so...went to Lafitte for this crawfish boil that wasn't there...they had moved it to Algiers because of impending bad weather. that of course didn't happen....

but was nice to be inside in the A/C!

Wow! Looks like a few of us may be at WDW at the same time! We leave on the 30th, coming home on June 5th.

We will just miss each other. We leave tomorrow morning and come back home on the 30th. Have a great trip.

Girl you better get to packing....we leave next Thursday. I went shopping for a few new outfits yesterday so I am almost there. LOL

I have been taking it easy today until about an hour ago. I am attempting to excavate my desk. It seems to have gotten buried under a pile of important pieces of paper.

I am still coughing something fierce.

DD and I are staying at the Wilderness Lodge that is our all time fav....

Y'all have fun on your trips!!! I just realized when I read the email that this is the first time in 7 years that we're not at WDW over the Memorial Day weekend and the week following it.

I could not buy Goodnight Nola b/c it felt so real. But I will bring myself to get it before we leave-maybe the day before!!

I was flipping through that Cooking up a Storm book at my friend's house. The whole thing is kind of lost on me though because I can't really read recipes....

I wonder if they make a Goodnight NYC book....oh wait....we don't sleep...nevermind....

Oh, we got the Goodnight NOLA book for our granddaughter for Easter. I love it! I can't imagine reading it though if you are leaving.

I haven't stayed at Saratoga yet. (Or WL, for that matter...) I HAVE been to the REAL Saratoga Springs in upstate New York once. I have some photos of it around here somewhere....

And as for the WL, I had the opportunity available to me to stay there at VWL with somebody back in December for my weekend trip. I stayed "alone" at POFQ instead. I had a room to myself but some of my friends were at POFQ also. One night at about midnight we all ran into each other. No idea why we were ALL up at midnight, in the SAME spot .... but it was fun.

Ok gals, i need some help.

We are planning on getting a home that will allow me to not have to work, BUT we cannot fit vacation savings into our budget- soooooo I will have to work for vacations b/c THAT is mandatory!!

AS you know, i am thinking of doing the switcheroo on my career. As I AM afraid to leave it completely, I am also THAT over it. Why am I afraid to leave it behind???? I make good money in a little bit of time, but that is not to say I could do as well at something different, I will just have to be crafty. Of course, if this doesn't work out, I will use the old ultrasound skills as a backup plan. I really want to make money at something from home, if possible. Thankfully, Paul is all about it(what a difference from my wanting to strangle him the other day). He wants me to find something I love again. I do LIKE doing echoes, but I do not LOVE it like I used to. I have been doing this for 14 years.

I know we have a cake decorator teacher in our group and wondering if I could get some tips and advice.

I have decided to take cake decorating classes at Michaels. Calling tomorrow! I have limited and web based learning so far! I wanna learn how to make a scrumptious cake first-from scratch. I had one not from a box a couple months back and OMG-yum!

I can decorate and make a theme cake but want to step it up a notch. Maybe I can make cakes for that vacation $$ or something. of course, it is late, I am still emotional about the whole moving thing and kinda excited about having this option. But you know I may wind up doing contract echoes to get home and to Disney quicker. i also would lvoe to get my kids to DC, but cannot find it in my heart to skip going to Disney for it right now.

Just pondering at midnight.

ok leaving to sing at church..wish me luck! here is the video from yesterday...Grayce video'd it for me on y own camera - had it for 5+ years and had NO idea it did video!! anyway, Grayce and my pastor are singing along with it so that is most of what you hear. I will have one of my friends re-shoot it today. If I can get myself on camera singing I can submit it to the Hornets for next year to be considered for one of their games!....

Lori....Texas is getting new license plates. You may or may not like them. Part of it looks like it was colored with crayons!

And I figured out why my a/c wasn't working. The knob is broken, so even though it LOOKED like it was on "cool", it was really only on "fan". Big difference!
