Jenny, Glad y'all had so much fun! I've got to see those pictures! Other people have been chatting about that show & the Wine room on the rest boards. Thanks for the info., I'll have to check it out.

Tricia, Love your family pic. I'm glad you had a relaxing time.

Kathy, Glad you're getting your mammogram. I skipped mine last year, I'll have to do that soon too.

The funeral went as well as can be expected. Alexis started to get upset, until my other sis-in-law invited her to over to play with her cousins. So she took her over there after the mass, I went back & picked her up later. She absolutely did not want to go over to her Granny & Paw-Paw's house with the rest of the family. She was very clear about her reasons too, " It just makes me too sad that Granny is not at her house." So we went back to our house til her Mom & Dad were ready to go home.

Did ya'll stay at the Caribe? We went there last year and thought the lazy river was great there. I also love the wharf in Orange Beach. I wish we had something like that around here. We went there last Labor Day ate and shopped at the wharf, and then saw Gretchen Wilson at the Ampitheatre there

Also, you have a great-looking family

No, we stayed at Phoenix on the Bay in Orange Beach. I've heard that the Caribe had a lazy river but we've never been there. How is it? Brooks and Dunn were playing the night we were at the Wharf but the concert was sold out.

This is a picture of Kelsie on the balcony where you can see in the background how the resort makes a horseshoe of all the Condo's overlooking the lazy river and pools.

Sheryl - I'm glad Alexis made it through yesterday fairly well, a death is tough enough for us adults to handle, so much harder for the little ones to really understand.

Oh yes, especially with the gay men running over screaming "AHHHH, OMG, is she OK???? " (Aquatic Gardens is right outside the French Quarter) Major drama, quite a scene! Looking back on it, it is a little bit funny...

We had a rained out BBQ yesterday evening- it even looked tornado-y like-all dark then it got brighter, almost green cast to it-then the sunset turned it a yucky grey-ish prange. It was really freaky looking. We had a BBQ yesterday with some friends and then Hannah Montana came on so we all watched it in 3-D on Disney and DH put it on the stereo-it was loud. One of the families over has a 10 month old girl and a 13 year old boy-we laughed that they stayed with us through that!!! We said, "that's okay, when your little one is goo gooing over some Disney singer/actor/whatever, and you have a get together, we'll sit through it with you......maybe!" Okay so the 13 year old boy says Hannah is okay looking- and that 'personality counts'-I think he was trying to impress his dad, sitting next to me. His dad is trying desperately to mold him into a decent potential hubby one day!

Today we are having abirthday party for my dad. I found low sugar cake mix(he is diabetic), but the icing is regualr . I couldn't find low sugar icing. Thought about making it, BUT since we are having a busy weekend, I really haven't had time.

Are you trying to load it directly to the DIS or to photobucket/photohosting site? I use photobucket then paste the IMG code it gives into the post here and usually don't have any problems.

oh thanks - hadnt though of the photobucket option! I was trying to load it here directly. will do that later!

great no-bake cake a la my mom: get an angel food cake (bundt like with hold in middle). slice about an inch around the whole top ans set aside. tunnel out of the middle and fill with mixture of cut up strawberries and cool whip. put the top back on and ice with cool whip. cut strawberries in half and use for decoration. (can use the discarded inside cake to dip in cool whip!) I would guess you can use other fruit as well! you can chill in fridge then take out and serve.

lorie, how is Sienna today?

Tricia, my kids love the caribe. The pool has a very nice slide on one side and zero entry on the other side. The only thing is, the condo's are not right on the beach. It is a very short walk though(5 minutes), and they do offer a shuttle. It sounds like ya'll had a great time at the Phoenix. Your daughter is very beautiful
