Kathy-glad everything was ok, but hoping they find the problem
It's getting a little better here.
I may be coming in sooner than originally planned(end of April and then in June) b/c my mawmaw is in her last days. Hospice called and told us she will most likely get to heaven in a couple weeks, or days. She is 94 and has had a wonderful life. We are not sad. She's gonna go be with her hubby. However, it IS sad, that my sister, mom, cousin and ourselves are thankful to see each other sooner than expected.I just think it is the IDEA we live further now. My cousin is in Tennessee so we never see each other.
Mawmaw will get a party instead of a sad funeral- but I think she'd like that better anyway.
What is truly sad is that her son(my uncle) is a moron and they are taking things from her already. They took the very necklace off of her neck that had her late husbands wedding ring on it that she asked to keep till she passed. She is not with it right now and they took it off of her. Like I said, he and his family are morons. His family goes to stay with her and they eat everything she has plus they put dinners on her tab at the assissted living facility. Everyone else brings thier food with them from home. She is not eating much but when she wants something- it's all gone. Like a coke- they(uncle, and kids) drank everyone she had and refused to replace them till my sister demanded it when mawmaw asked for one and theren't any.
ugh...... I could go on and on................
I will FB you all the dates we have scheduled to come home-June will be the best time if you all are available to get together.

Just heard from my Dr., my EKG & monitor results showed nothing so he wants to see me on Friday to refer me to a cardiologist since I'm still experiencing the palpitations. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.![]()

Rie'smom - Feel better!![]()
I'm debating writing a trip report on the TR board or if I should just embed it here. All I want to do right now is go to sleep.
The wind is howling. The dew points behind this front are only in the 20s. That means drier air; that means my sinuses will stage a revolt tomorrow. They've decided they do not DO dry air.

I came back home fdrom the camp today and will be for the forseeable future because I have SHINGLES! UGH- I had it about 10 years ago and relapses are not uncommon.
On the bright side, I'll get to visit with y'all more often.

Riesmom- yuck! am soo sorry- hope you feel better.........
Kathy-
Paul just said he underestimated how much he misses our church family. Church here is so different and so far it sucks b/c it isn't STUMC!
Every time we do something new that should resemble something like home, we are disappointed. Wednesday night dinner was very............ummmmm............elderly. Ashton said it smelled like Mawmaw's assisted living facility. I didn't get that but Paul agreed with her. Not sure we'll return to that. Only plus is that it's one less meal I gotta make during the week! The 4 of us can eat for $15
Gonna try another church this weekend. WE went to this one this pase weekend and it was better then our experience in Houston- it was do-able!

Hi gang I'm checking in quickly.
I've been lying low this week..today was my last day at my downtown office and tomorrow will be my last day at my Jackson office....I've grown very fond of my team there; I know alot of tears will be shed so bringing alot of tissue.
to Kathy and Julie..I hope you both feel better soon.
Bethany I hope you've recovered
Lori how much unpacking do you have left?
Good luck finding a home church. When I was growing up, young people in Florida were a rare findNot so much the case now. Keep looking. You might find that the churches will get a younger crew over the next few months as the snowbirds fly back home soon.
Well, it strikes in three, right? Last week, Spencer. This week, Logan. I think he fractured his arm tonight. I am not taking him to the emergency room though. From experience, they wrap it (did that), tell me to put ice on it (done), and give him tylenol for pain (have that) so I am waiting till the morning to take him to the doctor. Really sad that I have insurance that I really can't afford to use since another ER copay really isn't in this months budget. Not sure whether to go to our regular pediatrician or straight to the orthopedist. I will decide in the morning. And just what caused the latest injury... he was pushed out of a chair... by our repeat offender.... (and also the one who helped Spencer fall out of his bed) Now I am really worried about next week!!!!
Julie, feel better. So sorry about the shingles.
Serena, sorry you are sad about leaving your team. Times like these make you wish you could bottle the people and take them with you.. huh.
Bethany... love your new signature.
