I'm off of Nana duty today, so I'll take advantage of my freedom to drive again! Grocery shopping, wine shopping & just plain ole shopping shopping!

Lauri, I'm glad to hear that the trip next year is a go! When we start planning we'll have to make sure to try to be there at the same time. Another Nola girls Disney Meet sure would be fun.

I think this will be year 3 for meeting up with Lori & Rick!

Terry, I'm sorry Aly is sick, I hate the long waits in dr's offices. Glad you had fun last night but you must be really pooped today!

We showed the house today! The potential buyers are wanting to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit and that ends at the end of September.

Hey, sorry I haven't posted on here in a few days. My son, David had the H1N1 type A virus (swine). He started feeling better yesterday, but I kept him home one more day--just to be sure. He is going back to school tomorrow. The teachers have been very nice. They have emailed me some things he should do to keep up.

So sorry he got the flu, glad he's doing better.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, so I'm taking her to lunch and shopping. See y'all later and have a magical day!

I left Jackson at Noon, took Aly to the Dr for 4 where we waited for 1.5 hours before seeing him and didn't get out of there until 6!! she has an ear infection. We didn't make it to gym because we were both too tired so took her home. DH and I got dressed and headed to Jaime Fox Concert which we enjoyed. Got home for 11:30.

Nothing makes me madder than waiting to see a Dr THAT long!

I just got some horrible news. Jonny's sister's husband who has been ill for a very long time passed away a short time ago. He was just released from the hospital a few days ago and seemed to be doing fairly well. SIL found him and called Johnny. Prayers for Shelly please.

We had a wonderful day! If any of you are ever in Houma, try Danny Bilellos cafe. The food is delicious- especially the Pasta Yvette. It's angel hair pasta with a light buttery sauce, shrimp and lump crab meat.

I am at the point to be grateful to have survived, but it is hard to celebrate something that has exacted such a high price emotionally and financially for so many. I am grateful to be home though every time I go somewhere and see someone I know - there's NO place like home!

Yes, the weekends fly by...especially when half the weekend you are a hot mess, feeling vaguely like you've been ran over by a truck. At least I'm feeling good today!

I had so much fun on Friday night! We REALLY have to do that again sometime! I saw about 15 on the walls that I'd like to do...

Today is August 30th....I flew down to stay on June 30th...that means I've lived here for TWO MONTHS now! People occasionally ask if I regret moving here. For the record, the answer is NO!

Bethany - happy 2 month anniversary!

Work was slow on Thursday (until 5pm), so one of us got sent home. My coworker said she'd work for me Sunday (since she's been having to go on Sundays anyway to dip her cat) if she could leave early on Thursday. So I have today off. I was up bright and early at 8am and thought it would be great to go to the zoo today. Except that Tony decided to stay up all night playing football on the playstation and was just going to bed at 8am. So I went back to sleep. He only woke up b/c his friend showed up at the door unannounced, and is playing football again. Oh, and no one has eaten anything all day yet. I can't fix myself anything b/c I refuse to do dishes that are his responsibility and everything is dirty.

So now I'm disappointed that I didn't get to go to the zoo, cranky b/c I'm hungry, put off with this friend that he knows is not welcome to be here, aggravated that he didn't clean the kitchen, p.o.ed b/c I can't even make myself something to eat b/c EVERY dish, utensil and pot or pan is dirty, and disgusted b/c I'm gonna have to ruin my day off by yelling at him and starting a fight b/c he's inconsiderate, irresponsible and lazy. I might just go back to sleep.
