoup the cost quickly in savings. I'm a really good customer :cutie:

I got an email, but it was $19.99 yearly for me. Considering right now the coupons are free to anyone I didn't think it was that good of a deal. I don't go to Michael's as much as I used to, so it would probably take me awhile to earn that money back.

I actually thought it was a tad insulting - if they really wanted to honor their "preferred" customers, they wouldn't be charging anything for it. I know most of my LSS's have a punch card kind of thing where they give credit once you spend a certain amount. It would be nice to see the box stores do the same thing.

I must have looked to quickly - I didn't realize it was a just for me. So, my offer sounds good?

All the offers are different. I'm wondering if they are going to stop accepting coupons, and just have these cards in the future. My offer was the highest costing one, but I get 20% off all reg priced items. I have to earn 2000 points to get the gift certificate. It works out to like $2/month, and I defiantly will recoup that in the 20% savings/month.

My shopping with Mike's is that I ALWAYS need stuff that is not on sale, and 1 40% just doesn't cut it for me. I can wait for scrappy stuff sales, but I do jewelry, and that has been an "I need it now" kind of thing...or I buy yarn for a big project. AND I think my BFF is going to be quiting sometime this year, so my (her) "employee discount" will be gone then. And like I said, I'm a really good customer :rolleyes1

Anyway, at first I wasn't interested, but then I talked to Dh about it. He thought it was a good idea, judging by my spending habits. He also has some cards to boating stores that charge fees, so it wasn't new to him. Maybe if they called it something else, like a preferred customer club or something besides "rewards" it would sound better :confused3 because that's more what it is...KWIM?

Sounds like the offer I got -- $24.99, 20% off non-sale items at every purchase, 10 pts per $1, 2000 pts = $10 gift card.

I have to think about it, but I only have 3 days to repsond. I usually wait for sales or use 40% for scrapbooking stuff. I have to think about all of those non-scrap things, to see if it is worth it for me.

Yup, that's the one. Must be what they are offering in our area...

My offer was only for 5 pts per dollar. Maybe they're testing all different scenarios to see which one works the best. I still haven't decided what to do and I have to accept it today if I'm getting it.

My offer is for 10 pts for every $1 spent and a $19.99/fee ... so I'd have to spend $200 to get the $10 card ... which could be done ... hrm ....

No -- you'd have to spend $400 to break even. When you spend $600, you'll have your free $10. Does your offer incluse the 20% off regular price everytime you shop? Since mine does, I may do it.

This is the deal I got, too. If they had this a year ago, I probably would have signed up, but I haven't been buying as much stuff since I'm doing a lot of digital lately. AC Moore's reward program is free, which they had one like that.

I have the acmoore card and it was free. I wouldn't pay for this offer as I don't usually go to michaels.
I got the same offer as 123SA.
I'll stick to my acmoore even though I still am not used to the new store
Cindy

i did not get an offer either. and i'd love an acm offer. how do i get that one??
