Mornin'!
After a busy weekend, this week is gonna be busy too! We started school a couple weeks ago and already we are taking a couple days off. BUT , for good reason.
I have a friend that needs some prayers, she has cancer and on major chemo. She is a single mom to a 9 year old daughter. Dad is out of the picture right now. We are going to see her today. She called to tell me how Ashton's story has inspired her and is seeking her DD to get to know her and Haley better. I think for hope. And friendship. Anyway- it is drudging up some stuff in me I am not sure I wanna go back to-but on the other hand, feel like this is a reason Ashton was sick-to give others hope.
Anyway, the mom is desperate and scared and hanging the end of her rope with great clenched fists, believing, when she lets go, she lands in healing waters.
Thank you SO much for the icing ideas-although it was chocolate cake and I am not sure fruit would have worked with that. I need to google some good low/no sugar recipes for him. I have a book, but I need realistic stuff to make when he is over. I made more of that mango poppyseed vinaigrette(Poly luau dressing) and he couldn't have it-well much of it. My DB is HOOKED on it! Anyway, I wish dad were closer. It is sad when we have to think about how much gas will be to see each other. He lives in River Ridge, we live in Covington and DB and SIL, in Gonzales. My other DB and SIL are in Kentwood and sister is with my dad.
On another note- my job worries are true. The other PRN'er went and asked our boss(she got to her before I did) and she admitted it to her but couldn't look at her in the eyes. So, I am on the market for new experiences to get paid for. I just wish I could find a schedule like the one have now-it is very hard to find my work on weekends or contract here in La. I am disgusted and a bit peeo'ed
. Well, this may be the last year of homeschooling-
-but I am hoping and believin' NOT
....
Anyhoo...
I got to see my DN4 and new goddaughter yesterday too and snuggle with her!!! Also, DN6, who is being shuffled around for her annual visitation schedule, called me last night SO excited to be HOME. She is gone every 2 weeks, for 2 weeks, to see her dad and his family in Florida. I miss her sooo much. I saw her a few weeks ago when she spent the night for 2 nights, along with DN4, after her sister was born! I think I may have a "Camp Nana" every summer! Seriously!
